Please dispose of them, not only is it unappealing, it's also a health issue, in my opinion. You have such a great product, it's a shame that the overall presentation is overshadowed by these plates. Thank you!

Excellent brunch meal on a Sunday afternoon!…read more This is an active farm with home grown veggies and chickens for eggs and more (maybe)? Because chick. Is certainly a star of the menu! It was for our meal - complete with chicken legs and chicken livers and chicken nuggets asking with some good sides including deviled eggs with homemade bacon bits. We also had Mac n cheese, broccoli casserole, tomato and cucumber salad and green beans. They have great hours including brunch until 3pm on Sundays - and they seat until 3pm, which we were grateful for, as we arrived just prior to 3pm. We called ahead to be sure this was acceptable and we were told with friendly, welcoming voices that as long as we were seated before 3pm, we were welcome - so here we are! Yum yum! Checkered red and white table cloths, chicken pens out back, the garden patch complete with scarecrows and a perimeter fence to help keep the critters out are all featured at the locale! There is plenty of hubbub about this place on the talking boards and review boards - and now we've added our two cents - which reminds me that the prices are really reasonable and the service was fantastic! The fried chicken was hot as a fire cracker - freshly made with a fantasist batter. The livers were outstanding and also served piping hot! All the veggies and casseroles were super and served at the perfect temp! The salad and beets were so tasty and they were served chilled and were perfect! Kitschy and clean - and not a bit of mean! We will be back!

Alvin Ord's of Bluffton is my favorite sandwich shop of all time, period. The sandwiches are…read moreconsistently, insanely good. The bread they use is similar to an airy pizza crust, and topped with their three blends of cheese that are melted onto the bread before the meats and toppings are added. I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike. The vibe of the shop is like a little beachside surf shop, super casual and comfy, with indoor seating at mismatched tables, along with two screened in porches--one that's dog friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. I'd eat here every other day if I could--and that's only because I usually turn my regular sized sandwich into two days of lunch.

Great deli!! Shared a medium Reuben - delicious! Great bread, too. Casual, friendly atmosphere.read more

The bar area remains the same, but the decor changed to a Southwestern vibe to match their cuisine. There were 4 of us dining and we were seated at a booth soon after checking in. It's best to get reservations otherwise you may end up at the bar or at a high top. As opposed to the HHI location, this one does not have a rooftop area for dining. Halah was our server and did an excellent job taking care of us. She was very courteous and knowledgeable of the menu. We started with chips, queso and salsa when we were seated. The queso was delicous with a slight hint of heat. I ordered the oysters on the appetizer list. The presentation was great. Served with a modified tartar sauce as well as a southwestern cocktail sauce. The oysters were too breaded, though. I think it was mostly breading and a small amount of oysters which were hardly noticeable. I don't recommend unless you like heavily breaded and fried oysters. For the main meal, i ordered the Portabello Burrito which was drizzled with a sweet and spicy salsa. It looked like a miniature football when it arrived. It was too much for one sitting, though and I took half home with me. Halah advised that it would be a bit spicy which it was. Besides portabello mushrooms chopped inside, there was also Spanish rice and melted cheese. Very tasty. For dessert, my wife and I split the Kahlua Mouse ($10.00). It was very good, but we probably shouldn't have had it. On the reservation, I mentioned it was a special day since 3 of us were celebrating birthdays and one was a milestone. Yet no one from the staff acknowledged during our visit. They did acknowledge via a reservation reminder message sent directly to me. Those little subtle personal touches----plus fried oysters which actually have oysters inside would have earned an extra star. Maybe next time.
