    Description of Gogo Ya

Pro Tip: Revisit and order something untraditional, like they're creations with lobster. Spicy Tuna was decent, mostly rice, and served with ginger and wasabi. $14 for a single roll, $20+ for any bowl. Seems clean and organized.

Gogo ya was the first place I've tried inside of Timeout Market! I was a little lost when trying to find this place on a map app, but after seeing that the address is on Park Drive, it was easy to find it inside the building. I was captivated by their sushi tacos, but was curious if I would get full when comparing the costs between the tacos or the bowl. Taocs are $20 for 2, while the bowls are $22. I decided to go with the bowl since there might be more volume of food and got the Spicy Ahi Bento Bowl. There was definitely more rice in its proportions, and I felt pretty full from it. The ginger added a good amount of spiciness to every bite! Overall, the food was fine - not sure it was worth $22. My order was prepared pretty fast within 5-7 minutes during lunch time. One thing I did as a lazy person was order online, even though I was only a few feet away. Heads up to those who do that, there is an extra online fee when you order online, so order there if you're there in person already!!

Needed a quick bite in the area and Timeout Market was a casual enough place to find a 10 minute meal. This sushi-fusion stand seemed like a light bite and the novel nori-sushi-taco looked very interesting. I decided to go for a pair of these sushi tacos, and see if it's worth the hype. For $20 for a pair of tacos... it was underwhelming. The concept itself is very cool, though. I got the spicy tuna with the fish on top of rice tucked inside a 'nori-shell' which is basically a sheet of nori, tempura-fried in the shape of a taco shell. They added some sort of alfalfa sprout as topping and that was it. Taste-wise the rice is fresh but the fish was supermarket grade. Proportions-wise the taco was on point - really well packed but not so overfilled the integrity fails. With no wasabi, or ginger, or soy sauce provided (either they forgot to give it to me or it's not supposed to go with the sushi-taco) the taste wasn't much different than $7 sushi I could've got from star market across the street. tldr; sushi-taco concept is neato. But for $20, it's not worth the hype. Maybe as a one-time thing

Wanted to love this and I was expecting a bigger hand role but triangular shape. These were tiny. Quality was ok.... Nori sheet were super wet when I started eating it and I didn't feel like I could taste the freshness of the fish that well. Pretty expensive but normal in Time Out market

The spicy ahi tuna taco was amazing. Coming to the Time out Market was such a great idea

Gogo ya is located in Time Out Market Boston. They have a few different sushi tacos and bento bowls, and they have a few deals. They charge 2 sushi tacos for $20, which is a very steep price for what you get. However, the crispy nori taco shells are tdf! They are amazing and make these tacos worth the price. The fillings are full of flavor and the fish was fresh! Service was a tad slow, but overall, the experience was alright.

Way overpriced ($20 for two tacos) and the taste was lackluster at best. I've walked past Gogo Ya numerous times but hadn't gotten around to trying their nori tacos (always thought: how can a taco be worth $20?). Finally bit the bullet today and was so disappointed. The fish was minced to shreds and the seasoning was off for both tacos. Between the two, the salmon had slightly more flavor but overall they were both oily messes. Their service is subpar too, the cashier looked and acted so disinterested in being there.

This is a cool little sushi place inside time out market! Everything on their menu sounded really good and I decided to get the chopped sashimi bowl which is essentially the same thing as a poke bowl. They give you a buzzer and you can go walk around or sit down and come back once it's buzzing to pick up your food. This is the same case for most of the restaurants in the market. It took about 10 mins to get the food so not bad at all and it tasted really fresh! I enjoyed it. It did seem a little expensive for what you're getting but that's. The person taking the orders at the register wasn't very nice so that's the reason for docking a star.

Definitely one of the better food stalls here at Timeout Market! I was quite wary at first since sushi tacos seem to just be a fad and not sure if they would do it well, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was - so definitely would recommend giving it a try if you're on the fence! I got the big eye tuna which was amazing - I loved it. Lots of tuna and good flavor. Nori is also super crispy somehow! I also got the spicy torched hamachi and it wasn't as good as the big eye tuna. The second time I came here, I just got two of the big eye tuna because that one is definitely the most worth it. At $20 for 2 tacos, it IS definitely a pricy meal - but I think of it as a place I'll come to only once in a while when I want to eat specifically sushi nori tacos!

sushi taco is a really interesting concept and seems to be the big purchase driver of gogo ya. i think it is a really innovative concept, as it is one of the only "cool" items you can get at timeout. service was quick and timeout market is a bigger, less crowded version of quincy market if you've never been. i don't know if i would pay $10/taco again (2 tacos is $20), but it is really good if you love sushi. if you can justify the price, enjoy!

Overall solid food. Service was relatively fast, and I would definitely come back! I love their creative spin on a classic sushi roll- sushi tacos! Amazing! We ordered the salmon and hamachi tacos. The salmon one is slightly sweet while the hamachi has a smokier more umami taste. I am quite picky about rice but their sushi rice they used was excellent. Perfectly vinegary and a good amount of stickiness. The taco shell is made out of lightly fried nori which added a wonderful crunchy component to the texture! Overall I think I liked the salmon one slightly better... I couldn't really taste the truffled jalapeño butter in the hamachi one.

The sushi tacos are definitely something I'll order just once. For the price, they are not a good value. They end up falling apart and the rice to fish ratio is off. Otherwise they were delicious, but like I said a one time try. The hand roll I ordered was not what I was expecting. Wasn't really a hand roll but a roll not cut up. It had good flavor but again the value isn't there for your buck. You're better off going to another place in time out market.

One of those spots you just have to try when you go to time out market. Seating is open family style tables which was nice Ordering was quick and easy- no cash just credit card. The tacos were great and super filling. Cool flavor profiles too. For the price, I am not sure if it was worth the two tacos you get. Not a ton of fish in them, mostly rice. It was awesome it didn't fall apart when you were in the middle of eating it.

When a full-on DJ came on around 8pm, I was definitely caught off guard, but it added to the energy. My only issue was the waiting system. Putting your name on a list while people monopolize the bar isn't ideal, but we made the most of it. We were quoted a 30-minute wait and did have to apply a little pressure to finally get seated. While waiting, I grabbed margaritas at the bar, and wow--the bartenders are extremely talented. They freshly squeezed the limes and handcrafted each drink. Very professional, and honestly the best margaritas I've had in the States. The food was rockstar-level, and the menu is very price-friendly. One thing to note: you have to order everything at once, so keep that in mind. Once the food hits the table, you likely won't see your server again until the bill. That said, the ceviche was top-tier, and the Korean beef bowl was splendid. Do not skip the plantains with the cilantro sauce on the side you won't be disappointed! Overall, this is a great date-night spot. Expect a wait, but it's well worth it.
