I researched smaller independent companies in the Fort Lauderdale area. I hoped to receive more personalized service and created a short list. I made phone calls and inquired about computer replacement and configuration. When I called BBM Tech Computer Solutions the call was immediately answered by Brandon Mannie. I explained what I desired. He asked questions about the functions used on the computer. He listened and told me he would send me an eMail explaining hardware options in addition to options and suggestions. Immediately I made my decision to work with Brandon and BBM. We talked. I made a hardware decision. A acceptable bill of charges was presented to me. I agreed and the desktop replacement was initiated. I happily paid the deposit requested and Brandon acquired the new desktop computer. Off site he then preformed the necessary software loading and configurations. At the agreed upon date and time, Brandon arrived with the new hardware. He seriously worked moving the files from the old desktop to the new. He made sure the applications, profiles, related data and other necessary items were on the new computer and working properly. This computer exchange also included moving from Windows10 to Windows11. Brandon described some of the differences and was patience with the questions I had about this new operating system. I am most impressed by the professionalism and skills I experienced by BBM. I was encouraged to call them if I ever have questions. They are willing to do post installation support. Like I mentioned above, after more decades in the IT business, I am most impressed by BBM . If you have a computer issue or need to upgrade your system, contact this company and you will not be disappointed. I admit that I seldom recommend things from books to restaurants to motion pictures to anything, BUT I wholeheartedly will recommend BBM Tech Computer Solutions. The guy (his name is Julian) ended up recommending me a thermalright phantom spirit evo 120mm which is basically a big 3 fan block that attaches to your cpu that goes for around $60-$90 along with a charge of $175 for the 1tb ssd which is very fair. I'm about to give 4 reasons on why you shouldn't come to this place for computer fixes or upgrades and why you should really find someone off of facebook marketplace to do it for you instead. This place makes a profit by overcharging high labor costs. They know how computers work and how to fix things, but yet, they will still be unfair and overcharge you because the average customer doesn't know how things work and just wants their stuff fixed. 1. Julian charged me $150 "labor" for a simple ssd install ontop of the $175 I was already paying for the ssd, charged me $200 for "parts and labor" when the thermalright cooler is maybe $100 max brand new if you got it somewhere overpriced, and to make matters worse, I got hit with a $40 "tax". My total bill was $565.71, when in reality, it should've been around $350-$380 total... 2. Julian installed the thermalright cooler the wrong way, one of the 3 fans was supposed to be in-front of the ram sticks area on the motherboard, not on the opposite side. 3. I was getting my cpu changed from intel to amd by a guy on marketplace and I had to text Julian mid install, ask him for the amd bracket that came with the thermalright cooler, and waste 20 minutes to go pick it up from his shop because he didn't give it back to me when I went to pick up my pc. Hell, he didn't even give me the other parts that came with the cooler until I asked. He had to nerve to say "I usually give them back just in case" but he didn't this time. When you pay for a brand new component that goes into your computer, the person installing it should give all of the accessories and the box back along WITH your computer. 4. When I booted up my pc, it literally dual booted both windows 10 and windows 11. Because of this, I had to fix it myself. Unfortunately, I ended up losing all of the data on my 5tb hdd because of Julians mistake. Years of documents, videos, and photos gone. Had Julian installed only 1 version of windows onto my ssd the right way, I wouldn't have lost all of my data. Overall, terrible service. If you ever want your stuff fixed, please don't waste your time coming here and go onto Facebook Marketplace instead. You'll find people who are more honest about what you might need help with and how to fix it. They won't charge you $100 for labor like 'My Florida PC' will.

Left the phone there for 4 hours and when we returned the rep said that when he was doing the data extraction the phone "restarted itself and restored itself to factory settings" and all data was wiped out and lost. He had put a temp replacement screen to show us it was glitching and not staying on for more than 1 minute. He gave us a brochure to ship out the phone to a company they are affiliated with in California which supposedly specially in tough cases. The company quoted $700 to $3,900 range for the service. We went to another place around the corner on Shenandoah Plaza and they said all the phone needed was a new screen. We paid $40 for a new screen and the phone worked as new. Sadly all the data and years of pictures are lost. The rep couldn't even own up to messing up and made it seem like it was a bigger issue that a simple screen replacement. He was also condescending and rude. If we hadn't gone to another place we would've ended up having to buy a new phone. Do not trust this place with your phone unless it is a basic simplistic repair. Even better, don't risk getting incorrect diagnosis and loose your memories or have to buy a new phone. Go less than a mile away to Shenandoah Plaza.
