I just need to be sure their nurses handle what she needs because she has a PICC line and is on TPN. Even though I handle all of her TPN, I know labs need to be done weekly and the dressing changes are required weekly. This was one of the only Home Health companies approved by Medicare AND had a good amount of reviews on Google & Yelp with good ratings. That said, I called the number on their website and the number listed on the Medicare approved site.... Both ring and ring and then go to a voicemail that's full for 2 days now. While my call wasn't urgent at all, this would be less than ideal if she was a patient of theirs. So frustrating. Back to more hours of research to try to find a good fit.

We were connected with Ideal Home Health by our social services professional. Right away we had coordination of visits by a registered nurse, physical therapist and home health aide. The communication has been warm and helpful throughout. Our nurse, Clarissa, is a true angel of mercy. We needed guidance on the tube feedings, skin care, and other nursing related tasks I had as a new caregiver though I have been an RN for years. Taking care of someone who just had a tracheostomy removed and needs constant attention is pretty overwhelming. Clarissa had ideas for us which we use even now. Her clinical skills are amazing. She obviously cares deeply for the clients in her care. If there is a schedule change we are always informed. We recommend Clarissa wholeheartedly! Tim, the physical therapist, is very knowledgeable and patient. He taught my husband some great tactics which have led to my husband's gradual improvement. Tim means so much to us. We met Julianne, a home health aide as well. We had arranged for a part time caregiver by the time Julianne visited, so we did not continue with her but she is a nursing student who shows lots of passion and caring. This is not a review I ever thought I would have to write. And after reading the reviews of so many…read moreother Yelpers and Elites, it's sad to see how many others have been in the same situation as myself. My mother was diagnosed with MMMT cancer in early 2012. She went through chemotherapy and was eventually in remission for 9 years after that, which we are so thankful for as most patients with this type of cancer don't make it past 5 years. In November 2021, she was rediagnosed with a recurrence of the same cancer. We got her an incredible doctor which we are so thankful to for helping manage her pain, and my dad took the most incredible care of her for the last 8 months, but unfortunately, she was admitted to the ER about two weeks ago, and after running tests and speaking with her doctor, we were told her liver was failing, her body could no longer tolerate chemotherapy, and her cancer was "blooming" inside her. We were given the devastating news that she had about two weeks left. The hospital connected us with Nathan Adelson Hospice. The representative we met with was incredibly kind, very professional. They wanted us to take her to the facility, but after discussing as a family, we wanted to bring her home, so family and friends could come to visit her in her last days and say their goodbyes. And she could live out her final days in the comfort of the home that she loved so much. The hospice arrived before we brought my mom home and set up her bed in my parents bedroom. They also transported her from the hospital to home and did so in such care and comfort. The hospice was truly so helpful. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, soft spoken, and understanding. My dad had been caring for her for the past 8 months, and they helped equip him as well as the rest of us to give her medication to continue to make her comfortable in her remaining days. They provided a big notebook with lots of information, and a 24/7 telephone line to contact if we had any questions. A chaplain came, social worker, and nurses as well. Everyone was helpful and answered all our questions. One of the nurses also gave some helpful advice in terms of getting her a memory foam topper for her bed to help make her more comfortable, as well as businesses to contact for cremation services. One of the nurses in particular was so empathetic. She asked my sister how long my dad and mom had been married. We told her 47 years in June, and she honestly looked as if she was going to cry. It's comforting to know that the people that work for Nathan Adelson Hospice truly care about the patients and the loved ones grieving and going through the unimaginable. My mother passed Sunday, May 29, 2022 and I will spend the rest of my days on this earth missing her. But in her honor, I want to thank those like Nathan Adelson Hospice who were there to help make this process less stressful for myself and my family, as I know that is what she would want me to do.

On Tuesday 9, 2026 at approximately 10:00 AM, Mr. Roth visited our family to discuss hospice care options. At that time, we informed him that we needed additional time to discuss these options as a family before making any decisions. Subsequently, another member of the care team met with us, and after further discussion, we decided not to pursue hospice care at that time. We assumed this decision had been communicated to all relevant members of the hospice and care teams. However, on Thursday at approximately 8:45AM, Mr. Roth returned and again began discussing hospice care. Because our family members were not all present, my father called my sister so she could participate in the conversation. During that discussion, we clearly communicated that we intended to continue pursuing treatment, including chemotherapy. Despite this, Mr. Roth continued emphasizing that my father's illness was terminal. While we fully understand the seriousness of his diagnosis, the manner in which the information was presented felt unnecessarily pessimistic and dismissive of our family's decision to continue treatment. Rather than feeling supported in making an informed choice, we felt pressured toward hospice care despite having already communicated our wishes. Additionally, communication barriers appeared to arise when Mr. Roth attempted to speak Spanish. Given the importance of discussing complex medical decisions, we believe professional interpretation services or communication in the language in which he is most proficient would help prevent misunderstandings and ensure patients and families receive clear, accurate information. We understand that hospice is an important option that should be discussed when appropriate. However, we believe patients and families should feel respected and supported regardless of the treatment path they choose. We hope this feedback can be reviewed to improve communication and patient-family experiences moving forward.
