I would give them a zero if I could. I made an appointment for a full event make up online, which is how they transact their business. I received an email reminder & a text about my upcoming appointment, which gave me the impression that they were professional. BUT no, on the day of my wedding, I get a call 3 hours before my appointment, saying that they have to cancel it because the make-up artist is sick. They did not have a back-up artist. How utterly unprofessional. I was distraught! No make up artist on my wedding day! If you have an important event, make sure you have back up because Glow studios will NOT accommodate or help you. They'll drop you like a hot potato. read more

I have been to GLOW studios twice now for massage treatments. Both times were for 60 minutes with Liz Kurilla. The salon is fresh and new and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The massage and treatment rooms are at the back of the salon, in a more private area. The calming sounds, lighting and temperature all create a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The massage bed was very soft, comfy and adjustable. The best part though was the massage itself! Liz was able to relieve every bit of tension and ache in my shoulders and back with the right amount of pressure and without the pain. She did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed while getting deep into my trouble spots. I prefer a bit of pressure and Liz was attentive and able to provide the perfect amount needed! I always leave GLOW feeling refreshed and tension free! I would highly recommend GLOW studios for massage treatments. I haven't tried their other services yet but with the level of quality service I have received I will definitely be back for more! read more

I have to give such a huge shoutout to Emily Pino at Glow. Id been less than impressed with my current stylist and found Glow doing a quick internet search. Emily listened to everything I said and managed to decipher through what I sorta like, sorta dont like, sorta kinda like...basically listen to a customer who has no clue what she wants and come up with perfect color. Go see Samantha!!!! She's the best! I go to her for a dye and cut. She always gets my color exactly how I'd like it. I normally like it simple and the color to match my roots to remove the greys. she matches it like a magician EVERY TIME! She is literally Magical. If you are feeling adventurous, she can do that too! One day I brought in pics of a crazy Balayage I wanted and she matched it no problem! She is also a pro at waxing. I get my brows done while there and she does an amazing job. I normally hate getting my hair done but with Samantha, the time flies by and before you know it you've made a new friend and leave looking fantastic!! read more

So much to write because I've tried almost every service and I'm convinced this IS the best salon/spa I have ever been to! I started out going to Kristen S when she was in her home and and continued to see her when she opened GLOWStudios in Ashburn. Kristen is hands down the best hair stylist, colorist, shampooer, blow drier, tape in extension specialist, etc...that I have ever encountered. Not only is she great at everything she does, she is just plain wonderful! Now, on to Liz. Liz gives THE BEST massages on Earth! She truly listens to your needs and concerns and delivers the most relaxing experience-Ever! She is easy to talk to and makes you feel so comfortable. Lastly, Laura. Because of Laura, I received the very first compliment about my skin, and it was from all people, my husband! I have very problematic skin, cystic acne, clogged pores from wearing too much makeup, and the list could go on and on. Somehow, since my facial I feel like every day is a good skin day. Since moving here 18 months ago, I have bounced around from salon to salon hoping to find a place to call "my salon." I thought that happened twice...but I was wrong. I stumbled upon Glow Studios and it was the best decision I've made so far. When you are not from this area, it can be hard to find good places with good service, good quality and good people. Glow Studios is truly a hidden gem. The place is very farmhouse chic which is so "in." The salon is clean, upbeat and very welcoming and cozy. The only downside, if you can call it a downside, is the business has exploded. It's almost like they need to move to a bigger salon due to how popular it is. To be honest, I am one of those people who looove highlights and hair cut when I leave the salon -- you know when it look amazing blown out -- and then a few days later when I have to style it myself I find it just doesn't look the same. This is NOT one of those times! I saw Sam a week or so ago and I still love my highlights and cut!! With homecoming weekend rapidly approaching, I needed a salon that I could trust to help my daughter, Sofia, by giving her a new look for her first high school dance. After an internet search, and speaking with friendly staff members like Kelly on the phone. We set the appointment, and although they were booked solid, they agreed to fit us in. OMG!!! We will never go anywhere else again! From the warm greeting and reception to the level of service, these girls are top notch. Sofia walked out looking like a movie star. Emily got her started, and then Andrea gave her the updo of a lifetime. The complete staff was a breath of fresh air, and we appreciate how special they made us feel by being a big part of a special day. Sofia was so excited that she immediately began posting on Instagram. I'm sure that GLOW will be talked about a lot tonight as there were many other girls in the salon who received the same super treatment including a bunch of eyebrow waxes! We will do our best to promote their business and watch it grow. They do it right, and all the other salons should take notice and watch out! read more
