I admit I'm surprised I'm giving Brampton Transit 4 stars, but the folks over in Brampton (The…read moreFlower City as it calls itself) seems like they know what they are doing. A lot of people commute using Brampton Transit and GO and while I've never tried this (since I live so close to a GO station) I've seen people use their GO tickets to get a free ride on the bus (now bet you GO commuters would LOVE for that to be implemented at the TTC too eh?!). That's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. While the bus fleet is not as large as the TTC's they do a good job every time I've used it to stick to the schedules listed on the stops and the drivers, at least the few I've had to interact with in terms of asking questions are very friendly. Many a time do I see a bus have to hold off on a station because they are ahead of schedule! The individual ticket cost is roughly the same as the TTC but get this, you pay once and you get a transfer which enables you for unlimited travel in a 2 hour period! That's just amazing if you just want to take the bus to go buy groceries or something like that. In terms of comfort level it's the same type of buses as the TTC buses that have the 2 steps right after the exit door? Nothing super comfortable but it does it's job. They also have implemented a new bus system called "Züm" which I've never used, but the buses look hella cool and they advertise real time scheduling updates at stops as well the magical power to influence traffic lights to keep them running on schedule! Add all this to a pretty decent coverage area and you got yourself a pretty reliable, convenient and happy transit system!

The driver was rude / unprofessional / impatient - choose based on your experience, and it made the ride uncomfortable. Public transit is supposed to be a safe and respectful space for everyone, and this kind of attitude really discourages passengers.i dont why you hired this suck a street guy for your job he even dosent no how to speak in english .. the driver is of 8:30 am 15A zum buss 28 july 2025 such a F**ng guy disgusting I hope Brampton Transit looks into this and ensures better training or supervision for their drivers. We deserve respectful and courteous service, especially when relying on public transportation.

There's a lot of parking spots available and you need to arrive very early (8am or earlier) in order to get a good spot. There's a second parking lot too that some people might not know about as it requires a further drive on Steeles and then a double back to the south side of the station. A very big negative for the station is the lack of a central board that indicates what buses leave from which of the bus stops and form which of the 4 platforms the train would arrive/depart (but since there's only one line, you're pretty safe just joining the crowd that's already on the platform). The bus stops have their own signs indicating their destinations, but this requires one to walk all the way to the stops to figure stuff out. And there is a small electronic board well above eyesight level under the big green "GO" sign indicating the train platform, but it's hard to see and does not help once you're actually in the station. Other than that, there's a small commuters cafe in the terminal that serves coffee and snacks (never used it though). You can get downtown either taking the bus/train all the way down to Union or taking the bus on the 401 to Yorkdale/York Mills. Keep in mind though, as the 401 bus frequently uses a stop outside the actual Bramalea GO station (stops at the south east corner of Bramalea and Steeles instead) Overall it's a good hub for travel to go downtown as service starts around 5am and goes on till 11 or 12 at night, with the last bus from downtown leaving Union at 1:30am to get here. As with most stations, AVOID rush hour! If you can spare it, take the 9:20 train down and aim to return on the 6:50 train back up. Both a far more pleasant ride than all the other times!

So why am I reviewing a bus route... because I can AND because this one deserves praise. There's only been a few occasions in the last 7 months that I've NEEDED to take the bus but each time I've walked to Kipling this bus is like a good neighbour, a good friend, nay like Statefarm insurance - it's there! Even in weekends with reduced service it seems like 10 minutes is the longest I've ever had to wait. For those looking to access the lesser known beaches of south etobicoke from the city center a quick ride across the bloor line to the Kipling station and jumping on this bus will have you at the Humber campus where they begin, in no time. I also feel a lot safer knowing that my fiancée, a regular TTC rider, never needs to wait for her bus when she leaves early in the morning for work. I've clocked it and the express buss actually gets me to Kipling station faster than when I drive. All other bus routes take note. Oh and also.... no crazies in this route phew!

It has been on time each time I've ridden (admittedly not very often, but still). The buses on this route don't bunch up, and the drivers are always pleasant. #29 Dufferin Bus, take note. The story of the 45 vs. the 29 is like the story of the two brothers in a large family: one is the golden boy while the other is the crazy fool, up to no good. Well done 45! Get yo shit together 29. I know this is a review of the 45, but I don't let go of any opportunity to berate the 29.#firstworldproblems
