The onus, instead, should be on the medical support staff to let folks know when the doctors and staff are running behind. I voiced this complaint three times while there, and I was told twice that there is no system in place for letting folks know when things are running behind. The office manager said there was a process and that they would do retraining. I went for a second opinion to Westlake Dermatology, and that practice knocked my socks off. If your insurance covers both as mine does, I would definitely go to the competitor.

I had always been more than satisfied with the treatment I received in his office. Unfortunately, since becoming part of US Dermatology, that has changed significantly! It is impossible to get anyone to answer the phone; you leave a message on the phone or online, it is weeks before anyone calls back. They are not interested in service to the patients at all. I called them a month ago and they called me back just now saying they could book me for April. In the meantime, after my frustration, I called Westlake Dermatology, had an appointment a week later, have had two biopsies and will be having Mohs surgery in March. All of this before I could even get in to see Dr. Sander. When US Dermatology called me today to schedule, I told him I would no longer be going to that practice and they basically said "we don't care," and hung up. Dr. Sander needs to have a more accommodating and caring office staff. Not sure if this is his fault or the fact that he is now part of a big organization, but it is not acceptable.
