Alex and Igor helped us move our furniture and belongings to a 2 bedroom apartment. They were very professional and careful with moving our things to not damage the walls or floors. They moved a large refrigerator, 2 king size beds, sectional sofa and other heavy furniture. When faced with a difficult doorway or hall or stairs, they were able to fit things in thru tight passageways. We would definitely use them again for any of our moving needs. I've never used a moving service until now and honestly don't think I'll ever try to move stuff on my own again after having the luxury of using Goat Movers. They were attentive, fast, and easy going. What I loved most is that they had everything they needed on hand and had the common sense to wrap our mattress with protective wrap without us needing to tell them (someone I know using moving company and they got the mattress dirty because it wasn't wrapped!). They also wrapped all of our furniture including tables, sofas, chairs, etc to ensure that nothing got chipped and dirty. They did misplace some screws on our table during the move but we knew we'd find them while unpacking everything. Reviewing on the same day as my move because these movers are that great! Alex, Dan and Igor worked around the clock to get our move from OC to LA, only stopping at the end for a meal. I have no complaints about the movers themselves as they have a good pace and a great ethic. The office however has room for improvement. I emailed asking if our movers could arrive at 7am as we had a deadline from our building to free up the freight elevator for another mover. Our movers arrived 3 hours later because the office failed to communicate with them. The office has three numbers and all three had full mailboxes so I couldn't leave any voicemails when they were late. I sent messages through Yelp and email and they didn't respond to them on my day of move though they were responsive when I was trying to book. I was only able to get into contact with the office after trying to call the 5th time at 2pm. I was able to get a small partial refund but it was small in interest of not screwing the movers over. read more

Ours was a tale of two moves -- the loaders were horrible and the unloaders were amazing. First the loaders arrived late, they did not have enough blanket pads to wrap our furniture, and they provided zero wardrobe boxes. Thankfully we packed our hanging clothes in bags; otherwise our clothes probably would have been thrown loose into the back of the moving truck. We have expensive artwork that we wanted wrapped and placed inside the large wardrobe boxes. Since there were no wardrobe boxes, the movers carried out our artwork several at a time, banging and damaging the frames as they went from our apartment to the elevator to the truck. Almost all of the frames were damaged. All of our lampshades (which also should have been placed into wardrobe boxes) were damaged. Several pieces of furniture were also gouged and damaged. You could tell that the loaders had very little experience and they argued amongst each other. No one seemed to know in what order things needed to be loaded. Our 1,100 sq. ft. apartment took three guys 10+ hours to load. The unloaders, on the other hand, were amazing. Those two guys made short work of unloading and putting back together our furniture (with the exception of a few pieces because somehow some of our hardware didn't make it to the moving truck). We used GOAT because of a recommendation from our daughter and son-in-law. While we assume we just got stuck with the least experienced loaders, it would be hard for us to recommend this company. read more

Pros. William is very responsive. Price is fairly good. There are no "hidden charges, as promised. Of course, they also do what they are supposed to do, which is to efficiently move your stuff from point A to point B with minimal hassle. In short, this is a legit company. Cons. As another Yelper wrote, at the end of the move, you are pressured to give a 5-star Yelp review before everyone leaves. I really, really don't like that. They should trust their work enough to let people decide when and if they're going to provide a review. I took off one star just for that. I was also pressured into giving a larger tip. Look, I understand these guys work hard and do a good job, but I paid $1,600 for a half day's work. That's a lot of money to me. That should be enough to pay the workers adequately for their work. Lastly, I was supposed to get a receipt mailed to me. It was never sent. The last two things earned another 1-star deduction. read more

These guys came through during these crazy pandemic times and their prices are tough to beat. My wife and I got a few quotes from other movers in the LA area and their rate for 2 guys during the week was the best deal we found. They were upfront about everything from the beginning and confirmed our appointment with us before the move day. They gave us a 2 hour window and showed up in that window even though they were having some trouble with resourcing. They showed up and made it happen. We were moving from a 1 bedroom apartment that was up a flight of stairs to a house nearby. They came prepared with plenty of dollies and packing equipment. All of our furniture was well protected with shrink wrap and blankets. I thought it was even excessive how protected everything was because I usually grab it and go, so they took better care of our stuff than I do. They kept good track of the time from start to finish and took about 3.5 hours to move everything and place it where we wanted it in the new place. Moved from Pasadena to Irvine, moved a 1 bedroom apartment, which was already packed and ready to go, took 7 hours total time (includes a 1-hour drive) Pros: quick to respond, polite Cons: 1- damaged 3 pieces of furniture while moving, those pieces were not wrapped. Basic simple goal is to get things from point A to point B without any damage, (job cost me 900$, not cheap) and that goal was not achieved. 2- Despite damaged furniture, mover was upset at tip and asked for higher tip and a good review on Yelp or Google 3- Kind of slow, did not expect job to take 6 hours when everything was packed up in boxes and ready to go, But movers stated there was a long walking distance inside my apartment complex. 4- not an important detail, but those pictures posted on Yelp aren't a true depiction because the movers don't wear blue uniforms read more

***WARNING*** DO NOT USE GOAT MOVERS!!! ***ZERO stars**** Goat movers is the most unprofessional and offensive company I have ever dealt with!!! NEVER use them!! I was charged over $1000 for a ONE bedroom apartment, 2 mile move. All my items were packed and waiting by the door. The movers intentionally worked slowly, even disappeared for periods of 45 minutes or longer for no apparent reason. Sometimes the movers would go downstairs with 1 small item, or even nothing! Trash was left all over my apartment by the movers The contract I was forced to sign at the end of the move (10:30pm) was written in Russian. I don't speak Russian so I could not read it. However the movers were in my apartment and would not leave until it was signed. After the move, once again 10:30pm, the movers pressured me to write a "good review" on Yelp so they could get a free meal from their boss. Despite the long them multiple times that I don't like to write reviews (especially when you are extremely disappointed with the service) I received continued pressure to write a review. IRONICALLY, as multiple attempts to come to a fair resolution with this company have failed (they don't return calls etc..) I am not writing a review. DO NOT USE GOAT MOVERS!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****A REPLY TO MIKE*** who I also spoke to on the phone and was very argumentative with me: 1) There were no narrow hallways, assembly/disassembly of furniture, tight staircases etc...or the other things you cited. 2) there were no items over 300lbs 3) all boxes were packed and organized and waiting by the front of the apartment. The bed was fully disassembled. All drawers were already empty and packed up. 4) if my situation was an "exception" in that your movers took abnormally long to do a standard move, then I would have expected you to resolve this matter with me professionally. 5) since you are aware of the specific details of my move and have communicated directly with the movers, why did my move take so long??? Why was my move an "exception" when the movers assessed my stuff, they made no mention of any "exceptional" circumstances?? 6) the only reason your other reviews are good is because your movers intimidate people into writing a good review. They don't leave your home without asking for a review multiple times, even when you politely decline. Mike was responsive and accommodating of our ever shifting moving schedule. He also suggested splitting our move over two days as any time over 8 hours would be billed as over time. He sent a team on day one to pack our 4 bedroom townhouse which took about 5-6 hours, and on day two a second team came to load, move, and unpack our stuff. This alone took 8 hours, so the decision to split the move over two days was very appreciated. His crew worked diligently and fast, and were more cautious with heavy items vs other movers I have hired. The primary person (group leader figure), Tim, was also very good in understanding and delegating tasks to his colleagues. Would recommend, and hire again. read more

You ever walk past a pizza place that calls itself "Best in Town" it's risky to self proclaim such things. BUT THESE GUYS. They are REALLY THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME movers!! We used them for a HUGE project move ourselves and my bfs mom out of his childhood home ( 3bedrooms) in Santa Monica to two separate apartments in San Francisco. These guys are such champs they worked tirelessly without complaint a grueling day. We could not be more grateful to them. Not entirely sure how this company has a 5-star rating. Bear with me through this detailed review... We were moving long distance and received many quotes, but went with GOAT due to seemingly having the best price as well as mostly good reviews. They also explicitly mentioned only single moves aka one customer per truck... boy do I wish that was the case. We scheduled loading Friday morning and then we would meet them at the destination the following morning to unload. On Thursday, they called and said they wouldn't be able to load our things until late afternoon due to "truck issues" when we were supposed to have done our walk through with our landlord and be on our 400 mile journey. We were a bit upset at the last minute change, but thought it is what it is. Then we get a call back that they figured it out and can in fact come in the morning. Great. They come around the morning time and get to work. We had given them the sq foot and rooms with pictures of our things, but the movers seemed annoyed that "everything was going" .... Isn't this what we're paying you for? We understand we have a lot of things, hence hiring a company. We moved 7 months prior with one less mover and moved out of a 6th story apt in about 2 hours. We thought the included 3 hours would be plenty of time... wrong. By the end of the 3rd hour with only a few large items left, the movers slowed way down... we would periodically check the truck to see what the hold up was to see that there was still plenty of space to put the last few items in. We noted that they were tightly packing/Tetris-ing our things to the ceiling of the truck, which was confusing since there was still so much room. It took them another two hours (total of 5) aka an extra $300 to put the last piece of our couch in... with at least 6-8 feet left in the truck. In order to complete the first half payment, we complained to Mike on the phone about the extra time when the movers weren't doing much. Our concerns were written off. We drive up that afternoon sitting in LA traffic when we thought we'd be out much sooner. About 7-8pm rolls around, and we get a call from Mike that our things won't be arriving until the afternoon. When questioned, it's because THEY HAVE ANOTHER CLIENT'S BELONGINGS IN OUR TRUCK THAY THEY ARE DROPPING OFF FIRST. Um what? Now it all makes sense... the timing... the Tetris-ing... the annoyance... but now that they had our money and our things, they finally admit this. We were extremely upset and pointed out they said they don't do multiple deliveries... mike tried to cover his ass by saying "we were upfront about the issues" when all that was ever mentioned was "truck issues." Awesome. We show up to our destination at noon, and they were supposed to be there at 1pm. Yet another call from Mike that they will be late... 2-3 pm... we give them 15-30 minutes leeway before we make another call... they finally show up at 5pm. We sat in our home on the floor for 5 hours while we contemplated whether or not our things will be showing up. We had to pay before our things were unloaded, which was uncomfortable since we didn't know if anything was missing or broken. They had to call Mike two times to get the correct balance remaining, which we then complained again. We got a whopping $100 off. The two movers didn't finish until about 8-830pm without reassembling furniture, unwrapping, or removing trash. A few small items were misplaced, a piece of furniture was packed upside down which ruined the shelves in it, and there were marks on the freshly painted white walls in our new place. I gave an extra star since the unloaders were nice. Please, take your business elsewhere. read more
