My new patio is beautiful. I want to thank Rustic Toscana for the promptness of viewing and discussing my project, and sending the cost estimate within 3 or 4 days. The project was removing blue stones, which had been placed on too large of gravel and without sand, so they settled unevenly in depth across the patio. In addition the stones did not make a straight lines around the patio edges. It entailed, Desantiel removing the four different sizes of blue stones, then the too large size of gravel base. Next, he leveled the area, and brought in sand and the right size of crush. He was amazing moving hundred of pounds of base from the patio in buckets, then bringing in the sand and crush. As I live in a townhome, his only good approach to my patio is up 22 stairs and through the interior. Finally, he designed the new patio. Using math and his creative eye, he placed different sizes of blue stone, perfectly level in a beautiful pattern. In addition, he placed them so there is now a straight line from stone to stone around the patio's four edges. Desantiel has the professional knowledge of how stones work together in a hardscape and the ability to move the heavy weight around. As well, he has a keen eye for aesthetics that please. Desantiel did a beautiful job patching this unneeded opening near ground level in our chimney (unneeded since fireplace now gas). He is a true artisan. He even chiseled away at the new brick some to help it look older and blend in. Check out the before and after photo. Among the things I like... He runs the show and is the craftsman both.
