INTENTIONAL SNEAKY AND GRIMY COMPANY They lure you in with a very low introductory rate, then hit you with a massive increase that feels completely unreasonable. My rent jumped from $28 per month to $63 per month (125% increase) more than doubling with little warning. What makes it worse is how disrespectfully they handle the notification. Their customer service is excellent when you call quick responses via text, phone, and email. Yet when it comes to raising your rent, they deliberately send only a plain piece of paper in the mail. No company logo, tiny regular font, and it looks exactly like junk mail that most people would toss without opening. This sneaky tactic is grimy and intentional. If you're considering renting here, be ready for the rate to spike significantly after the promo period. I won't be renewing. read more

BEWARE! THIEFS!!!! I started using this storage facility in April 2024 after moving here to Hendersonville. Of course they had a move in special to make it all look attractive. My rent began at $94/mo plus tax for an outdoor parking spot on gravel with no overhead cover. This was for a boat. Approximately four months later they raise my rent to $125/mo plus tax stating it is due to rising operational costs. Since I have been there I see no upgrades to the facility anywhere. No new paint, no new pavement, nothing. Now a year later they have raised my rent again to $188/mo plus tax. Within a year they have doubled my rent and I have received nothing more than I received when I moved in. They state "As part of our commitment to providing quality service and maintaining our facilities, we periodically review our rates. We find it necessary to adjust the rental rates for certain units including the one you currently occupy." It is a gravel parking spot!!!!!!! Nothing has changed. I find their business practices to be very unkind and unprofessional. I also had an email conversation with someone at Go Store It and they really couldn't care less about my displeasure of the rent increase. Also stated "we value your continued tenancy and trust that you find value in our services." What a joke! The only thing they value here is that money coming in every month. Beginning to end a great experience with this location. Great move in special. Not locked in forever just month to month and the best price around. Was only planning to have my cargo trailer stored for a couple months but decided to store it there for 6 months. Melissa was also super helpful and very accommodating. Not what it once was. When I moved in, the property gate required a code to get in day or night. Soon after I moved in, the gate was left wide open day and night - since this property is NOT a 'manned' location, this is particularly concerning. I asked about the gate and was told it was left open due to construction, however, there is no construction going on and the gate has been left wide open night and day for approximately a month now. Besides that, shouldn't the security of the tenants be far and above the convenience of a construction company - perhaps give them a security code as well? I've seen all sorts of characters on the property the past many weeks, several of which clearly have no business there (skateboarders). If premises security is a priority for you, perhaps shop around. read more

I am NOT at all happy with Go Store It and DO NOT RECOMEND them. My issues are both with this facility and the Go Store It company itself. I'll make it quick for you to help you move on to another storage facility, but keep reading for all the details. Go Store It (GSI from here on) is a shady company to do business with. Here is why: They REQUIRE PROOF OF HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE or they will charge you $11 a month for their house policy (despite you having to sign a liability release which releases them from any liability if you stuff gets stolen or damaged. So why do I need insurance? It's just a way to get $11 a month extra. Another problem is that they raise rates at their pleasure. I moved in and 3-months later I received a letter stating it was time for a rate increase. I can see after a year, but 3-months??? Will I get another letter in a few more months??? They know once you go through the hassle of moving things in you don't want to shop around and move everything again so soon. Finally, try contacting anyone from corporate. If you do get hold of someone, they often refer you back to your locations office. Of these things, the rate increase ($10 a month for me) should be all you need to hear. But keep reading if you want more reasons to look elsewhere. This location is not ideal. First, its on a dead end street in a commercial/industrial area. So at night, its all by its lonesome (for thieves). Video cameras? Yes, but no people around to see anyone wearing masks so the camera won't help much down the road. A woman there at night should not be too concerned, but screaming won't help you if there is an issue. There is a key coded gate, but there is not a fence circling the entire facility so anyone can just walk in. The location is precarious to navigate because its on a very steep hill. To drive between buildings requires you to drive slow or scrape your undercarriage on the up-down slopes. MANY storage sheds are on a slop and you have to step up/down to get in/out. You can't use a dolly for many of the units. This was once owned by another company and I liked them. They were 24-hours as well. GSI is NOT 24-hours. I think the gate locks you out at 10pm. Also, they want to charge you more if you want to store vehicles or anything they consider hazardous. And for months, GSI removed the lot/office attendant (to save money). Where the attendant is there or not, many times the gate breaks down and is left open for days at a time. But it's not all bad. They did paint the place and add more lighting. I don't care about the paint, but the lights do help some. I rarely ever talk to anyone there, but when I have, they were nice. Overall, I give a 1-stare because of the shady business practices, but 0-stars if I could. If those were all missing, I'd give the facility itself a 2 or 3-star rating. read more
