Thieves. Sneaky and dishonest. Do not sell your silver here--they will cheat you out of your money. At the time, silver was at its highest (around $92), and they paid my wife only $42 for a Morgan dollar. She didn't realize she'd been cheated until we got home (she isn't knowledgeable about coins). They claimed Morgan dollars are only 70% silver and said this was the going rate. They also admitted they priced a separate coin incorrectly--a War Nickel. When she called just two hours later, they told her that if we wanted our coins back, we'd have to dig through a bin and buy them back. They made no effort to correct their mistake or make things right and showed no concern at all. Yes, my wife should have walked away--but I'm sharing this so others know what kind of business this is. It feels more like a pawn shop than a reputable coin dealer. Buyer beware. read more

I had an extremely unpleasant experience here. As soon as I walked in, an older woman with short hair at the front was incredibly rude. She immediately yelled at me for wearing sunglasses, demanding that I remove them and look at the camera. Then, in an unnecessarily confrontational tone, she followed up with, "Now you can't do what you were thinking about doing." I was completely caught off guard--especially since all I did was walk through the door. Fast forward 5 weeks later after finding out my future fiances ring size, I proposed. I thought I was getting my jewelry appraised. I didn't know the diamond size or quality from my family. My jewelry was sorted by gold weight (10,14,18 ) and only one of 3 diamonds was looked at under loop. All were tested by electronic probe to identify them as diamonds. Much to my surprise I didn't get the service I expected. A tally sheet for all pieces by weight and price. Sadly I just wanted to know each diamond's quality. Their gold and silver buying process, though busy, is efficient. I don't know about other places and pricing, so I can't compare. The staff that I've worked with at the scrap counter, has always been helpful, educational, prompt and friendly. This is the primary reason I visit. However, I took in a 14k gold band that had three rows of small diamonds. One of the diamonds was missing, and the band needed resized. Upon return...the replacement diamond was grey. It stuck out like a flashing neon sign. UGLY! The sizing was also off, and it was almost impossible to put the ring on and take it off. So...my $50 would've been a waste if they hadn't bought it for scrap for $50. read more
