The wife and I stopped in a few weeks ago to check on a storage unit. We talked to Carlos, who was…read moreextremely helpful. He explained the whole process to us thoroughly, they pro-rate in and out and a lock is included with your unit. He really sold us on this place. The prices here are on par, to a little bit lower than the other places in Hendersonville, but the security is what really got our attention. No open gates, tons of cameras, out of the way location so no easy access. I went in today to rent our unit and talked with a different gentleman, Jules I believe, who was just as helpful. Paperwork was a breeze.

This is one of those places that I added to my "to review" list way back in the day and then I lost…read morethat list and forgot about it. But Devon served us quite well back in 2011 and I think they deserve a little review. My boyfriend and I inherited furniture left over from a dear friends estate sale for free, mostly because the family didn't know what to do with what was left over. We decided Devon seemed the most legit place to store and was located close enough for us. We stored the furniture and some other items here until we moved out of the folks spare bedroom. The staff were all super friendly and very informative. After we signed the papers, we were whisked at break neck speed on their golf cart around the facility in the pouring rain to our storage locker. We had no trouble getting in or out through the months that we stored, or canceling our contract when we did move in to our own place later that year. I would definitely recommend Devon for psychotic golf cart rides and for good storage.

Do not store your belongings here if you plan to be away or rely on stable pricing. When I signed…read moreup, the rate seemed reasonable. Two months later, while I was literally across the globe, my monthly cost was increased by over 100% with no notification. I had previously requested to lower my insurance coverage to reduce the rate, and I even signed the form to do so, but that adjustment was never applied. When I finally noticed the massive charge and contacted them, I was told I would have to either cancel insurance entirely or continue paying the inflated price. The issue isn't the dollar amount. It's the principle of raising rates significantly without notifying customers and making it difficult to adjust coverage that was already agreed to. It feels predatory, especially for anyone who is out of town or in a situation where checking every monthly statement isn't immediate. To be clear, the staff I spoke with were professional when I finally got someone on the phone. But the pricing practices here are the problem. If you store your belongings here longer than a couple of months, expect your rate to spike and to have to chase down explanations. I would strongly caution anyone considering long-term storage at this location. The business model appears to rely on increasing rates once you're already locked in.

INTENTIONAL SNEAKY AND GRIMY COMPANY…read more They lure you in with a very low introductory rate, then hit you with a massive increase that feels completely unreasonable. My rent jumped from $28 per month to $63 per month (125% increase) more than doubling with little warning. What makes it worse is how disrespectfully they handle the notification. Their customer service is excellent when you call quick responses via text, phone, and email. Yet when it comes to raising your rent, they deliberately send only a plain piece of paper in the mail. No company logo, tiny regular font, and it looks exactly like junk mail that most people would toss without opening. This sneaky tactic is grimy and intentional. If you're considering renting here, be ready for the rate to spike significantly after the promo period. I won't be renewing.
