Best Sopes in town!!!…read more During my two year program at PSU, Chopollos is the place that kept my belly fully and my brain active. Each week on the day of my classes, I would walk over and order 2 sopes like clockwork. It was always a delight when the kind and friendly man in the truck remembered my order--he had it down to the color of the sauce I preferred! There is also a friendly woman often working, both of them are very approachable and I am so thankful for the delicious food they provided me. If not for my anxiety, I would have loved to learn their names and thank them personally! Their sopes are MASSIVE--I would eat one sope at lunch and save the other for dinner, basically getting two meals for the price of one. They use fresh ingredients with yummy avocado and mexican cheese on top. Pricing is also pretty good given how expensive those ingredients are right now!! Try those sopes! They're the bomb.com

They run a $10 special where you get 6 pre selected skewers (chicken, beef, lamb, potato, prawn, beef ball) I am no expert in Chinese BBQ Skewers but, these were a bit different than other ones I've tried. Many of the skewers are "xingjiang" style and have heavy cumin seasoning (plus can be made super spicy). This had a light seasoning to it and what felt like some sauce more than dry seasoning. It was lightly spicy (mild) and it was different. It's still good, just different than the typical Chinese BBQ Skewers. They are open LATE which is amazing. They also have other food options for those not feeling like skewers. Haven't tried any of them but they are an option. 6 skewers is enough for a light meal.

The vegetables had good flavor and texture, and the whole thing came together really nicely. Honestly this was a really good veggie burrito, one of the better ones I've found at a food cart. Salbutes (4/5): Very fresh and good. The toppings were crisp and the tortilla held up well. A solid choice if you want something lighter than a burrito. Quesadillas (4/5): Good, and the kids loved them. They were simple but made with quality ingredients, and the cheese was nicely melted. Great for a quick bite or for picky eaters. However, it was made up for not just by the pickled cabbage, but especially by the tortillas: these are the best handmade tortillas I've had in at least a year. I personally prefer the salbutes because they're softer and more foldable, but the crunchiness of a panucho is like if the ideal tortilla chip expanded into a whole taco-sized tortilla.
