I was very happy that he was there purely to give an estimate -- there was no pressure to make a decision on the spot. A couple of weeks later, at the appointed time, Kevin completed the work thoroughly and cleanly. The area around around the back door looks like new. The gutters worked perfectly in the recent storms. Final comment -- what I paid matched the estimate, to the penny.

We had a fantastic experience with Kevin from start to finish…read more We had a leak showing up in our laundry room and were having a tough time figuring it out since it wasn't happening when we were doing laundry and it only happened certain times when it rained, not all the time. My husband attempted to find the leak when looking at the pipes in the attic, cutting out part of the wall in the laundry room to make sure no pipes behind the washer/dryer were having issues, but eventually came to the conclusion that it could potentially be rain coming into the dryer vent which is on our roof - so if we had an extremely hard rain that came in a crazy angle, our wall was getting wet. So I researched around for someone and came across the reviews for McToolman. Kevin was quick to respond, set up an initial consultation that worked with our schedules, and send us a quote. We were fine with the quote and scheduled for Kevin to make the fix. Kevin came as scheduled and made the repair very quickly. We have had no issues since and appreciate the great job we received in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Kevin with McToolman!

We had a major exterior renovation completed by Hatch Homes. One of the things that helped us with…read morethe selection was the relationship development led by Bill Gayler. Besides our exterior walls, Bill and his team designed a half-wall with cedar board complimented with new Anderson windows. The new design allowed us to create a relaxing sunroom that overlooks our new landscaped garden. Oh, did I tell you that we were presented with a computer-generated design with the ability to edit? This made it very easy for me to understand and "see" the project. In addition to the Hardy board installation, Bill and his team created a new exterior entry to a breezeway reading room was stunning-----now with the new hardscape, it IS STUNNING and really shows how Bill understood the vision we had. After the dust settled, Bill maintained an open communication with us. And this has proven valuable. Anytime you have a large project like this, you will encounter punch-list items. So many people have had challenges after a project is done. Not with Hatch Homes. Bill informed me that his Project Manager Patrick O. would be in contact. My meeting with Patrick was truly a blessing. Not only did he agree with the issues that I needed some correction due to items shifting, he also eyed some minor finds that will be corrected. There was nothing that Hatch Homes did not take ownership----and their goal is quite simple: Keep the Wow Factor. Patrick really impressed me. He is licensed in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC trade and maintains certification in many other disciplines. When you invest in a vendor who will create the dream home renovation, you want to make sure your dollars are well-spent and the end-result is what you expected. We are proud to say that we continue to get more than expected. In my opinion, the Follow-Up/Punch-List phase really differentiates those who are dedicated to their craftsmanship and take care of their customers. I can understand why Hatch Homes calendar is busy for the next six-months. I am so happy they are busy. Lastly, do not let their Charlotte address deter you from reaching out. The Hatch Home team has a far reach and travel a great deal to create wonderful results.

I called and Alex picked up immediately. Very polite on the phone and booked an appointment with him in two days. Alex arrived early, did a walk around the entire house, told me there were 2 additional areas that needed repair, he walked me outside and showed me the areas. I was sort of sick about additional areas that needed to be replaced but frankly I could see it and of course I didn't want rain water entering the house so I appreciated his keen eye on my issues. I also had a xeriscape rain barrel that I wanted hooked up to a downspout. This was done Tuesday (excellent job and added height to it to allow for better flow, innovative!) and today Thursday the main work was done and in a tidy manner and it looks great. Alex went up on the roof the first visit and took numerous pictures, diagnosed nails and missing shingles. This was awesome to show my husband all the pictures (roof is about 30 feet high and peaked so we cannot access). I highly recommend Alex and Charlotte Pro Roofing and the employees he had at my home working here (he supervised the entire job). Very professional, tidy, respectful of my questions. I even had had cobwebs that were unreachable that Alex removed for me. Now it doesn't look like a haunted house. A+++++++++++

My husband made the call to search for contractors to re-side our house. This was the second place we called. They came out, checked out the house and gave us the quote. Kevin stopped by to drop of siding options and talk colors. He talked to me about color options and what he thought would look good. (My husband was thinking of brown...so any other color sounded good.) Just beyond friendly and helpful. They started the house and were done in less than a week. Which is amazing. We live in an older home, so as I was watching the transformation I just couldn't believe that this good looking house was mine. Kevin would drop by to make sure all was going well. Once all the siding was up his crew cleaned and perfected within about 2 days and of course Kevin reached out to make sure everything was to our liking. When I say GREAT customer service, I mean it. These guys not only did awesome work but their sheer ability to treat us as neighbors and not just paying customers was what really stood out to me. They have experience and knowledge about this field and their work speaks for itself.

Let me start this review with the disclaimer that I did not end up using Evergreen's services. Due…read moreto price constraints of insurance only covering our interior repairs costs due to a roof leak, we had to stretch our budget and found a slightly better quote. However, I thought it necessary to give Matt at Evergreen a big shout-out for his estimate process on 9/11/18 for several highlighted reasons: 1) Aside from the roofer we went with, Matt was the only other one who investigated the leak from the inside. I had offered the same option to the first 2 companies who gave estimates, & even to the insurance company's roof inspector, but all declined. Plus, Matt asked about looking at the interior of the leak area before I even advised of the crawlspace option. 2) Matt only sold me on fixing just the leaky area and resulting rot, rather than re-flashing the whole roof line, which had been the go-to (and more expensive) fix thrown out by others. 3) Matt was generous enough to throw together a makeshift patch while he was there, since Hurricane Florence was approaching that weekend and we weren't going to be able to get the leak fixed ahead of the storm. 4) Above all, Matt was nice and respectful, and gave off a very trustworthy vibe just from a few minutes of interaction. A re-read of his other reviews showed many experiences similar to mine with above & beyond work, but without overselling or fixing unnecessary things. Although we didn't go with Matt for our project, you can feel confident if you choose him for your roofing needs!
