My poms puppy had a severe matting behind her ears, I sent a photo to a friend of mine who is groomer in BC whom advised me to take her to the groomer immediately as they have necessary detangling tools and can help with the situation. Her regular groomer didn't have time so had to book with this place for the fist time. They shaved the matt off without consulting me!! Simple google search shows that you should not shave poms hair as there is a chance that the hair won't grow back again. I didn't realize how bad the situation until I got home and took the bandanna they put around her neck off. I've called immediately and asked why this action was taken and I've been told that the matting was so severe so they had no other options (NOT TRUE! There are many other options which are more time consuming). One thing that really hit my nerve was that the person on the call admitted that quoted: "oh I am fully aware that there is chance for the hair to not re-grow"!!! If you're aware, didn't you think this is important enough to consult with the owner first??? Maybe I wanted to get second opinion or show the situation to the vet... Very disappointed!!! The stress that they're causing me now because of the situation can't be explained with words. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ANY COST!

Brenda is super friendly and professional. I brought a English Massive and Golden Retriever. Both were treated perfectly and warmly. My dogs love her! And the last few places I tried they were not happy. Here they love going and are so excited to see her. I couldn't ask for a better groomer. She washes them with great care, using one shampoo on the body and another on their face. Blow dries them well and the hair cuts are on point. I highly recommend coming here for some puppy TLC, they will be super happy and so will you.

I went there to get my Yorkie groomed a few days ago. The front desk area wasn't the cleanest. I…read morementioned I'd like a short Yorkie cut without him looking like a rat. I was informed it would be about an hour to an hour and a half. Brenda said she would call when she was done. After an hour and a half, I called and a co-op student answered the phone. When following up on Ramses she informed me it would be another 45 mins as they were swamped. When I showed up I noticed my dogs cut was extremely short and he was screaming to high heavens. As I was waiting to pay there was a poodle hanging around. Blaming him for agitating my dog, Brenda proceeded to grab a chunk of its neck and yank him towards the back! Since I was already running 45mins late I paid and left quickly. It was $55 plus tax and I added a 15% tip. When I got home I looked Ramses over and was horrifed. It looked like a super quickie job with a trimmer and then again chopped all over with a scissors. The cut is so short in places you can see his bare skin. He can't stop squinting his eyes as all his hair around them has been shaved off. Some parts are longer than others and it looks like he was nipped in a few places too. I dread to think what else he was put through this, no wonder he was screaming when I got there. I would normally give someone a second chance but judging from the other more positive reviews, it seems like they just tried to take as many appointments as they could, knew it was a really bad job and hoped I wouldn't notice. Very very disappointed, angry and sad my little 4lbs pup had to go through go this.

This time her cute face which needed a trim was poorly cut, eyebrows shaved off (she now squints in sun) , face shape comeyely changed and the body areas left so long we need to get her regroomed for summer. I guess hit and miss with this groom salon. It's a shame because we had heard such good things and were waitlisted for a long time. Now we wait for our dog's fur to grow out and start again.

We're usually quite picky when it comes to husky grooming, only because we've read horror stories in online forums and the like! i found doggie delight from a Yelp search and used the request a quote / message the business feature and they were SO quick at responding and answered any questions i had. communication was super straightforward and they were incredibly responsive, especially considering i messaged them close to the end of their operating hours. the day of the groom was also really simple and straightforward! i was given a rough estimate on when our pup would be ready, but the person at the business also told me they'd text me when she's done. i think they did a great job with my pup and she didn't even seem to be too scared to be there either! unfortunately, i forgot to take pics when she was fresh out of the groomers, but they definitely did a great job and didn't do anything i was worried about! we'll be booking here again next year for our husky's annual professional groom! (don't worry, we brush and clean her at home too lol)

Since we moved to another area, we have been going to other groomers, which have been ok. While walking on Queen St. one day, I was surprised to see a Pawllywood in downtown Toronto and realized it was the same one as the one in Markham. We immediately booked an appointment for our small poodle mix, and there was a lot of availability that fit the times we were free. The day of our girl's grooming took two hours, and she had the best care ever. Her cut was so cute, and we loved the grooming report that we received afterwards. Our dog, who is usually anxious at the groomer's, was instantly relaxed. Similar to their location in Pawllywood, we were impressed with the service and the value that Pawllywood offers. We are very happy that Pawllywood now has a location downtown, and will now be our go-to groomer.
