I strongly recommend exercising caution before providing any deposit to Right at Home. In my case, a deposit that was described as "fully refundable" was not returned, even though there were no ongoing services, no regular care schedule, and no documented balance owed. When I pointed this out, the owner, Shawn Slatter, did not engage with the actual language of the contract and instead relied on vague and inconsistent interpretations. Despite repeated requests, I was never provided documentation supporting the forfeiture, and the key factual issues I raised went largely unanswered. Meaningful engagement only occurred after I contacted a government agency. Even then, the company continued to rely on unclear contract language, leaving litigation as the only remaining option. This is an impractical route given the cost, resulting in the company retaining funds without contractual justification. What concerned me most was the owner's statement that situations like this arise multiple times each year. For a company working with elderly clients and their families, that pattern raises serious ethical questions. Transparency and fair treatment should be standard; that was not my experience. Separately, the service was initially presented as charging higher rates to ensure quality caregivers, and rates were even increased shortly after services began. However, multiple caregivers shared during service that they were paid minimum wage. Given that we were charged roughly three times minimum wage, this suggests that most of the client fees went to line the owner's pockets. Employees also claimed that the owner was hostile and unfairly retaliatory. The result was frequent turnover, with better caregivers leaving for more fairly compensated work and overall service quality declining. The caregivers are good. The problem is the company has a HARD time covering weekend shifts for some clients...not acceptable. Clients depend on their Home Healthcare Co. to provide the care they contracted for. If you value consistency when it comes to your needs being met...keep looking. Just sayin. read more

I have to preface this review with a warning. Please if you have a loved one who needs in-home care, do not hire "Right at Home" Henderson, Nevada under any circumstances. There were two instances that the caregivers they sent were stealing from my sister. The only thing they did when I reported my concerns was to tell me that "the caregivers are not allowed to take your sister to the ATM any longer and that I would have to find some other way for her to get cash. The caregiver suspected of the stealing never came to my sister's home again, and the ATM cash withdrawals stopped. A second incident occurred in 2024 when one of the caregivers was using her credit card to buy things on Amazon. The card reversed those charges. They kept insisting that I add hours because she couldn't be alone. 24/7 care was going to cost approximately $24,000 a month. I told the agency that she couldn't afford that and I was going to move her to an assisted living facility. I also told them that she couldn't afford the $24,000/month and that she was going to run out of money in 3 months. Their reply to me was "She won't last 3 months". Some of the caregivers were wonderful even though they only earn $15/hr. They stayed on because they loved my sister. So much else to say but in general please don't hire these people. I had to select a rating and there was nothing below one star. read more

We engaged Right At Home Las Vegas to provide care for our elderly parents who lived there without nearby family. The service was paused while they both were in a rehab facility. The day before my mother was to come home, I was in Las Vegas and visited the Right At Home office to agree a care schedule for her. They wrote the schedule by hand and gave it to me. The next morning, a few hours before my mother was due home from the facility, the owner contacted me to say they would be cancelling the service. Apparently Right At Home didn't appreciate our health care advocate, whom we had hired to look after our parents' needs, asking them too many questions -- so they spitefully left a sick and vulnerable old lady without care on short notice. Luckily we were able to find another provider. Following this, Right At Home agreed we had fully paid for all previous service and that they would return our deposit. To date, in spite of numerous requests over nine months including one from an attorney, they have failed to return our deposit. Based on our experience, we consider Right At Home to be untrustworthy and unreliable. We would not recommend them. read more

This "Company" is a franchise and the couple that owns it, is not willing to work with your schedule for compensatory pay regarding differing clients. Some of their clients require driving to the casino, malls, restaurants, parks, etc. This driving is paid at 51cents/mile, which is a problem if you are putting a lot of wear and tear; gas, oil, tires, battery....on your car. Gas at $4/gal. Their hourly pay is minimal and they are unwilling to (for this type of client), pay you a dollar an hour more; which for this client would be $5/day....equal to a 1/2 McDonald's Big Mac meal!! The wife thought it would be doable, but her husband flat out refused to consider this win-win situation. I spoke with him on the phone and he complained I keep them on the phone talking for 20-30 minutes. Really? Shawn is his name and he wouldn't let me explain my position. He HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!! I called back! This is CONTROL and definitely not the way to run a business. I have many credentials in the medical field and this is not someone you want to work for! His wife had mentioned to me a few days ago when I went to get a copy of my resume (my computer was down), that Shawn was busy with their BRAND NEW HOME! Must be nice! She also mentioned that they we're losing all of our caregivers"! Please, try another agency! I am an ex ICU Respiratory Therapist, CNA, caregiver for over 10 years, and I have never been treated like a second-class citizen as this...ever! It is unprofessional to hang up the phone on anyone, especially one of your employees. I will not tolerate it and hence, the need for me to write this to you. I called Right At Home because one of my family members needed in home care services. The friendly staff took the time to schedule an appointment to meet with myself and my family member. They asked all the appropriate questions and even explained to me that they also provide light housekeeping, accompany my mom to her Dr.'s appointment ,prepare meals for my mother and even go grocery shopping when needed. They also provide medication reminders for their clients as well. I was also impressed by the companion care and personal care that they provide. I would definitely recommend this service for someone looking for in home care services. The staff is professional and courteous and they give me the impression that they really care about their clients which gave me a piece of mind. read more
