The bus requested was for 20 guys, they gave us the limo bus that fit 24 passengers. The guys loved it, and it fit us all very comfortably including the photographer and gifts that we were bringing. Made the reservation for the bus early last year, it was a very easy process, and I did make sure to keep in contact with the company. I was always ensured that I was definitely going to be taken care of on the day of the event. Interior of the party bus limo was very pretty. The black seats with the lighting make a good combo for pictures. Sound system was great, you can charge your phone with the cords they provide while you play music and the radio system was very easy to figure out - they have an aux cord to play your own music so make a playlist for the trip! The drive was from my house to the church in Boston, pretty good drive but it was smooth and there was an open bar that we fully stocked at the pick up.They did provide us with cold water placed in between the seats in ice chests and they also provide cups. We did arrive a little earlier than our expected arrival, but we could spend the extra time inside the party bus where everyone could make last minute adjustments and prepare for the big moment. Compared to a few limo service companies that I had been looking at during the time, I feel that Boston Party Bus Limo was worth the penny, not to mention I had the bus for 6 hours. The ease of making the reservation and with them being very punctual, I was impressed. You definitely get what you ask for and I will be using them or referring to them for future events.

My two friends planned this…read moreparty and this party bus hoping that it would be a great easy way to get to our destinations. I was extremely upset and surprised by the way the whole thing played out. We gave our driver and this company the itinerary for the night and nothing went as planned and we were late for half of our destinations. The bus was supposed to pick up a group of our friends in Marblehead at 5pm. He was almost an hour late and told my friend who booked this bus that he didn't realize how long it was going to take to get to Marblehead from the bus company. He was then supposed to drive to Wilmington to pick the rest of the party up. He was so late picking us up that we had to call our first destination and tell that that we were going to be late. We show up at 645 to Puttshack at the Seaport district when our reservation was for 6:15pm. All of our food was sitting on the table becoming cold since we were 30 mins late for our reservation time. We couldn't play golf till 8pm, which meant that our next reservation was going to be late as well. My friend had to go walk over to our next reservation and let them know we were going to be late and to hold our spot. We were supposed to be Cisco brewers down the street also at the seaport district at 8:30pm. We show up at 9pm by the time everyone was done eating and done playing golf at Puttshack. When we got to Cisco they argued with us about not letting us in because we were an hour late for our reservation at Cisco brewers. My friend had to go up to the staff at the front and tell them what happened plus tell them that she was just there speaking to someone about the problem. We were able to get in after some talk. The bus was suppose to leave the seaport district at 10:45pm, but because we late being picked up at all our spots we stayed at Cisco till 11pm. When we got back on to the bus it was little over 11pm. The bus driver had to then bring the first amount of people to Wilmington and then back to Marblehead. When he dropped off the first amount of people in Wilmington, he first went to the wrong house and then he proceeded to fight with my friend who was the one who booked through you. He told her that we were late and he wasn't going to drive the rest of the people to Marblehead and it wasn't his issue to bring them back, when in reality it was. He was told the times and he was told the schedule and he was late for pick up which means we were late for all of our activites. He was disrepectful and ignorant! As one of the people that helped book all the activities, I am truly disappointed in this company and how everything was handled. My friend got a credit card notification that you took another $200.00 our of her account because you felt that we were in the wrong and that the driver had no reason to drive the other people back to Marblehead, when it was his fault from the start. When people ask me what limo/party bus company that they should use, I will tell them that deluxe limo is horrible, customer service skills are horrible and that the drivers need better customer experience and how they speak to their clients. We paid good money to use this company and we were treated with the upmost disrespect! We will not be using this company again and we will tell people to book elsewhere.

I booked a party bus through Boston Party Bus Rentals / Deluxe Limo Boston for 7:00 PM on January…read more2nd for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. The reservation was made a month in advance, and I confirmed it multiple times via email during the week leading up to the event. On the night of the booking, no one showed up at the scheduled pickup time. I called, texted, and emailed the contact information listed on their website, but there was no way to reach anyone at 7:00 PM on a Friday night, which is an essential time for communication for this type of service. At approximately 8:20 PM, nearly an hour and a half after the scheduled pickup time, the driver finally called and informed me that he was still another hour away and that a mistake had been made. There were no weather issues or inclement conditions that evening that would have caused delay. By that point, I had a large group of people waiting at my house. Our dinner reservations were missed, and our original celebration plans for the night were no longer feasible. Friends had traveled far distances and made accommodations for this event, and we were forced to scramble for alternative transportation and entirely different plans at the last minute. What was supposed to be a straightforward, enjoyable birthday celebration turned into a night of stress and frustration due to a complete failure of communication and reliability. The deposit for the booking was refunded, but that does not undo the negative impact the experience had on a milestone event. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company.

We looked into limos, coaches, etc...but as our wedding was at a barn (Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA) - school buses seemed fun & fitting. I e-mailed for a quote (last year), and within a day heard from Jessy. Over the weeks and months, our needs/ideas changed a little bit...and I'd discuss changes with Jessy, and same day - have a new quote. The price was MORE than fair, we were able to add gratuity right to our AmEx (one less thing to worry about), and the service was quick, efficient, 100% on-time...and certainly affordable. FYI: We got 2 buses to go from hotels to venue....then 1 bus left, and the other bus remained and did 2 round-trips back to the venue near the end / after the wedding. Weddings are a lot of work...if you need group transportation... definitely consider Local Motion - it will be one less thing to worry about, because they will take care of things without a problem, without any catches, and without any small print. Thank you Local Motion, and Jessy, for making this part of our wedding so easy to coordinate...and for a fun bus ride as a married couple :)

Once at the rest area, we were told a replacement coach would take six hours to arrive, then another two hours to finish the trip. Do the math and some passengers were looking at arriving home around 5am, nearly seven hours late. I ended up calling my partner to drive an hour and a half each way to come get me, and we didn't get home until 1am. I contacted CoachRun the next day. Their only offer was a refund of my ticket. No acknowledgment of the stranded-on-a-highway part, no compensation for the delay, nothing for the 48 people who were left without a real plan for hours. A refund covers the ticket I didn't get full value from. It doesn't cover being stuck on a highway shoulder at night or making other people rearrange their evening to bail you out. Mechanical breakdowns happen, I get that. What's not okay is having no real contingency plan and treating a multi-hour stranding like a routine refund request. If you're considering CoachRun, just know what "on-time arrival" actually means to them if something goes wrong.

I wanted to take a quick trip to Boston between Christmas and New Year's and didn't want to deal with parking in the middle of the city. I purchased my ticket in person at the NYC office on 12/20 for a trip on the morning of 12/26. The 10AM bus to Boston was $25 (which matched the pricing they showed online). Good thing I purchased early because when I arrived to check it that morning, there was a handwritten note saying that due to the holidays, the fixed price for that day would be $40. I wasn't sure what time I would be heading back to NYC on Friday but after seeing this same day pricing change, I decided to book my return ticket at this point to lock in the cost. It was $30 for the return trip and again, it matched what the website had shown the week before. Lucky Star has a decent waiting area where you can get snacks and use the restroom before your trip. This is light years better than the Megabus "terminal" near the Javits Center on 34th St. which is outdoors and exposed to the elements. The bus arrived about 20 mins before departure time and we started to load about 15 min before. I noticed that there was no one around to help with the loading of the luggage on to the bottom deck of the bus. So if you have a ton of stuff or a physical issue that will cause problems doing this, be prepared. The bus itself was pretty new and clean. The seats were in good condition and not worn. Each row had a plastic bag attached to the handle for your garbage. There was no evidence of garbage from the previous trip so that means it was cleaned before being dispatched for our trip. Some people have mentioned outlets on the bus but their location was not obvious to me. I was not about to stick my hands around and under the seat looking for it, who knows what I'd find! I came prepared with an external battery pack anyway. The bus was about 2/3's full and lucky for me I had an empty seat next to me for the trip so I could spread out a bit. The passengers were a mix of all ages and nationalities but most important to me was that they were all QUIET, no yakking on their phones. Due to the light traffic the day after Xmas, we were soon out of the city and on I-95 headed north. We did hit a few pockets of traffic but the driver expertly got off and on the highway to avoid the most serious of delays. He kept a good consistent pace and was very smooth at the controls. There is a 15 min bathroom and snack break at a Burger King off the highway about 2 hours into the trip. We arrive at Boston South Station in a little over four hours from NYC. On a side note, I can't believe how dirty some people are. My seat was in the middle of the bus and I waited for the majority of people to get off before I started to move. There was garbage and food wrappers all over the place and under the seats. I would hate to be the person to have to clean up after that! For the return trip, be sure to check in at the Lucky Star counter in the terminal before making your way to the bus ramps. The Lucky Star ramp is the last one at the end of the terminal. I made the mistake of assuming the booth they had there at the ramp would be able to check you in but nope. At the check in counter I again noticed a handwritten sign that on demand tickets for that day were $40. Not sure how typical this is, but the lesson here is to book your tickets ahead of time if at all possible. Based on other reviewers here, the refund policy is a mess or non-existent but that's the price you pay for saving a few bucks I guess. The bus for the ride back was again fairly new and clean. The loading process was quick and orderly and soon we were in Friday afternoon traffic out of Boston. We arrived in NYC in a little over 5 hours due to traffic. Again I think the driver did a great job with detours around the biggest jams and keeping the ride smooth. At the 2.5 hour mark, we have the same break at the highway Burger King. Use common sense and take advantage of the facilities if you're going to be arriving in NYC during rush hour! One final note when we arrived back at the NYC terminal. My luggage had somehow rolled/skidded all the way to the far end of the bus in the luggage area. Remember how I said no one was around to help with luggage? Well, this not so young guy had to hunch over with a huge backpack and laptop in one hand to crab walk my way to the other side of the bus while trying to avoid putting my knees down on the dirty loading floor. I managed to do it without banging my head or getting my backpack caught on anything. I'm sure it would've made for a very funny video! Bottom line: I was pleasantly surprised at the trip especially compared to Megabus (which I took last year to Boston) and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Book tickets early to save a few bucks but expect no refunds if your plans change!
