My kids and I are still pretty new to this hobby and didn't know quite what to expect and had a zillion questions. The staff here are super nice, enthusiastic about helping noobs like us, and very patient with questions and help. To be honest, I was expecting kind of a macho and stand-offish crowd, but everyone from the staff to the players have been super cool, nice and accommodating. After 7+ years of playing at GoAirheads I can honestly say they went from a small field to the most amazing field in Colorado. Recently went to another field in Parker and was extremely disappointed. Not only has Josh improved the field. His staff has become extremely knowledgeable. If you're looking for a fun experience that will be safe and exciting then this is the place for you! Place is amazing! All the staff were helpful and stayed on top of the games! I took a hit on the dump pouch (didn't feel it) and they pulled me aside to tell me I was hit. GoAirheads - The field - Airsoft Near Me - Erie, Colorado

I have never been airsofting before but Go Airheads provided an awesome experience. It's $20 entry and $20 for gear, so pretty affordable, especially if you bring your own gear. Games happen consistently so there is not a lot of waiting around. Safety is clearly the number one concern here, when not playing a bag that goes over the barrel must be on at all times; while playing full auto is only prohibited outside and mid to long range. I felt very taken care of here. Plenty of parking, freedom to take off your shirt (which I did ), and reasonably priced food as well. Place is filthy, vending machines do not work! Field is so muddy I get my shoes caked in mud! Shop and rentals are EXPENSIVE $$$! GO Find a cheaper place to fight. If you do not have a gun you will end up paying $35. Keep in mind this is just gun rental and admission. You still have to buy bbs, and gear if you don't have it. The rental guns are HEAVY, they use up ammo fast, so the trick here is that they give you an ammo guzzling gun that uses up ammo very fast so that you wIll have to BUY ammo more often. Field Open ONLY on weekends? Nonsense. Some People want to do airsoft other days of the week. If you are willing to empty your wallet on airsoft, try it out. if you are not I recommend find another airsoft place. Barriers on the field are pretty cheesy except for the shipping containers & the log cabin, which I have to admit is pretty cool! read more

While Go Airheads does have a very unique field that's cool as a concept, it's definitely one massive safety hazard. Complete with a broken-down helicopter, old RVs, rooms filled with rusty nails, and a massive herd of live goats for younger kids who think they're being cool to shoot at. The last time I went, a baby goat was taken inside since a 13 year old thought he'd be tough for purposefully shooting it's legs from a few feet away. Needless to say he was banned permanently from the field. Most weekends Go Airheads is overcrowded with hundreds of players, and only 2-3 referees. The field is usually filled with very slick mud, broken pieces of wood, and in some places broken glass from the old vehicles that employees never bothered to clean up. I've witnessed a more than minor injury each time I've gone to Go Airheads. Whether it's someone cutting their hands open on rusted sheet metal, or the entertaining situation of a rusty nail going completely through a player's foot, it's happened at Go Airheads. When it comes to field layout, it really only leaves room for trench-warfare stalemates, though the helicopter in the center is very cool. The field charges a fair-priced $10 admission, but that's about their only fair price. AEG's at the field run for roughly $100 more than their standard retail price, along with any accessories. Last I saw they were selling a $10 NC-Star Reflex Sight for $55, yikes. As for the staff inside of their store, (which is made out of an industrial storage container), only one of them seemed to know anything about airsofting. Most of the employees can't even tell the difference between a stick-type and butterfly-type battery. Despite their lack of airsoft knowledge, the staff and owners are very nice people, even though they let goats roam around on an airsofting field where they will no doubt be shot up on accident or on purpose by a number of children. No public bathrooms aside from one in a nearby house, strangely enough the food they serve is all homemade stews, which are quite good. Most players that go hear are cocky, arrogant 13-16 year olds, most of which don't play by the rules and are very competitive, as a side note. One major note, aside from eye-protection, safety is NOT a concern to the management at Go Airheads. Like I previously stated, lots of old, rusty and sharp bits and pieces are lying all over the field. Broken glass covers the ground in lots of areas, and barbwire fences outline the back of the field. Rifles here are NOT chronoed by any means. I've seen many players shooting as hot as 480 in close quarters situations on full-auto, the limit on the field being 400. Overall fair service, horribly maintained field filled with unfortunate goats and rude players. I do not recommend Go Airheads under any circumstances. read more

Cool place. Reasonably priced. I would be concerned with safety. First rule is to remove the magazine from the gun when you come off the field. At any given time I saw several people with mags loaded and no one said a word. There is a practice area to shoot but people were just shooting over the fence next to the sitting area. No face shields on and people sitting right next to them with no protection between. If you go I suggest putting glasses on if you remove your face shield. Someone will get dinged in the face at some point. There quite a few people who were arrogant out there versus what I have experienced at Paintball just down the road. Small changes would go a long way for them. Safety would be the first one to address though. read more

Drove an hour north to be told I broke a rule because a member of my team didn't call a hit he didn't feel. He apologized, and all seemed well until a manager pulled my team aside and gave us a "strike", meaning we had broken a rule. You would think he'd be understanding and more respectful considering my team and one ref saved his field from a brush fire that got out of hand fast. I'm a very honest player and I know for a fact I didn't break any of the fields rules, but still got a slap on the wrist because they got a complaint from a child about the one member, who made an honest mistake. I cant express how little I care about the strike, the issue was that when I asked the manager which rule I broke, he could not provide a straight answer. He reiterated that the one member of my team (accidentally) hadn't called a hit, which should have no negative effect on the rest of the team. Another even bigger issue is the part where management framed my team for cheating. One member made an honest mistake that he sincerely apologized for and now everyone is accused of cheating? We hold ourselves accountable and would never purposely break any rules. This wrongful accusation made my team look bad, and that's what the team is most pissed off about. A manager ended up letting a few of our members off the hook after a conversation about the incident, which did not include the rest of us for some reason. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. We all paid for a service and had a horrible time because of the lack of communication between referees and the team being wrongfully accused of cheating. Most importantly, we don't want our team to have a bad image because of assumptions and illegitimate accusations made by the GoAirheads management. We don't want any more of the problems the GoAirheads staff has in store for us, so we'll go spend money at Fox, where they treat you like a customer. You're welcome for putting out the fire that someone else's EG67 Grenade started by the way. The fire got to be about 2.5m in diameter and was spreading incredibly fast. It was next to the barn and lots of plywood cover, so it would have burned down at least the field with the helicopter and even the area with the orange X painted on the green plywood, because the brush stretches around the entire area covered in plywood and flammable material. Mastiff, my team, saved your field because we know how losing Kiowa felt to us, not because we felt like we had to help GoAirheads. WE PUT THAT FIRE OUT FOR THE PLAYERS, NOT FOR THE OWNERS OR EMPLOYEES. Nobody but Walker and all of Mastiff came over to help, with the exception of one or two other kids. All this, and they still pull all that BS mentioned previously. Walker was the only staff member we felt like wasn't stepping all over us all day, so thanks to him for trying to salvage the wreckage created by management. If you guys want to do at least one thing right, give that dude a raise. read more

My sons LOVED going to Go Airheads! They said the refs were really nice, and fair. They thought the owner was nice too. They felt like they were not picked on by the older kids. I have to say the couple reviews on this place have been total garbage. Getting a place up and running like this is never smooth. I am a business owner my self and I have to say they are doing a great job here. They have created a great outlet for all ages to come out and play some Airsoft with like minded people. They have created a community here that doesn't have to many options for places to go. I went this last weekend for the second time and I would say there was about 60 people throughout the day playing which was a great turn out making for some fun scenarios and gameplay. The people that work there are very fare and do what they can to keep everyone safe and following the rules. They have a lot on their hands when it comes to a bunch of teenagers coming in pushing buttons and I think they do a great job keeping them in line and yet giving them the freedom to have fun. I would say they are very fairly priced and they have a pretty good selection of rental gear and guns and accessories for sale and reasonably priced. I hope they keep adding onto the store and working to make the place better. I think they will go a long way. I encourage you to come give the place a try and help build the community there. I already have a few people getting involved so that we can build some good teams that want to play more seriously. It only takes a few bad people to ruin a good thing and the same goes for a few good to make something great. I hope to see more get involved in the sport. Not worth it. I spent $230 for about 30 minutes of game time. Granted i was about 30 minutes late to the start and it did rain for 45 minutes. But they took so long just to hand us our rental guns and kits. And like 10 minutes just trying to explain simple rules a 12 year old can understand. Only got to play 1 game since my first game was ruined by a dead battery, and when I went to get it replaced they gave me another dead battery. Some of the refs were very snarky and rude. And while I do have thicker skin it was pretty annoying. Due to a lot of players seeming to be friends with a few refs they weren't calling their hits and just stayed alive the whole game. When asking for a refund for such a poor experience and only being able to play 1 game for the 5 hours and $230 I spent just to sit, I was met with a snarky attitude and just one free entrance ticket which is only $20. He also told me "you should have been here a little earlier" in closing, it wasn't worth the money or time I spent here. Don't waste yours. read more

Hey all, I'll make this quick, GoAirheads is one of the few airsoft fields in northern Colorado, and probably the largest in the Midwest (excluding milsim exclusive AOs) their store is a good size and one of the few places that you can actually go to get a look at airsoft equipment before you buy. I.e.: Guns, various forms of eye protection, tactical gear, accessories such as scopes, and much more, prices are extremely competitive and the owner will match almost any price online. As far as the field itself, it's a large piece of land broken up by a fence down the center creating two fields, each with a different play style. The first field, or the barn field, is a fairly large well laid out area, with several buildings an actual helicopter and a cool yellow school bus. The second field, or the container side, is made up of 8-10 shipping containers, with custom cut doors and windows. Both fields offer a variety of play, allowing fun for all. As for the staff, the owners, Dave and josh; are very knowledgable and kind (and keep their rep high on the field). The refs, I would say do a great job, most are sixteen or seventeen, and tend to care a lot more about their jobs and what is going on around them then most kids their age, in comparison I think these kids care more about my "airsoft experience" then most McDonald's employees care about if they got my hamburger right.
