We hired GLR Kitchen and Bath remodeling to do two full bathroom remodels, our guest bathroom, and our master bathroom, install a vanity area in our bedroom, and install some windows. We signed a contract for about $45,000 worth of work in December 2021 and work didn't start until May 2022. They started a week early and went over deadline about 3 weeks. There were days people didn't even show up. They pushed and pushed for full payment on a job that was not even close to being finished and when we refused to give them the final payment until the job was completed, with lots of back and forth, they told us they were done with our job and not coming back. Our final punch list was a page long, full shower glass enclosures in both bathrooms were never installed, wainscot wall coverings were incomplete and not installed well, sloppy seams and wood trim throughout, painting and drywall work was sloppy, chipped tiles and some of the new custom cabinetry was marred. We wanted to keep our existing wood trim but most of it got ruined by the elements because of their carelessness. The wood trim they used to replace ours was a different kind of wood, stained two shades too dark and wood filler was two shades too light. They left paint rollers hanging in trees, paint spills on the driveway and nails in the driveway which punctured our car tires. They continued to make it very clear that the contract was a fixed rate contract however they didn't honor that, specifically the wainscot material, they said the original material cost increased significantly and gave us two other material options to choose from that were significantly cheaper, so their contract was most definitely not a fixed rate contract. They failed to order material in a timely manner and expected us to eat it and go with a lower quality material. We also ordered $4,500 worth of custom bedroom furniture about halfway thru that we never received and after they told us they weren't coming back we asked for our furniture deposit back, which they refused, they sent us pictures of the furniture frames, with no drawers, knobs or finish and told us to come get it since material was already paid for. This is just bad business. We contacted the NC Contractors licensing board to file a complaint and learned our contract was illegal because their license wasn't valid when we signed the initial contract. That investigation is still pending. We ultimately had to hire our own glass company for the shower glass install and a new plumber to come out and fix low water pressure in both showers and zero hot water in the guest shower. The new plumber found wood chips in the shower heads and told us they used natural gas line pipe dope instead of Teflon tape to seal the connections, there are no gas lines in our home. We were left having to fix all the mismatched wood trim, sloppy paint, drywall and several other issues ourselves. GLR Kitchen and Bath remodeling cannot handle a big job and I would never recommend this company to do work, big or small, in your home. read more

GLR was once good but that's the past. The new owner has flush the business reputation down the drain. GLR kitchen and bath is only in the business of taking your hard earned money. Very unprofessional and practices poor ethics when dealing with your money. I am in the process of suing GLR and will report back with final judgment. There are too many great companies out there, don't waste your time and money with these crooks. Do your do diligence before committing yourself, I wish I did :-( read more

Punch list not completed after they were paid. Items missing like vent for kitchen where to stove is. Electrical isn't right in the kitchen once they removed the appliances. Under the kitchen sink, the line was cut to the dishwasher. Windows and trim downstairs not finished. No shower door downstairs has been installed and he blames that materials have doubled when as a matter of fact they were doubled when he quoted this project!! There is countless other things that need to be done, especially touch ups. My aunt has invested $126,000 in a project where some of the quality of work is not met to expectations. We were promised this job would be done no matter what. Time management is poor and I feel personally that when they received the last bit of money, their warehouse was priority. they had time to renovate their warehouse but not even finish my project. I honestly don't know where the full $126,000 went besides the materials and some labor in the house! This was my first experience working with a contractor, honestly it will be my last for a long time. This burned me. Not counting on Nick blaming me for taking a loan out for his business even though he did receive lump sum payments. That is a smack in the face. read more

Nick with Get'em Laid Right Tile, truly lives up to the name of his company. When it comes to quality of workmanship and pride in what he does you will not find a better tile setter, stone worker or remodeler than Nick and his crew. Nick and his crew showed up when they said they would. They worked full and complete days and preformed all work that was to be expected and was contracted for. They also cleaned up their work area at the end of each day as any professional company would. Even during the demo which he didn't subcontract out to someone on craigslist it was performed by Nick and his crew. When all the tile was laid and plumbing was installed all the lines were perfectly straight, the floor was solid and level and all cuts were clean on his tile work. The negative, if you can truly call it a negative. It does take a while to get on the schedule to begin the work with Get'em Laid Right Tile because he is in such high demand and is usually booked solid for weeks in advance. There is a reason for that. If you're looking for top notch and quality work, he is worth the wait. Sure you might be able find someone cheaper or find someone who can get started sooner. Trust me you will regret that choice once the "other guys" work is done. Like they say you get what you pay for and good things come to those who wait. For the record I am not a relative, neighbor or even a friend of this company before any of this work was performed. I was not asked, coerced or even threatened to write a review. I am just a very satisfied customer who paid for a service from a contractor and he delivered above and beyond my expectations. Good news travels fast, but bad news travels faster. I HOPE NOTHING BUT GOOD NEWS AND REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY. We need more companies and contractors like this.
