Place is a 10/10 can't really call it out for anything else. I could perhaps say it's parking lot setup is lacking if I had to pick a fault

One of the best Korean restaurants and my favorite in New Orleans. The staff are friendly and quick amd you can enjoy some nice Kpop while you eat. The dishes are delicious and always on point. Easy to miss if you aren't looking on Veterans and plenty of parking in the back. My go to spot most of the time I visit NOLA. read more

Gogi - Korean Ramen - Korean Near Me - Kenner, Louisiana

Korean Food is hard to find in NOLA... So Gogi is a welcomed addition. But, Gogi... I am disappointed. Lunch... doesn't seem to have a separate menu... except for a short handout of lunch "specials"... which were just lunch sized and priced versions of the larger Korean marinated meat entrees... which was good, because we could test out the Bulgogi for $8.99 instead of the dinner entree price of $17.99. And I am glad we did... because it was ok... and i get disappointed with "ok" food. The bulgogi was marinated well... but... I'll tell ya... i am spoiled by the Korean bbq joints with the on-table grills (especially the ones with the charcoal grills). There are few things more delicious than a hot charred slice of bulgogi in your face chased quickly by a spicy chunk of stinky cabbage kimchi or a pickledy banchan of some enigmatic origin! The bulgogi here... gray and floppy... well-marinated... but boring. *I did, however, eat every bite* The japchae... well... it was just ok. Serviceable, survivable, but surely a bit boring as well. The banchan however... hit me again. i should have doubled down here. Delicious and plentiful. well... should I stay or should I Gogi? (sorry, had to) Gogi, I'll come back for a dinner service sometime... but I need your Korean to leave me Koryin'. Bring it! read more

Food was great! Fully flavor but not too much. Portion is good maybe need some more rice with it. Even we have to wait for little long and we start getting upset but the food make the bad mood gone in second. Only one things that i have to take 1star out is the togo order. They forgot rice with the bibimbup only condiment in the bag. So sad read more

Love their Korean fried chicken. They are so good. We tried to order the KFC yesterday, and they ran out. So we went there today to have some KFC, Galbi, and Banh Chanh. We were so sad that they ran put of Galbi today. We were still happy with the KFC and Banh Chanhassen. My husband loves their kimchi stew. read more

I've been going here regularly for the last four years and can't rate it any higher or else I would!! The food is absolutely delicious and they offer pick up or call in dining during covid. They give extra portions of appetizers like kimchi with every meal. My personal faves are the pork soon-dubu and the garlic soy wings! Give them a try, everyone there is really nice too! read more

This place is a must if your in the area. I live over 2 hours away and always stop by when I'm in town. Good food the staff are very nice and friendly. They are very attentive to your need. It hard to find alot bbq or traditional Korean food in Louisiana. I'm from Texas where there are plenty of korean food all over. This place is just as good. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

My favorite Korean spot in town. I'll let the experts do my cooking. Everything about this place rocks. I love Gogi!!!

A little pricey, but definitely worth it! They are also open during COVID and have safety protocols in place to ensure our safety!

Great side dishes. Went right before dinner rush started coming in and were served quickly, around 5:30. read more

Gogi - Yum! Best wings in town - Korean Near Me - Kenner, Louisiana

The food is incredibe!!! Definitely something I would love to eat on a weekly basis. The only reason I don't come back is because the music they have drives me crazy. it's loud Korean pop music. my husband describes it as Britney Spears and the chipmunks making an album and playing it at full speed. look, I'm down with exotic music, but this is anything but. read more

Side dish heaven, K-pop playing on the TV, and soju accompanied with cutesy pie cans of various fruit jelly drinks = my happy place. We feasted on kimbap, seafood pancake, bulgolgi, kalbi, soon dubu, kimchi jjigae, and of course the generous amount of banchan without regrets. Gogi can be associated with good times free of the lingering meat-smell you get at KBBQ (yeah you know exactly what I'm talking about). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Ok, first... this is the stuff! NOLA struggles with good Asian cuisine, but this place is added to our circle of favorites. Excellent service, portions, SPICE... all said, definitely recommend y'all eat here. Short ribs and spicy wings are on a whole other level. read more

Absolutely delicious!! I was very surprised at how good all the food was. Trying to find Korean in NOLA is like trying to find that needle in the haystack. So I was so happy to finally discover a great Korean restaurant with amazing Galbi. YUM!!!! read more

I reluctantly came here with my wife and a week long trip to the west coast. We could quite get the Asian food fix we expected when traveling it west, so before driving back to Baton Rouge, we looked up a Korean spot near the airport. I was tired and ready to get back home but you can't deny a pregnant wife a food craving, so we headed to Gogi. Thank goodness we came! The side dishes (which is my favorite part of Korean) were the bomb! I got short ribs and an appetizer of KFC, both of which were excellent. My wife ordered seafood soup as well which we took to go since the short ribs were large enough to share. The service was so awesome that I'm a little disappointed I didn't catch her name. She helped us with the menu, packed stuff us up for us including all the extra sides we loved! I enjoyed this spot so much that I told my wife we could drive down from Baton Rouge once a month to get a proper Korean fix. Highly highly highly recommend! read more

For New Orleans, this is a great non-AYCE korean restaurant. I was visiting and happened to crave some korean food. All the dishes were savory and well-prepared. Everything from the side dishes to the main dishes were beyond great. I would definitely come back! Plenty of parking in the rear. Service was great. It was not busy when I went there. There is always k-pop playing on the TV while you get to enjoy authentic dishes. The Must List: wings, kimchi soup and spicy pork bulgogi! read more

I love this place! Really great sides! I can go there by myself just for the sides and be happy. Their chicken is really good too. This young guy is always our waiter. Hes really nice. This place has such a cute atmosphere, too. It may look empty, but there's parking in the back. I went there for lunch for the first time and I was quite surprised how busy they were. I've had everything from their ribs to squid and chicken. They're all good but surprisingly the chicken was my least favorite. The other meats just seemed to have more flavor. read more

Only been once but definitely want to go when I feel like sitting to order/try the bibimbap. I got an order of wings, soy garlic. I can't handle a lot of spice so this flavor is always my first pick (usually when I'm at Bonchon up north). Service was quick & they were happy to whip up my to-go order even though I came in 30min before closing. Tables had remnants of what I would consider a great time had by a close group of friends: bibimbap bowls & Korean bbq side dishes (empty, of course). I'll definitely be back. read more

Came in to eat with a huge group on a Sunday night and had a good experience! Our server Charlie was great and attentive to our needs. We ordered the spicy bulgogi, soy garlic wings, & kimchi tofu soup. The banchan (side dishes) were all tasty and flavorful. Lots of soju were also ordered!!! Haha but overall would definitely recommend to someone who haven't tried them before. Service was quick and food came out sizzling & boiling hot! read more

I was craving Korean food this morning and had been recommended this place by a family member. Overall, it wasn't bad! We got the beef sundubu, corn cheese, kimchi pancake, and bimbimbop. The corn cheese was standard, but they do put onions in it, which I thought was interesting, but it wasn't bad--just a warning to any onion haters out there! The kimchi pancakes were pretty good actually. They were nice and crispy on the outside, but still soft on the inside. Sundubu was not bad as well--I think I'd want it to be just a little more savory (it has a very heavy gochujang flavor), but I'd get it again. Another thing to note if you get the sundubu--at other restaurants that serve this, you'll usually get a raw egg on the side to crack into your soup, but they don't do that here. If you want an egg, you need to ask for it, and it costs $1 extra I believe. All in all, this place was good (again, not the best I've had but it's hard to compare to LA's Ktown), BUT it is definitely one of the best I've tried so far in New Orleans. Would definitely come back when I need my Korean food fix. read more

I've been spoiled by ayce korean bbq, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Korean. Gogi however is a quick fix for me and the food isn't bad, it's just not my fave. What I do enjoy from here though are dishes that I'll always reorder. I love the short ribs, spicy pork, and spicy rice cakes. They've recently started lunch specials which include a smaller portion of some meats such as bulgogi, spicy pork, spicy chicken maybe? Not sure since I always get the same things. The side dishes (banchan) are just okay, but my favorites are the potato and kimchi! Meat dishes only come with one side of rice so if you're sharing with someone, you'll have to order an extra bowl of rice. Service is just ok and quick especially since it's one server during lunch. I'll always be back for my favorite dishes since prices are reasonable as well read more

The food here is fun, delicious, and a lot of it is rich & spicy! We don't eat here too often (we live out of town) but when we do we generally order more than we can eat because there are so many things to try. I especially love the small tastes they bring out before your food arrives. If you love trying new food, you'll love this place! read more

My girlfriend and I stopped at Gogi for a late dinner. It was pretty busy at the time. Every table was taken or needed to be cleaned. We got the spicy rice cakes, kimchi soup, and bulgogi. All tasted great. The rice cakes were spicier than usual but we still enjoyed it. Service was okay. Our waiter was there whenever we needed but it just seemed hectic. The two servers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off so it just made me feel rushed. Compared to other Korean places in the area, Gogi offers the most side dishes and refills them for you whenever you're low. Big thumbs up for me because I like eating my meals with side dishes. Would recommend this place if you're craving quick Korean food. read more

This is our first time here. Our GPS took us on Veteran blv. so when we got closer, we thought they were close. You drive thru from the front and park at the back. Every time we drive to Houston, we always hit most of the Korean restaurants over there so we pretty much order our usual favorites and try new items on the menu. We ordered the Hamul Pajeon - Seafood Pancake, Corn Cheese, Gogi Special (my favourite), Soon Dubu - Soft Tofu Soup, Bibimbap - Stone Pot Rice and Yangyum Tongdak - Chicken Wing with garlic soy sauce. Lets start with what I really enjoyed first. The Gogi Special has Ground Tuna, Snow Crab mixed in a spicy blend wrapped and deep fried. I could have ordered two or even three order and not have anything else! We also enjoyed the Soon Dubu - Soft Tofu Soup a spicy soft tofu stew but I felt it could have been more spicy and less on the black pepper! We ordered 2 different soup, one with vegetables and the other one was with seafood. Bibimbap - Stone Pot Rice, rice topped with vegetables and egg in a sizzling stone pot with beef was tasty and I would recommend it. The Corn Cheese, corn mixed with their sauce topped With 3 Cheeses was different but tasty and good. I was mostly disappointed on the Hamul Pajeon - Seafood Pancake, Korean style pancake with shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, baby octopus, scallions and onions. It tasted flavorless. I also really didn't care much for the Yangyum Tongdak - Chicken Wing, Korean style chicken wings covered in garlic soy sauce. The chicken was kind of dry. Our waiter was very nice and staffs were over all friendly. I'm not sure if I would come back just because usually I like to take trips to Houston for my Korean foods craving. I do recommend trying the place for yourself. I'm just a little picky when it comes to my Korean food. I do want to add that it waa a great touch with having kids chopsticks for the little one(or adults) to use. read more

For my first time visit to NOLA, I was craving Korean food. When looking up places to go I was surprised to find out that there were barely any korean restaurants. I got lucky and found this gem. Previously located at the old sushipop, I was so excited when I walked in and smelled the deliciousness through the whole restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection and everything tasted like it was fresh and homemade. I want to take this restaurant back with me to LA. We had the: 1. japchae - glass noodles 2. Hamul Pajeon - korean pancake 3. Gogi nacho 4. Bulgogi - YUMMMMMMMM 5. Gogi chicken katsu 6. Yangyum Dak - korean style wings So so happy with the service, quality of the meats and all the food, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Staff was also unbelievably nice and the owner stopped by to check on us. Great job!! I will be back and I highly recommend read more

To preface this review: This was really my first time eating real Korean food. It turns out I am not a huge fan of it. However, I'm not reviewing the restaurant based on that, as that isn't very fair. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was fine once a couple of screaming children left, and the quality of the food seemed good. I liked the little plates of things given to diners before the meal. I've forgotten what they were called, but they were all beautiful and interesting. We got the spicy rice cakes for an appetizer. They weren't the kind of rice cakes I expected, but they were super spicy and had a nice mix of crunchy veggies with them. Our entrees were the spicy chicken (not quite as spicy, but had good flavor) and bibimbap with chicken. That one didn't come out until 10 or 15 minutes after the other entree. It seemed like they forgot to put the order in. The waitress was super nice and apologetic, but it was still kind of annoying. It also arrived with both chicken and beef in it. I don't know if that was an error, or if they threw some in there as an apology, or if it was supposed to be in there in the first place. It comes in a very hot stone bowl, which continues to cook the food while it is at the table. This was pretty cool, aside from the rice kind of burning and sticking to the bowl. Overall, it's probably pretty great if you're into Korean food! Even if this ends up being my only venture into that cuisine, it was a fairly good one. Definitely worth a try. read more

We ordered the Bulgogi Marinated Beef Ribeye and the Thuk Poki and everything was delicious! Plentiful of banchan too. I also had leftover Thuk Poki so for dinner I threw it together with Neoguri spicy seafood udon instant noodles and it was sooooooo good. If you want to change the flavor even more, put a little bit of lime juice into your ramen and Thuk Poki. 10/10 would try again. read more

Gogi - Korean Near Me - Kenner, Louisiana

Their serving time is super super quick while the food is still good. Their dishes also serve more meat compared to other Korean places I have been to. The only things I don't like about this place is their small parking space and their small side dishes. I am a big fan of Korean bibimbap, but I don't really like the bibimbap at Gogi(maybe it's just me:)) read more

A beautiful little modern restaurant, the setting is clean and attractive. I got my fill of K-pop on the tv while I dined. The bipbimbop was fresh, hot and was overall okay, just not flavorful enough for me to rave about (even with the complimentary hot sauce). My friend got the short ribs, a large and savory tasty dish I wish I would've ordered! Wait staff was friendly and informative. The side dishes were a standard, nothing really stood out. But all in all I think it's definitely worth a try! read more

Worst customer service. I think the owner is not very much aware of how customer service works. I have observed them cancelling customers and then accepting the next. Even if you call to confirm they will cancel you when they feel like it. What's the point of calling and getting confirmation then? I've always observed how the owner doesn't care much about the customers on multiple occasions. read more
