My wife and I had a vision for what we wanted for our home. After meeting with virtually every…read morecustom and major brand company in Charlotte, we decided to go with Mat, and Brazawood. I can honestly say, it is one of the best decisions we've made. Over the years we have done several major renovations to our forever-home. We have always been very selective about who we've chosen to work with, and as a result, we've been fortunate to have had overwhelmingly good experiences. That's said, I do not know that we've ever worked with any company, big or small, that was as professional, responsive, caring and communicative as Brazawood. To be clear, this is a family-owned company that not only takes a great deal of pride in how they operate, and what they produce, but they treat you as part of their family, and they treat your project as if it were their own. Mat and his team not only helped us realize our vision, but they improved it. Since these photos were taken, Brazawood has stained our deck, and we have already started working with them on our next outdoor project. I don't know what it is that you're looking for, but I am sure that whatever it is, Brazawood can help you find it. Mat is a craftsman, an artist, and a perfectionist; and Brazwood, and his team, move accordingly.

Very prompt responses with Michelle answering all of my questions and the meeting and appraisal with Matt exceeded my expectations. Quality work and craaftmanship along with a total clean up of old boards as well as a great finished product they "earned" this 5 Star rating. Fairly priced, professional and top quality - the experience was excellent. I highly recommend Brazawood for your decking and other needs within their building or repair offerings.

From start to finish, communication was consistent, clear, and professional. Working directly with owner Ben Bellassai was truly a pleasure. He listened to exactly what I wanted for our deck, worked within our budget, and made the entire deck remodel process stress-free. The crew was fantastic, respectful, hardworking, and kept the project moving smoothly every day. Our new deck turned out even better than we expected, and the deck was completed earlier than planned, which was a huge bonus. If you are in Raintree or the Charlotte and surrounding area and looking for a company for a deck remodel, deck replacement, or custom deck project, I highly recommend American Dream Home Remodeling. The quality of the deck work, communication, pricing, and overall experience were all five star. We absolutely love our new deck!

Now, I am writing review again because no updates or communication about next steps from them (and it's same thing everytime). I read all recent reviews (some of them very precise about delays). I just want to warn you guys who might get fooled by marketing tactics of American Dream Home Remodeling. I gave them one home improvement project last year. Please note, not to give them any money until they start actual work (or I would say until they finish work). If that's not possible, make sure you add clause for completion timeline and penalty for not delivering on time. Below are the timelines. - June-2025: Signed project - Dec-2025: started initial permit process - Jan-14--2026: started footer work, inspection was also done in next 2-3 days but then work stopped due to winter storm (which lasted just(10-15 days). Since then, all debris (you will see in photos) were in my patio for 2 months - Mar-6-2026: Filled footer with concrete - Mar-12-2026: I had to move debris to side of my house as I was expecting guest. - Mar-27-2026: scheduled 2nd inspection round with county but no one showed up and no updates since then. - Apr-04-2016: Finally debris were cleaned. Now I am waiting and waiting. No updates. There customer rep. always say one line "I will pass your message to the team" and after that no updates. It's been over 11 months now and I am still waiting to start building actual project. Initially visits were very good where they shown deep interest working with me and made impression that they are best in business (like saying top quality material, experienced contractors, etc.), but now I don't know when it will start and finish. EJ (CSO), Ryan (CMO): I am fed up with false promises. My main issue is you guys are not communicating and even communicate, you guys don't stick to your commitments. I had to reach out multiple times. My Son's birthday is in October and I am wondering if project is even going to start until then. I want my money back. Biggest regret of my life to go with ADHR. Local contractors are much faster and accountable. Since I gave this project, 3 other contractor's finished some other projects and this guys just did footer concrete. Also messed-up my backyard patio. Cracks at 2-3 places, dirt sports because of debris lying for 2 months.

We had some rotted boards they replaced and then we realized our deck was warping and luckily they realized our 2 main 6"x6" posts had rotted. They sheet rocked the walls and ceiling and painted and put up mouldings and installed flooring. This looks beautiful and has really added value to our home. Alex and Jacob worked long and hard on all these projects over a few months. They really know what they were doing. We would HIGHLY recommend Appalachian Construction and Handyman.
