I went into Goa on Wednesday, the 17th for a cartilage piercing. I'm very picky on the places I go to get tattoos and piercings, so when I saw the reviews for this specific tattoo/piercing shop I thought it was going to be good... I walked in with my friend asking for a cartilage piercing, at the very beginning I had a weird feeling but I just thought it was nervous. They showed me their jewelry and gave me a price, $55 for the specific hoop I wanted. (Pretty sure the price varies depending on where you want it and what jewelry you want which I don't have an issue with). After I picked out the jewelry I filmed out a form in the computer and the gentleman who was helping me (unfortunately I did not get his name) went to go sterilize his tools. I walked into the back room and saw all of the supplies ready to begin the piercing. He marked my ear with 5 different marks and made me choose which one I wanted. After that he pierced my ear. Let's just say the piercing process was TERRIBLE. When I get a piercing or a tattoo I get so nervous that I feel like throwing up. Keep that in mind. He pierced my ear and began to put the jewelry in. It took him about a minute or two to try and close the hoop and it was HURTING. I felt my ear bleeding A LOT, it was very very warm, it felt he was tugging at the piercing since he was trying to close the hoop. I have a fairly high pain tolerance... but then the hoop LITERALLY BROKE IN MY EAR. When he told me the jewelry broke is when I started panicking. My friend was like you got this like relax everything is going to be fine. The piercer had to go and grab another hoop (not even the one I originally wanted) and had to put the needle through my ear again and put that jewelry in. This whole time while he was putting the jewelry in I didn't even know if he sterilized the jewelry he put on me. The hoop was finally in my ear and the pierced asked me if I was okay; I told him no I'm going to throw up and he said okay lay down, and I said no I need to throw up, he said lay down again and I laid down I felt better. My friend was telling me I was bleeding A LOT. I usually don't bleed a lot. AND the actually piercing wasn't on the little curve of my ear which I wanted it there. When he put the dots on my ear originally it was on the curvature of my ear. So when I got home I took a picture of my ear and it looks like behind my ear right next to the piercing is a little scratch. Maybe the scratch came from when the jewelry broke? I'm not exactly sure. It was definitely not a good experience for me, personally. I want to be positive and say maybe it wasn't a good day for the piercer? Maybe I was the first one getting pierced that day? Customer service overall was okay. I didn't feel comfortable but I thought it was my nerves getting to me. So far, luckily my piercing is healing well from what I can tell. I won't be coming back to this shop. read more

I went in for one piercing and came out with two he did a great job was very professional. The cleanliness is above and beyond at the shop and hey sterilize everything before use. All of the jewelry is locked away in glass cases where no one can touch it. If your having a more private area pierced they have a room in the back where they perform those. I stopped in to have a piercer look at my irritated nose piercing. I was ready to just take it out and let it close up. He immediately figured out that I was allergic to the white gold metal I had in my nose, which I thought was hypoallergenic. They have titanium jewelry, which is nickel free, and told me a lot of people are allergic to nickel that can be in white gold as well. I had no idea! I have had over 10 piercings in my life, and never had any issues until this place. This was the worst piercing I have ever received. Artist used an earring that was too small for my ear. It did not comply with industry standards for a cartilage piercing earring size. As a result of the small earring size, the earring was enveloped by my ear. The back and front of the earring closed around by my ear. I had to go to the emergency room at two in the morning because my ear was gushing blood. A surgeon had to remove the earring with a scalpel during a painful procedure. DO NOT go to this place. It cost me over $2,000 in medical bills. read more
