They may run out of beer mugs, so arrive early!

Wow, where to begin. This restaurant is such an anomaly among ski resort restaurants and bars. Most ski resort on-site restaurants are on par with airport offerings; insanely inflated prices, bad service, bad product. For an example of this, you can simply walk up the stairs from Go Big to the options on the second floor of the Mountain House Lodge. Up there you'll find a bar that charges mid-teens and up for beers, and has a menu offering that would make a bowling alley look gourmet. There's also the food court, hawking Bud Light's for $14+. Anyway, enough insulting the other offerings in the building and at ski resorts in general. Go Big has a fantastic happy hour, and pretty reasonable beer prices, cocktail prices (if wells and calls), and wine prices. They also have some good shot prices if you and your bros are looking to do some apres ski raging. A 24oz Bud Light, for example, $8.77, which is pretty crazy at a ski resort; $3.50 during happy hour for I believe a 16oz, yes, THREE FIFTY. Food-wise, I found the mushroom and swiss to be really good, as were the steak fries. You're not getting a deluxe 1/2lb angus burger like you'd find at a fancy place, so expect it to come out medium, but it was reasonably priced and pretty tasty none the less. The wait staff / bartenders were awesome every day I went (three straight). Everyone in the place seemed to be having a great time, so I highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the food here after being out on the slopes! The price is as expected being at a ski resort. The Pork Planker Burger was good and filling...Loved the pulled pork+ bacon on top. The Mixed Berry salad was fresh, sweet, and yummy. The service was great with the food coming out fast. So great that they offer the gluten free bun as well. Definitely recommend if you are out on the slopes and want a good solid place for lunch!

Super well well done

Delicious burgers and fries and we had the coolest server. Sat on the patio outside for a great view of the slopes!

The male hostess was friendly. We ordered and was seated immediately after. The setting was nice…read more There's huge panoramic windows that view out into the courtyard or ice skating ring area in the winter. We ordered from the waitress, whom was nice, but she never came back to check on us after she served us our food. The food was horrible. I ordered the pancakes and bacon. The bacon was hard, stale, and dry as if it had been reheated several times. My pancakes were crunchy and tasted like sour milk. The mixed fruit cup was the best part of the breakfast. It's located downstairs in such a great hotel, so we really expected better or at least decent!

Date of visit: February 14, 2025…read more While staying at the resort on a snowy Valentine's Day, my friend wanted to venture out but I wasn't all that hungry or interested in battling the weather and opted for a night inside instead, but maybe he was right. We did not have a reservation and Brian the host was both accommodating and extremely frazzled. It seemed like the restaurant was a bit understaffed but I couldn't tell from all of the staff roaming around the restaurant and bar area. Our server was Michael from KCMO who was nice enough when we actually saw him, he did not make many appearances during our time at Bighorn, sadly. They had a piano player who was fine enough, but I actually preferred it when he wasn't playing as it just made it easier to talk . Had there been an option, I would have preferred something further from the piano, but given the lack of reservation I was not going to protest! Not being super hungry I went with a soup and salad. The soup sounded wonderful: Sweet Potato Bisque. It was not wonderful. It didn't really taste like sweet potatoes and once the crispy coconut topping was gone, so was the magic. However the Caesar salad was quite good; had I known this I would have just gone with a dinner version of this and called it a night!
