Kirin came by to do the work, and you can tell he really enjoys his craft - he was meticulous and took his time to get everything just right. They redid the counter flashing, cleaned and sealed both chimneys, replaced spalling bricks, applied Crown Coat, installed new stainless steel rain caps, and replaced a window flashing. They also repaired window trim bricks to coordinate with my window replacement, and gave me a very good price for that extra work. Everything was done on schedule, and the work looks fantastic. It's not easy to find good contractors. I'd definitely call them again and recommend them to anyone who needs chimney or masonry work.

We figured it was time to get it looked at, so we called Taylor at Cascade Chimney and Masonry. Had no trouble making an appointment and he came and looked at the chimney and fireplace and said, basically, "yep, everything's good. You don't need it cleaned." He was apparently (I wasn't there, this is hearsay) very nice and when asked how much we owed him for the service stop he said we didn't owe him anything. So, my recommendation is that you call this guy and have him service your chimney and you will know that if he's doing the work, you really need it. We did give him a bottle of soda that we'd been keeping for a special occasion, so maybe have a bottle of soda handy if your chimney turns out to be just fine.

We had refinished our basement in 2008, then, unfortunately had water in the basement that did…read moredamage. I shopped around and got different opinions and widely different estimates. Excavators NW used a simple inexpensive fix and since then my basement has been dry. We had been quoted by others nearly 10 times what Excavators NW charged. Excavators NW had a much better understanding of the drainage and reasons for the flooding. Their repair included partial sewer drain replacement, French drain, and a sump pump, all of which were a lot less costly and made more sense for our 90-year-old Ballard home than what other companies proposed. I found out Excavators NW do a lot of work to keep houses dry since most of their business is lifting houses and putting in new basements. I knew nothing about the process but was curious and the owner was very accommodating in explaining how he keeps his customers basements forever dry. Super knowledgeable and super nice guy too. Highly recommended.

He was always willing to jump on the phone to answer any questions, which I appreciated a lot. My house was built prior to 1989 so I received a nice PSE rebate for the work. On the day of, Jo's crew were quick and efficient and provided Before and After photos. They removed my old vapor barrier and insulation and replaced with new one, added new dryer vent duct and flapper, and added new roof vents for all my bathroom fans, and much more. I was able to ask them questions during and provided water and snacks to them for their hard work. The crew respected my home and cleaned up after themselves before leaving.
