Jay Redding has been incredible. Once he learned that my wife who was a regular transport patient had passed away and that I had to move, he took it upon himself to line up some guys and moved me to my new residence. He did this without second thoughts. He and his guys got me moved in and came back the next day to reassemble my bed and a couple of other pieces of furniture. Jay is one of a kind..He could have just expressed his sympathy and moved on, UT he didn't. During my time of grieving the loss of my spouse of 45 years, he took on a task that I was in no shape to do. More companies need a Jay Redding. And GMT is a better company for having him. I cannot speak highly about this company and how some of their staff go beyond the level of service to show the care for the customers My father passed away and I dealt numerous times with a Victoria from the VA and Bobby from GMT getting the transportation always booked a book correctly. There were times I needed transportation like right away to get him to appointments and Bobby gave me a company phone number and yes, I did abuse it by calling him all hours early in the AM and he always took my calls, and he approved and got transportation booked for me. I could tell I was getting him out of bed, but Bobby never once complained he always talked me through my-tears, he had a direct contact with somebody with the VA and the VA approved his approval What blows my mind the most is the last two people that I would expect to see show up at my father's funeral and viewing was Victoria from the VA and Bobby from GMT with flowers in hand. They showed their respects to my father. This was unbelievable true customer service. I don't believe this company GMT or the VA understands how important these two individuals Like me and other people in need. To know you have someone to talk to and reach out to and to cry on their shoulders and yes, they'll cry with you but they understand what you're going through and they still call and check on me to make sure I'm OK. I can't get over this. I will be personally writing a letter to the owner of the company as this is just amazing and a letter to the highest person I can go to at the VA My father Larry Bridges, may he rest in peace and I know he's very happy with how Bobby from GMT would always call and check on him and Victoria from the VA My family thank you for the bottom of our heart. read more

GMT is very flexible and will work with your schedule. I just had surgery yesterday, and for the return home, since I didn't really know how long the long surgery would last, I just worked with them so that they would pick me up when my surgery was done; just give them a call to pick you up when you are ready. So don't worry about not giving them a set time, they will understand stuff like medical appointments can be unpredictable in terms of timing. I had surgery 3 days ago, and initially I ordered for a transport back to my home that assumes I would be able to walk on my own, but it was clear from the nurses' point of view I was too weak after the surgery, so the nurses called GMTCare to change my order from a van designed for ambulatory people to one that accommodates someone who needs wheelchair assistance. This really showed how flexible GMTCare can be. A single call was all it took to change the van type, so a van with wheelchair assistance would come instead; life is unexpected, you need a company that is willing to adapt and be flexible for whatever problem you may have, and do it immediately. Anyways, my driver was Leah. She came pretty quicky, despite me literally changing the type of van I needed at the very last minute. She helped the nurses get me up to the GMTCare wheelchair very carefully, and she pushed me into the van. I never been to a van like this. There was a mechanized ramp that extends to the road for me to wheel into. The entire back of the van was designed for a wheelchair, and there were these hooks that secured the wheelchair to the van, and she put on multiple seatbelts on me to make sure I don't shift in any way during the transport. During the process, she was very focused and professional, and very focused on my safety, making sure each hook and belt was secured before starting. During the ride, she drove carefully, and was slow over bumps. Once we got to the apartment, she pushed me down lots of random hallways, and let me tell you, it was one of those giant apartment complexes that had a maze like environemnt where people easily get lost. I was half zonked from the surgery, so i could provide only limited directions for her, but Leah worked hard to navigate the maze, going up elevator, asking for direction at one point to someone passing by. Leah was quite determined to find my room; I needed a fighter, someone on my team when I am so weak, and Leah was that person, she wasn't phoning it in. After we finally found my apartment way up some high floor, she helped open the door and helped me get on my bed. And let me just say, Leah never used any dangerous physical maneuver on me throughout this proces. I mean she never physically hoisted me up like a sandbag or something. She was always very patient in helping me get up, constantly assessing how strong I am at that moment and then giving the apporpriate corresponding level of physical help/lift. That is respectful, and also minimize risk of her damaging herself or me in some risky/rough maneuver; safety is number one for GMTCare, and it shows. Leah is also quite humble (she exudes this "I am just doing my job" aura even when she is going above and beyond), easy to talk to, along with this strong sense of duty to the patient. Like she knows what is right and wrong and she will do the right thing. I mean, if my grandma had some transport issue, I would want Leah to help her; you need someone you can trust will do the right thing when no one is looking, and I intrinsicly trust her as a person to do the right thing. I think we forgot to bring the discharge paperwork from her van, and she actually went down, looked for it, and slipped it under the apartment door so I can read it. That is extra dedication. I will definitely choose GMTCare again in the future for my transport needs: every GMTCare transport staff has been courteous and goes above and beyond with me. The people scheduling on the phone are nice, sweet, reads out your order and request back to you, take their time to really confirm things. read more

My recent first ride with GMT was an enjoyable experience largely because of two employees. The first was my driver to the VA. Nicole greeted me with a smile and assisted me with boarding the vehicle, but she did not stop there. Nicole engaged me in conversation showing a sincere interest in getting to know a little more about me as a person. Nicole made my ride about as pleasant as a long ride in a van could be and it is her sparkling personality that made all the difference. But the outstanding customer service did not end with Nicole. Due to not knowing how long my VA appointment would take I decided to call the VA transportation people upon completion of my appointment. After 50 minutes of holding for a live person to request, they send GMT to return me home, I approached another GMT driver and after explaining how long I had been holding, he assured me that he would notify the GMT on-site supervisor to come to me to assist. I kept my fingers crossed that the driver would follow through and within five minutes a man named Maurice approached me and after identifying himself took full control of the situation and my dilemma. I was boarding a transport bus within minutes and on my way home. As I was leaving Maurice instructed me to contact him directly if I ever had to wait longer than 15 minutes in the future and provided me with his direct company cell number. In short, GMT treated me like my comfort and convenience truly mattered to them and for that reason, I do not hesitate to HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone requiring transport to or from a location. Wow! This company really has it together. I had recently used GMT Care to transport my patient from the hospital to rehab. Unfortunately there were unforeseen delays due to Covid but the staff really came through. Being a bit anxious about time I called their dispatcher about 3-5 times and probably tied up their telephone lines trying to expedite the move. I realized that gmt care is trying to do so much with so little staff and came to realize all of the professional courtesies that they extended to me. And want to thank them for their continued support of my patients during covid which really has taken a toll on us all. Receptionists were great. I called three times for different reasons, and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm a recluse that knows nobody, and the hospital wouldn't allow Uber or taxi to pick someone up after they've had a procedure involving anesthesia. GMTCare is a great alternative that the hospital allows. Got picked up at the hospital after my procedure by Isaiah and Jeremy. They responded very quickly and were professional. The van I rode in was clean and functional. Looked like what I'd imagine a Non-Emergency transportation service vehicle should look like. The morning of my transport day, I called to confirm the pick up time, and was informed everything was in order, and I would be picked up between 1:00pm and 1:30pm. I waited, and no one had arrived by 1:35pm, I attempted to call, but was informed there were five calls ahead of me. I waited on the phone on hold for 15min. My doctor's appointment was for 2:15pm, which left me with only 20 minutes to get from North Las Vegas to Centennial Hospital. When I was finally able to speak to GMT operator, she informed me "I was on the schedule", but because of staffing shortages no driver had been assigned!! This presented a totally unacceptable circumstance!! I was depending on GMT to get me to my appointment!!!!!! I was on their schedule, but they "didn't care" enough to even have a driver available! If they weren't coming, they should have notified me in a timely manner so I could possibly make other arrangements!!! Medical transportation is crucial for patient's, and you are dependent on them to fulfill their responsibility to transport you!! The amount of stress, and anxiety I suffered that afternoon was so unfair to me as a client, and as a human being, no one should be subjected to that!! When a company chooses to just disregard importance of getting patient's to their scheduled appointments, that company can be considered unreliable, and maybe clients should consider other options!!!!
