Having downsized from a larger vehicle to haul my 3 children and friends around in, I was happy to purchase an Alpha Romeo Gulia. However, I was unaccustomed to the low front bumper and small size. As such, I damaged the front bumper to the extent I needed a new one or have the existing damaged bumper "glued" back on (which I honestly tried to do on my own). I brought my car to another highly recommended autobody shop. The estimate was high, BUT the date to receive the bumper was too late. Plus, they estimated 5 days to do the repair. We are moving in a month, so I needed the repair done faster. I brought my car to GLS and spoke to Carlos. He agreed that the bumper *could* be cemented back on with all scratches buffed out. But imagine my surprise when I received a call back the next day and he told me that he called several sources and found a new bumper. I agreed to the increased material/labor cost. The bumper was delivered the NEXT day and the repair completed the following day (3 days total). I picked up my car today and it looks like new. GLS even cleaned my car inside and out. I don't trust just anyone with my car so finding a good shop was very important to me. 2 yrs ago I gave them black side skirts to repaint formula red with no sight of the car. I made the mistake of going to Euro Pros Collision Center in Gaithersburg for some minor repairs on my 2019 Audi E Tron. They quoted me nearly $ 6000. Knowing that this was a rip off and anticipating a bill closer to $1000, I sought another estimate. GLS gave me an estimate of around $350. They told me that they just needed to buff out the door and paint the corner of the front bumper cover. The work was outstanding. The car looks perfect and the total bill was $352. Highest recommendation for price, service, convenience, and skill. I had a fender bender on my beautiful car. Our family had used GLS on two other occasions, one for my daughter's car, one for my wife's. Both times GLS did a great job and the cars looked great. Just as important, they were no problem to work with. They know how to get along with the insurance company, they give realistic estimates of the time it will take to complete the repair, and they keep their promises. So I used them again for my car repair. Everything went incredibly smoothly. I contacted my insurance company, they knew GLS well (a good sign) and worked directly with them to figure out the repair estimate/bill. For me it was no fuss/no muss. I wrote a check for my deductible, the insurance company wrote me a check for the remaining amount, and I endorsed that check to GLS. The repair was truly as good as new, no way to tell the car had been in an accident. When GLS repaired my daughter's car (and possibly my wife's, I don't remember), they threw in gratis some small repairs that they happened to notice. That totally won me over. Just last night we had a crazy hail storm, and my beautiful car has dozens of "dimples" in the metal that need to be fixed. I will head to GLS to get it fixed. One last note. Great service. It's a small shop but do not let that fool you. I recently took a 2016 VW Jetta that had an unfortunate encounter with a concrete pillar when parking. Instead of paying another auto shop over twice as much I took it here and they were able to do the job quick and painless. They gave me a couple options on how to go about the repair and opted for the cheaper route. The paint looks great! I'm very detail orientated and often disappointed with the quality of work and customer service I receive from many businesses. With that being said, my expectations were exceed and I was blown away from my experience with G.L.S Auto Body in Rockville, MD. One of the owners that I dealt with (Lee) is also a car guy, very customer service focused, concerned about the quality of the work they do and genuinely cares. After getting a couple estimates to repair body damage to my vehicle I took it to GLS Auto Body where Lee examined the damage and provided an estimate with a couple different methods of repair and related costs. When I selected GLS Auto Body to complete the repair work I left it to them to choose the method of repair. Lee recommended the lower cost repair option. When I dropped the car off to have the work completed, Lee's brother drove me home which was a nice touch. The repair work was completed in a short amount of time and when promised and I was called to pickup the car. When I inspected the repair work I was impressed with the shaping, color match, etc. The repair was perfect ! I was further amazed by the fact that the technician who completed the body work also took the time to fix some scratches to one of my wheel rims and did an excellent job - all without charge or being asked. It was clear that like the owner Lee, the technician took pride in his work. I also noticed that they had hand washed my car prior to pickup. I went to this family owned business because I read the ratings on them, which were very good. Lee and his brother own the shop for 26 years. A deer ram my 2003 Toyota Prius on the passenger side and did some major damage. My insurance company Hartford, was trying to short change me on the repair and Lee wouldn't have any of it and got my car repaired correctly despite the insurance co. best efforts to prevent it. They wanted to use rebuild parts or third party parts, and wasn't going to repair some it. I will ditch Hartford Car Insurance when I get the opportunity and find an auto insurance company that is honest and has my interest at heart. Lee got all original Toyota parts for my repairs and absorbed the cost differences out of his pocket. He repair all of it including what they weren't going to repair. The repair work was flawless,and beautiful. I can only give high praise to this shop. I come from four generations family business background, and really appreciate him taking pride in his work and how he treats his consumer.
