Bob Otten is the BEST. He helped us convert our old tired vacation home from outdated to new and…read morefabulous. He helped us from start to finish guiding us to the right decisions and helping us stay on budget. His craftsmanship is top notch and he works with the highest of integrity and ethics which was especially appreciated since we live hours away and could only come see the property every so often during the job. Here are some "after" pictures -- we love it all and cannot recommend Bob more highly. You would be lucky to get him!

I…read morewanted to replace the original single pane wooden windows with essentially exact replicas and to reuse the original stained trim. It turned out that this was a VERY challenging ask... Bob helped find a dealer who could make and factory finish the windows to the required dimensions and then work with me on fitting most of the old trim to the new windows. It was a painstaking task, especially as the old stools needed to be replaced and Bob had to come up with a clever method for securely attaching the new stools to the windows such that they blended with the existing trim. He also had to create new trim for one window and try to match it to the others. They all came out great, and I realized that I never could have gotten the same result if I had tried to work with a "traditional" window installer - it required more time, patience, and attention to detail than they would have offered. Bob also paid attention to details that don't show, like insulating the area around the windows - another thing I would not have gotten from a traditional window installer. I am thrilled with my 27 new windows! In addition to the windows, Bob also replaced my roof (including fixing many issues that the last roofer just covered up) and identified issues with my chimney, which he also fixed. My house is now in much better shape that it was a year ago. I highly recommend Bob for all of your home projects - he cares about the quality of his work and will work with you to get the results that you are looking for.

After seeing the television advertising for 10 Day Kitchen Solutions, we scheduled an appointment…read moreand visited the showroom. I'll start by saying the showroom is beautiful and the products appear to be high quality. Our kitchen is very small, approximately 4x8, so we were surprised when the estimate came in at $50,000. What made that especially difficult to justify was that the price did not include appliances, or our quartz countertops that we wanted. This was primarily for demolition, installation, and cabinetry. One advantage they promote is speed. Traditional kitchen remodels can take months between design appointments, ordering cabinets, and contractor scheduling, so I understand paying more for convenience and a faster timeline. However, for comparison purposes, we ultimately completed our kitchen elsewhere. We selected upgraded features including pull-out shelves, pantry storage, lazy susan corner cabinet, garbage cabinet, and quartz countertops, and our final cost was $15,500 in total ($13,000 for the cabinetry + $2,500 for tbe quartz countertop). That means our quote from 10 Day Kitchen Solutions was more than three times higher, while still not including countertops or the appliances. This review is not about quality, we thought the showroom and products looked excellent. It simply came down to affordability and value. For homeowners with larger budgets who prioritize speed, this may be a good fit. For us as seniors, paying cash, and not financing, the pricing put it out of reach.

I stopped by the show room to check it out this past October…read more After about 30 minutes, someone approached to see if I was in need of help. Mind you, there were at least 4 other people in the showroom when I arrived: no acknowledgement of my presence. After discussion and Q&A, I set up an appointment for the person to come to my house and see the space, answer more questions, take some measurements; that was 11/12 2025. It has been 6 months, with no follow up. At all. from anyone, in any form.

We paid $5k for a system that involves no digging, no running miles of piping, or no soldering; one day worth of work. Two years later we are now having issues with it. When I tell other professionals what we've paid for it, their eyes bog out. Ed has an extremely short temper - the way he talks to customers is mind boggling, although he's very sweet when you're writing that check, so I've been primarily approaching his son Bronson. Ed would bluntly and in an extremely rude tone deny there could be anything wrong with the system. Eventually Bronson came out and spent a good amount of time trying to fix it (which I really appreciate), confirming what I was telling Ed was all accurate. I now have yet another issue with the same system but was told that I should really look for a different plumber because they're apparently moving into excavation business. Overall, a really nasty business to have to deal with, the extra star is for Branson but since this is Ed's business, he deserves no stars. Their last name seem to have a really bad of a reputation around town too, wish I new that earlier.

Asked a few local folks in the area and was told that Thompson Plumbing did NOT have a good reputation. Not supporting their work, price gouging, etc.. We got a competing bid from another plumber and decided to use them. Made a courtesy call to Thompson Plumbing (Ed) to let him know that we were going with someone else. I thanked him for his help and before I can finish my sentence, he hangs up. Being that the mountain top can have poor cell service in spots, I thought maybe we got disconnected. Tried calling back several times but no answer. He then sends me a text saying "I got it, stop calling me". Well, I guess the local folks were right !!
