He helped us coordinate with the insurance company, and got to work almost immediately. I was shocked by how efficient he was at coordinating the different subcontractors who installed the floors, cabinets, counters, tile backsplash, painters, etc. It was like a well oiled machine with almost no days where work wasn't being conducted, including Saturdays. My wife and I went into the process of looking for contractors expecting we could be without a kitchen for months. Turned out, with Palatin, the whole renovation only took about 4 weeks! If anyone has been through a major renovation, and had to get temporary housing, you know there is nothing more valuable than limiting the time away from home... except the quality of the work. Luckily, Palatin did not disappoint in quality either. We LOVE our new kitchen. The cabinets are great quality and look amazing. The counters are beautiful. The backsplash is pure art, and the floors and moulding are exactly what we wanted.

You read that right. A contractor who is consistently present and involved. The level of caring for the projects this team handles is unmatched. Through the project, they recommend things, never push things. A rarely in this field. We have used New Leaf Remodeling a total of three times. Once for a master bathroom remodel that came out incredible. Second for a quick (and easy!) kitchen counter remodel. The third time is when we had a water leak that flooded one room. We called New Leaf and he was there the very next day. (Same day was not needed because of the restoration demolition). He let us know he has his team on standby for when we got the all clear that all the water was dry in the frame. And guess what, the day after we got the all clear from restoration people, New Leaf was there to go over the room rebuild and to get started. We are already trying to think of when we can use them again.

Motti and his various crews and subs were always on time and on budget and did excellent work. This wasn't cheap, but it wasn't your typical "sorry, all this other stuff is extra" either, that happens with so many contractors. (Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind. My remodel was reasonable and fast. I definitely recommend Preferred and I already have.

This was the third company we had come out and provide a quote, and from that very first encounter it was apparent that Shay knew his business quite well and gave us a detailed breakdown of the costs, the order of the demolition and reconstruction subcontractors, and where in the process each payment would be due. Though the original estimates of how long the project would take (~6 weeks), turned out to be grossly short compared to what actually transpired (~5 months), it was no fault of Romano. Our bathroom fixtures and vanity were all on back order due to the increase in demand and decrease in supply and production during COVID in the winter/holiday season. While not every single thing was perfect at first, any criticisms or suggestions we made during the process were immediately rectified and they were very clear that our happiness with the end product was their primary concern. Additionally, every subcontractor that came to the house (demo, plumbing, tiling, painting, etc.) was incredibly friendly and respectful. We absolutely plan on hiring Romano for our next remodel, and I have already recommended them to other friends and family.
