I picked a design I had had my eyes on for at least 4 years, and looked forward to getting a hammer and anvil to mark 3 years of perseverance and willpower. Chris ruined the experience for me and turned it from a celebration of my own achievement to a showcase of his ineptitude and idiocy. From the moment I set foot in the shop, he gave me crap about the design: the placement of the anvil and pincers, the overall design, etc. Despite the fact that I provided my own reference material and gave clear instructions about what I wanted done, he half-assed the job and finished the tattoo in half an hour with the skill of Napoleon Dynamite. I felt revolted by his work as soon as I got back to my place and from the first moment I looked at it in the mirror, knew I wanted it removed. Now, as a seasoned tattoo collector with more than 20 on my skin, I am having to pay 3 thousand dollars and endure blistering lasers once a month because of this imbecile man's belief that he is anything other than someone with a skill (HA) who lends his abilities to others to make their vision come true. If you want to have your positive tattoo experience shat on and to endure tattoo removal for years afterwards, I highly recommend booking with Chris at Oxygen Ink.

This circus shop def has a clown and it's Roger My friends and I were on a trip to Miami and decided to get a trip tattoo to seal the end of our awesome trip. I checked out the shop, and artists and booked all 3 of us with Danny because I checked his work. When we got there though Danny had just stepped out and then Roger the snake he is kept saying, "oh him and I work together all the time, it will be faster if I do your tattoo also and Danny does your other friend." Myself and my friend got our tattoos done (simple design and one color) with Roger and then my other friend with Danny. You'll see the difference in the pics. Roger didnt even clean the stencil off because I'm sure he knew we would have seen his crappy work. The fact he used a stencil and these were simple tattoos and he still managed to mess it up says alot. Roger is a big fat RED flag. I went back after a couple hours as I started to see the issues on the tattoos. He supposedly tried to fix it but it was still crap. And then I wanted my money back and he said that only the owner can give a refund even though Roger was the one who took our CASH.He said I would have to talk to the owner, Emerson. Yet the owner wasnt there, conveniently. Well that night we flew back home. But I messaged Emerson on here, never got a reply. And then on Instagram, if that even was the owner, and we went back and forth and ofcourse he said let it heal and then get back with me. Which I did. Same thing he said to my friend when she messaged him. Roger is an artist for sure a Tattoo CON Artist. DON'T BOOK WITH HIM AND DEF DON'T BELIEVE HIM! The only job he should have at a tattoo place is as a front desk receptionist or outside twirling around a sign for people to get tattoos with way better artists. They should have just done the right thing.

unsatisfied and felt lied to…read more I booked this appointment 3 months in advance with a clearance on size, reference, and placement with Rafael and his assistant. Upon arrival Rafael drew something up to his liking of my reference but it was completely different than what I was expecting. In minor shock I was silent. I have two full stomach tattoos, 3 portraits, a half leg sleeve, and a back neck tattoo all done by differing artist and none have ever changed what i wanted so drastically. Rafael felt my vibe being off and then offered me to work with him on what we could do. Not dead set on the tattoo I originally showed him 3 months in advance I asked if he did portraits as I would like one more. He pointed to one that I already had and blatantly asked "why don't you just go back to that artist?". Once again I was taken aback by the comment. After discussing not doing another tattoo we set back on track for the original reference and idea I provided. He drew something much closer to what I wanted but I asked for more detail. He assured me there would be more detail in the actual tattoo than in the drawing. He also assured me that the sizing wasn't an issue and would connect to my other tattoos. After he was 'finished' neither promises were kept. The tattoo looks unfinished in detailing especially in comparison to what I asked for and in the look of my tattoo style. The tattoo also does not fade into my other tattoo shading. This is so disappointing as he had an apprentice with him who was listening to Rafael call himself extremely talented and gifted and naturally amazing at tattooing. This also left me so unsatisfied I decided to pay and leave as he did not want to (or could not) do what I asked for. I will now have to spend more money with a different artist to finish what he started.
