We hired HR Blvd Construction to extend a small 30"x48" closet an additional 36" to have a final…read moremeasurement of 66"x48". Based on reviews and initial conversations we felt confident in moving forward. Staff was friendly but unfortunately MANY things happened that have left our family in disbelief of how a company could treat us like this. -Timeline was hard to get from them. Coming and going was not communicated well. We were constantly asking when people would be coming and going. We felt like we had to project manage things ourself. -Many drywall issues. Even when bringing issues to their attention as soon as we saw them, the proceeded to try to cover them up rather than fix them correctly. This happened 3 separate times. -Paint was put on very poorly with glops in some areas and also some areas completely missed. Nail holes not filled. Everything looked rushed or just lack of care. -One of their workers hit our neighbors mailbox with his car (all on camera) completely knocking it apart and tried to drive off and not get caught. Took MANY conversations to get them to properly repair this. This worker also did our drywall and painting so we are not surprised the lack of effort put into the work. -Did not properly protect the room or items inside from construction debris. We had to go out an buy material to cover our carpet, furniture, TV and flooring to proceed them when they came back to try to fix things as they made zero effort. -LVP floors in the room they worked in were damaged with a few small dents. -We had to get the carpet on our stairs steam cleaned as they tracked so much debris through our home our vacuum could not pull it all up. To conclude this job as they came back for the 3rd time and still could not fix things as we asked, I asked for a $900 refund to cover getting things fixed correctly and hiring a cleaning company. They countered at $500 OR offered to come back for a 4th time. We just wanted this to end and be done so we took the $500 refund offer. They have now ghosted us with no refund. I have called and text and nobody is getting back ahold of us.

I highly recommend Walt for any job you might have in your house. He is going to charge what it is and not a cent more. Remember, you get what you pay for. After a couple weeks after the job was done and Mr. Haines was paid, I had a little inconvenient, nothing serious, but I e-mailed him on Sunday night and by Monday noon he took care of the problem at no cost for us. I am sure not many people act like that after is gone with their money on their pockets. 5 stars for this contractor. Do not hesitate in calling him for an estimate. Theirs was the second remodeling estimate. When Fernando left the house, my wife said "l like him." I did too. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and engaging. Plus, as it turned out, they had the better estimate. When we visited the showroom Susie helped us make sound decisions, but did so without taking over. She too, was friendly and knowledgeable. We installed a European style shower, which entailed tearing out the molded one-piece unit, cutting an appropriate opening into the existing drywall, and reworking the plumbing. They then framed a larger shower stall. But the most interesting part was watching the craftsmen lay the tile piece by piece. It seemed to be as much art as craftsmanship. The glass workers later came and took measurements for the glass. After about 10 days or so, they installed the glass panels and door. Everyone (Fernando, Susie, the tile workers, and the glass workers) did a superb job. Santi delivered as promised. Fernando estimated his part of the job (demolition, framing, tile work) would take about a week. It did. They arrived each day at about 8:30 and left at about 5:00. They covered our floors for protection and cleaned up their mess daily. Fernando even brought my wife flowers. The project is beautiful and functional. We could not be happier, and give Santi our highest recommendation.

We had been burned by our builder so badly and left the job unfinished and owing us thousands of prepaid unfinished jobs and said we would absolutely not pay a dime until the job was finished to our satisfaction. Chris and his partner came as promised, finished the job in one day as promised and did a fantastic job. We couldn't be more pleased both with the job as well as what great guys to work with. The builder who burned us is named Jordan Pucci, owner of Carolina Custom Carpentry. We had him arrested and learned that he has done this to many people in the area. I doubt he'll be able to take advantage of anyone else after the courts get through with him but remember the name JORDAN PUCCI. Do no business with this man or you'll regret it! Illia is hands down my go to handyman…read more And I don't say that lightly because I gave him a really big project that took over a week to complete. He literally does it all (replacing toilets, replacing floors, treating the concrete, finding problem areas (mold) and replacing it, identify issues (wrong breakers placed in the house), painting rooms, replacing doors.. you name it and he can do it. What I appreciated the most about him is that he has strong communication, great work ethic and will get the job done no matter how long it takes. We had an issue or two with our ceiling fan after the project was done and he immediately came out to take a look - both at the fan and at the how it was wired (turns out it was the fan). He's definitely reliable and would take care of the job until the client is satisfied. His pricing is also very reasonable. I've only known him for three weeks and has already given him three projects. I'd definitely rely on Illia again in the future.
