I am a big outdoor enthusiast and live next door to this Bass Pro Shop in Mesa. Most of my outdoor activities include camping, running, skiing and kayaking. Bass Pro Shops have been around for many years and recently acquired Cabela's. This Bass Pro Shop is called Outdoor World and has an aquarium, shooting gallery and animal displays. It adds to the fun of walking around these stores and gives you that feel that you are outside. The prices aren't anything special. But I like that you can find a lot of outdoor apparel and gear all in one stop. Bass Pro Shops supports conservation efforts throughout the U.S. The Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant that was here closed a few years ago.

It was extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone who had been patiently waiting their turn. What made the situation even worse was that no one from the store seemed to address it or manage the situation, even though the area was busy. Basic courtesy and respect for other customers should be expected in a public place, and unfortunately that wasn't the case here. While the store itself may be popular, experiences like this leave a really negative impression. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with how the situation played out. I hope that some day, this issue gets addressed and resolved. Needless to say, I won't be coming back & would highly recommend staying away from this location.

A few months ago, my home was struck by a stray bullet from a random shooting that happened in front of my house. Since then, a couple of other situations have made me feel unsafe in my own home. That experience led me to consider purchasing a firearm for home protection. I had visited other gun shops before and even spent time at the range, intending to buy a gun -- but every time it came down to making the purchase, I felt unsure and honestly a little scared. The truth was, I simply didn't have enough knowledge or confidence to feel comfortable having a firearm in my house. That's exactly why I signed up for this class -- and it was absolutely the right decision. Matt and Dan were incredibly friendly, approachable, and fun to be around. They created an environment that felt welcoming and judgment-free, which was especially important for someone like me who had some anxiety going in. The classroom portion was extremely informative and covered so many foundational things I didn't fully understand before -- safety, handling, mindset, and practical knowledge that truly builds confidence. We ended the class by going to the range and practicing with a handgun, applying the skills we had just learned. Matt and Dan were with us the entire time -- closely supervising, ensuring safety, and offering hands-on guidance. I never felt alone or unsure. They were attentive and genuinely invested in making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. While I still plan to visit the range a few more times to continue building confidence, I now feel significantly more prepared and educated than I did before taking this course. If you've ever felt hesitant, intimidated, or unsure about owning a firearm -- especially for home protection -- I would highly recommend this class. We had a very good personalized 1 on 1 experience with Dylan and Tanner who were very knowledgeable and helpful with helping my son choose the right glove. They have a great selection of bats and gloves amongst other baseball and softball equipment here. The store is just big enough without being overwhelming. I can't thank Tanner and Dylan enough for the wonderful experience. They also have glove break in service which is normally $60 but $30 if you buy the glove from them. Since we are out of state they said they could keep the glove and complete the service which is 5-7 days and then ship to us. 10/10 recommend!!!
