Went in with my diamond wedding ring and anniversary band for ideas on how to combine the two or possibly have the solitaire reset and do something creative with the other stones. I also had my grandmothers antique ring - not worth much but sentimental - wanted to see if there's anything I can do with that. I waited five minutes to be waited on while the clerk chatted with someone who was apparently not in a hurry to leave. I finally got her attention and hadn't been working together for three minutes before another clerk repeatedly kept asking for her help until she finally just interrupted us. Apparently there was a ring they had put on hold for someone and the person helping me was the only employee in the entire place who could find it. So then she dropped me and started waiting on that customer, including a visit to the manager to get him a deeper discount, and she began ringing up the sale. I guess a $700 sale was more important than my measly $200-500 worth of services. I wanted to lay a Pretty Woman quote on her and tell her big mistake - big. While today I was only looking for some service on existing jewelry she just lost a potential customer who would've spent a heck of a lot more than this pink kid buying a rinky dink ring for his girlfriend. Oh - and the way she TOSSED my grandmother's 80-year old wedding ring (broken shank, cheap diamond and all) back at me and told me to "just sell it" didn't sit well with me either. I am fully aware it is a piece of shit but it was MY GRANDMOTHERS WEDDING RING, lady! What is wrong with you?!!! Never again. read more

I requested a quote on a set of sterling silverware and the quote was almost 1/2 of the melt value of the silver. Very disappointing. I realize they are in the business to make money but this quote was an insult. read more

I took several rings to be resized and the bill was hefty. A nice job would have made it worth the money however none of the rings fit correctly. One ring, a family heirloom, broke the first day I wore it. I brought several of the rings back after being told they would be corrected. Upon my arrival the owner started to complete another ticket and charge me again for work that should have been done correctly the first time. Even after telling me he would fix them. I was shocked that he thought I would pay again. It would have been nice if he would have looked me up to see the cost the first go around. The product was disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend this business to anyone wanting to be treated fairly or take their prized jewelry to be worked on. read more

Worst place ever! I contacted them online to see if they would give me an idea of how much my 50 + year old set of silverware is worth, just for insurance purposes. Chris wrote, yes pls come in. Then I went there, he wasn't there, but his people treated me like sh... They crashed my silverware (126 piece) on the scale and told me, how little they would pay for. THAT WASNT THE QUESTION! DO NOT GET ANY JEWELRY RESIZED OR FIXED HERE!!!!! Worst jeweler I have ever been to we brought my fiancé ring to get resized, first they took almost twice as long as they were supposed too, but also DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT THE CORRECT SIZE in which they sized her for... and to top it off the ring looked like it just got fixed by a mechanic there were scratches all over her ring it thinned way down and you could clearly see where they cut it it was horrendous we could not believe our eyes my fiancé dream ring which we got in Europe on vacation was absolutely destroyed thanks to this place. Never will I step foot in this joke of an establishment ever again! We were lucky enough to know a family jeweler up in Boston than was able to fix the ring and make it look brand new again. Went today to sell some gold, since prices are high. Granted, it was only 9 karat, but even so, their offer was low, considering they say they charge only 15% commission. I had weighed the items at home on a reliable scale and used an online gold calculator, and I came up several hundred dollars more than they did. I sold some small pieces at a loss, but will save larger pieces for a more reputable dealer. Seller beware. Shop around. read more

Went in this afternoon to get a couple links taken out of my brand new watch. The woman who helped us, Jan, was rude, condescending, and frankly unprofessional. While we were waiting for my watch, my mother looked at some settings because she's wanting to replace hers. This clerk overall was just rude and I was immediately turned off by her attitude, as was my mother. As someone who works in the customer service field, I was disappointed that we weren't treated with the utmost respect as customers. I saw the commercials and went to the store to purchase coins and a ring. I walked in and was told to take a number. There was no one in the store except 6 employees. I went over to the coin area and was told they only have bullion not collector type coins. I walked over to the jewelry counter to look at rings. There was a gemtleman behind the counter who was busy placing boxes in the display cases. I saw 2 rings I wanted to look at. I said to the man I like this one and this one. He kept on going about his business. I was horrified that I could not get any help with my purchase. I walked around the store and not one employee would help me view anything in the store. I know why the store was empt yon a Saturday afternoon. The lack of professionalism was evident. Never shop here the employees need to be trained on how to help customers conduct business. read more

I went there with my daughter to have her bracelet shortened, we were excited to look around and make some purchases too. We waited at the counter to be acknowledged. We were standing in front of the female employee for approximately 5 mins. while she had a conversation with someone, and then she asked another person who approached the counter and stood next to us if they needed assistance. After staring at her from a foot away,finally she asked what we needed. I showed her the bracelet, and she examined it. I told her it was sterling silver with 14 kt gold over it. She measured it on my daughters arm and determined how much to shorten. Then she stated it probably wasn't worth it, that the repair would cost more than the bracelet was worth. I told her to please ask the cost, since we paid about 100.00 for it . She comes back from the back room and states it will cost 25.00, I said fine when will it be ready? she states in one day. We look around but are a bit, but we are so put off by her attitude, we left without purchasing anything more. I get a voice mail the next day from another employee, saying they cant shorten it for less than 100.00 and I should just come pick it up. I arrive back there and it took forever to get assistance, finally the lady who left the message handed it to me and said so sorry have a great day. WOW. I will not be back. I will send it up to CT to my friend who works for a jeweler and have her do it. The two ladies I encountered were so rude and condescending that I will shop anywhere but there. read more

On Dec. 24,2013 I placed an order for 2 Towle Celtic ornaments. My order went through and said they would send an e-mail at a later date. On Dec. 26 at 0840,I received an e-mail confirming my order. I then received a phone call telling me they had sold out of the item. I went back onto their web site and the items were still listed as available. So I reordered the items again. The order went through and I received a confirmation e-mail. I then received an email from Beth saying they were out of stock. Two hours later I received another confirmation e-mail. I am extremely disappointed at how the company has no idea what inventory they have and the web site does not reflect the stock at hand. read more

I stumbled onto a stainless flatware pattern that was on closeout on the website that I LOVE! At $20 a place setting, I purchased everything they had (20 place settings and 3 sets of serving pieces). The flatware itself is fantastic and everything I had hoped, plus the shipping was fast (and free). While I couldn't be more thrilled with the flatware and the price, my rating is only because of the poor customer service I received. It could have easily been a 5-star rating if the sales person (Beth) I spoke with had a better attitude and tried to be slightly more helpful. I spoke to her twice. On my first phone call I was trying to get more info on everything they had in stock in this pattern. She was very rushed the whole phone call and it was abundantly clear she was doing something else the whole time she was speaking with me. She finally stopped when I told her I couldn't hear her. When I asked about if I needed to return it, her only response was "You won't need to worry about it, because you'll love it". When I asked about how it would be shipped and how I could track the shipment, her attitude was very lax and she said it couldn't be tracked. It was only because I really wanted the flatware that I went ahead and purchased it. The next day I called back to verify one last bit of information and to again ask about tracking the package. I was having it shipped to my office and it just made no sense that there wasn't a way to track the shipment. When I called back the next day, she acted like I was bothering her, was very short with me, and abruptly ended the phone call after telling me I would have to call the shipping department for tracking information. All she needed to do was tell me that on our first conversation and made an attempt at a better attitude. I called back and spoke to someone in shipping who could not have been more pleasant or helpful. While I failed to get the woman's name, Beth could certainly take some lessons from her. read more
