Caring for a loved one in your home is an all hands on deck sort of situation (depending on the needs of your loved one). In our case it was anyways, and there were some aspects of caregiving that were beyond our capabilities. We met with a representative and discussed needs and expectations, what they could and could not do and they matched us with a couple caregivers who were absolute angels on earth. The time they spent in our home was MORE than appreciated and worth EVERY PENNY. Our loved one looked forward to her visits with Michelle or Mickie each week, and the companionship and expertise that they showed her (and us) was undlessly appreciated. I can not thank them enough, and can't tell you, if you are starting your journey caring for a loved one, get help. It does take a village and comfort keepers can be part of that village.

Having dealt with Elder Care Services for over two years, it is my opinion that this company meets and exceeds such criteria. The company is also properly and adequately licensed, bonded, and insured. My mother passed away one year ago, yet my wife and I are still in touch with and often visit several of her prior care givers and the owners of Elder Care Services. More than just caring individuals who rendered our family service, they became members of our family. My mother required round the clock supervision and assistance which meant that Elder Care Services had to provide either rotating day and night shift staff, or individuals who lived and slept in mom's home for several days, then rotated out for days off. Mom had very specific health and religious dietary restrictions and required assistance in the use of mobile and stationary oxygen generators, respiration equipment, breathing treatments, and exercise devices. Every staff member provided by Elder Care Services was amenable to the special training and application of these aspects of mom's treatment and daily routine. They prepared and served her meals, washed, dressed, and groomed her, assisted with transportation to doctors, labs, and restaurants, helped follow doctors' and therapists' orders on meds, treatments and exercises, and kept her mind strong and active with conversation, reading, games, puzzles, watching and discussing TV shows. I could go on and on about the love and care that mom received from these incredibly dedicated people, but one fact stands out: Mom had been in hospitals, nursing homes, and rehab facilities for six months straight before we were able to get her back home. There were times we thought she would never make it. She would not have been able to go home at all without Elder Care Services. (The started training with her in the hospital.) If not for Elder Care Services, she would not have been able to stay in her home two more years and celebrate her 95th birthday in her own living room with 27 party guests. Elder Care Services was with her (us) in mom's last hours at the hospital, and even at the cemetery. What more needs to be said? Maybe just that this growing family-owned company is so reputable and reliable that they provide home health care services in several US states! Give them a call.

A lot of things are not right there . When my daughter move in one of their group home she had to…read moresign papers . I was out of the country at that time so I told her to get copies of everything she had signed . When I got back I saw that the papers were not legal because where it says witness : nobody had signed it . So the trouble began there already . Then when I visited my daughter there the first time one of their care giver screamed at one other resident who is non verbal to go back to her room . That poor girl did nothing wrong . Then 2 persons from the office tried to break the HIPPA law by insisting to get in session at a psychiatrist appointment for my daughter . Luckily I was there and the psychiatrist didn't let them in . Another time I wasn't able to go to her doctor appointment and one person from the office broke the law and went inside with my daughter even though she told her I don't want you in there . Every time I made a complain , every time I let the DRC know about it . It's only after I lost my patience with them that she got a new team from DRC but it was hell . One supervisor had the nerf to tell me in front of my daughter and her supervisor : you didn't want your daughter and we found a place for her ! I was more then shocked as I' m advocating fir my daughter for 16 years and I will never give up on her ever . The DRC social worker that she had lied in her reports . The plans that were put in place how to help my daughter with them helping her to take the bus was never done , to help her learn to manage her money was never done . The Danville group home are just a place like a daycare nothing more and they don't know half of what I know after 16 years advocating ! The personal at the house are watching tv , playing on their phone, doing diamond painting . And some lie too . I wouldn't recommend them to anybody who live their kids because it's nit a good place to be at . My daughter is back with us now . I don't have to worry anymore and that's an important thing . As soon as I have the time I'm going to make a complain to the state because I don't want that happen to others special needs persons because they can't advocate fir themself and often they have nobody to advocate for them . I also learn today that DRC has a lot of complaints at the state levels as well and I would have to stay in line for months to be able to do it . So please be aware as who you take to , who you trust and most importantly know the laws
