They keep the gate open, no one is there, and you end up paying over $100/month to get your stuff stolen and damaged. You then spend hours dealing with police and insurance companies trying to get something back for what you lost, but I mine as well have put my stuff out on the front lawn than pay them. Everything of value was stolen. It had to be someone who was also renting here, since I was targeted, and they seemed to know exactly how easy it was to simply walk right up to the unit from the back. There is NO fence protecting the entire back row. Anyone can walk right up from the parking lot at the VFW. All they had to do was remove a couple bolts from the thin metal siding and walk right in. The attached photo is what the back of my unit looks like. The entire back row is completely vulnerable. What is especially shocking is that the district manager, Scott, told me yesterday that there is NO security camera footage -- because the cameras are not functioning. Unbelievable. The site manager, Jennifer, is completely useless. I left her over 10 messages even before the robbery, and she never returned a single call. I've left her many additional messages and sent many emails since the theft, and she has never had the courtesy to return a single call or email. Everything that was stolen was collected from donations and distribution sites for folks affected by Hurricane Helene, so it's particularly heartbreaking because I'll never be able to replace all the new tents, heaters, sleeping bags, flashlights, headlamps, camping supplies, solar lights and so much more. And these people could not care less. Please, please. Get the word out to anyone who might be renting at this place. It is unsafe. Again: there is no security system -- the cameras are not operational; there is no fence to protect the entire two outer rows -- anyone can walk up from the VFW parking lot and easily break into these units; the fencing that does exist is torn down and no one cares enough to repair it. As I've tried to spread the word about the dangerous conditions at Storage Sense, 15 Fallen Spruce, I am sure word has also gotten out about how easy it is to break into these units. So, if you know anyone who is renting at this place, please tell them that they need to urgently move their belongings out to another storage facility.
