I felt like there was little regard to a peaceful environment as the aesthetician was having a conversation with somebody during the service. There was not enough set up in terms of preventing my clothing from getting stained or removing my jewelry, she just did the mask around it, and when I left, I had a lot of mask still on my shoulders and in my ears. There were several points in the service where product would get into my eyes and burn, and caused blurry vision. I personally felt like the extractions were not done well, and one of the holes in my skin will scar. I would not recommend and I will not be returning.

I don't have severe acne, but it got to the point where I would be so self conscious a lot of days leaving the house was a task. Just a few months later my skin has done a complete 180 and I am so glad I came to her. She really takes her time to asses your skin on a personal basis and works her magic. I have done chemical peels, RF facials, red light therapy, and more. I also started using the brand she uses in the spa at home. It is pricey, but for me this had been a priceless experience and I am excited for it to get even better. Book an appointment!!! You won't regret it. :)

I often get asked why I would still drive to Hoboken when there are so many great salons and spas in NYC and I can truly say it's because of the team. Of course the studio is clean, relaxing and beautiful - that's a given in today's beauty industry and what we've come to expect and demand - but the team is so professional, knowledgeable and beyond skilled, and that's the difference. In addition to having a talented and educated staff, Skin by EC offers a wide range of treatment options that have completely changed my body and skin. (All I can say is ask about the venus legacy for cellulite reduction. It has changed my life and I've gone from not wanting to wear shorts to loving my legs again - thank you!!!) With that said, I would like to acknowledge Maggie. She has completely transformed my skin and body and I am so grateful I found her. Her love for what she does radiates through her work and her positive energy makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She is so clean, knowledgeable and friendly, and I trust her recommendations because of how skilled she is. I also appreciate all the little extra things she does during my treatments to make my experience a 15/10. In today's environment, it's tough to find people that truly care about their clients and their profession and Maggie is that person. She's one in a million.

I came back to her this year after losing my confidence a bit with my appearance. My skin was a disaster. After three monthly facials, I am over the moon to see my results. She helped address all of my concerns. Hormonal acne, blackheads, congestion. I am starting to feel like myself again. She is profoundly informative and thoughtful. I trust her 100% with my face and I'm so thankful for her help. I have seen Erica for microneedling and I was also thrilled with the decrease of my scarring. It's probably to come see her again soon! Thank you again Oana and EC Beauty!

I made it there at 2:06 and was refused service--one minute past the cutoff they gave me. I understand lateness policies, but basic courtesy shouldn't disappear. The interaction was dismissive, arrogant and the way I was asked to leave felt appalling. I saw other customers receiving more considerate treatment, while I felt dismissed and unwelcome. I can't know the motivations, but the contrast felt discriminatory and left me questioning fairness. This is not about expecting an exception--it's about how I was treated after communicating in good faith. Management should ensure consistent courtesy and respectful treatment for every client. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location. At minimum, I should have been treated with basic dignity.

Hindsight, I should've shipped it to my home. But it all worked out anyway! TJ, the manager went above and beyond for my situation. I am so thankful for her! There was an issue where ups was delivering to their neighbor and the neighbor is stealing packages instead of returning them to the store. What a horrible human. Long story short- I didn't receive my sunscreen but TJ made it right. She made sure I got the second one she ordered in a gift box and a gift card for my troubles. She also brought it to me at work which was above and beyond. She is wonderful!! And she spoke to ups about the problem so now hopefully it gets resolved and no one else has to deal with the package thief next to BlueMercury. Great experience! I will definitely be back to this location because of TJ. Can't say enough good things! I'm even more happy because I love this sunscreen. :)
