I took my boyfriend and daughter for pedicures, for what was suppose to be some fun quality time, since we don't get this time together often. When we walked in, the hostess wasn't very kind. No smiles and no welcome, just a "Hi, what are you here for, ok, sign in". And, literally just walks away. The space looked nice & modern. I honestly thought that we could move beyond this if the service was good. Well, unfortunately, we just kept getting let down. We were the very first customers there, as it was early, and almost felt like we were imposing, when we were THEIR guests/customers. Needless to say, multiple toes were cut from rough handling and one even bled, paint jobs were not good at all, and my daughter picked multiple colors that weren't available due to them being dried out. They even hurt her little 6 yr old toes. She comes with me to Temecula for pedicures, when we have the time, with beautiful experiences, and we have never had any issues with her. Not to further nitpick, but the music was so loud & not a relaxing mix, which was the least of our concerns. It just added to everything. So, to sum things up, I am from the tipping industry. I lived off of tips for the majority of my life, so I honestly respect tipping and understand the importance & purpose of it. Our experience from start to finish was so so bad. $95 later, which is a normal rate, I honestly felt that my normal $25 tip & sometimes more, depending on the financial month, lol, wasn't deserved. I always happily go in expecting to tip & expecting to spend. Today was not it. As I paid the tab, I unfortunately felt compelled to only tip $12 for all, which I know is super minimal. Believe me, I am fully aware. Do you know what the hostess did? She looked me straight in the face & said, "This is it for 3 people?" I couldn't believe it. I would have tipped my usual over 20% if the pedicures were at least good, without bleeding, bad energy & horrible customer service etc... But, the nerve of this woman to not only be rude from the start, but then try to call us out at the end? I'm appalled! And again, I'm truly a believer that Tips are EARNED! They are not required. I believe in tipping and tipping well. Moral of the story: I will never set foot in this establishment again, nor should you, and I'm actually sad that this was our experience, so close to home.

The salon was very clean and fresh inside with comfy pedi chairs, staff greeted me quickly, I got sat in maybe 5 minutes which was great since I did a walk-in. Also, my 3yr old daughter was with me and the tech got her comfy next to me which I loved. I had an image of a crisp, squared & thick french tip (gel) with acrylic on both big toes only and the nail tech "T" delivered just that. I showed her a inspo picture and she did them just how I wanted. This will now be my go to nail salon and I will definitely try their hand acyclic full sets in the future as well!

Update on my second visit:…read more Unfortunately, the service was not great this time around. I arrived at 11:00 a.m. and asked if I could get my Gel X nails cut down and have the polish changed. I was told yes, that the wait would be about 15 minutes, and that the total would be $40. $35 for the polish change and $5 for the nail cut. I was a bit shocked by the pricing, but I agreed and waited. Fifteen minutes later, they walked me over to pick out a color and told me to wait for my technician. Twenty minutes passed, and still no technician. The front staff checked in with me and explained there had been some confusion and that no technician was currently available, but that it would only be a few more minutes. Ten minutes later, the technician finally arrived. She began drilling off my gel polish, and there were a couple of moments where the drill burned because she seemed to be rushing through the process. Once the removal was finished, she asked if I wanted my nails cut down. At that point, I was a little taken aback because this was now the third time I had explained the services I wanted. It wasn't necessarily her fault, but the whole experience felt very unorganized. She cut my nails, and initially I didn't mind that they weren't symmetrical because I assumed the shaping process would fix it. Boy, was I wrong. As she continued shaping, I noticed several nails had visible slants (pictures provided). I brought it to her attention, and while she attempted to correct them, there was very little effort. After repeating the same concern multiple times, I eventually gave up because I was tired of having to keep asking. She then applied the polish, and things seemed okay until I noticed inconsistencies in the application. She mainly focused on the top portion of the nail and neglected the sides. I mentioned it a couple of times, and she would briefly go back to "fix" it. At the very end, my left pointer finger was missing polish in the bottom right corner of the nail. When I pointed it out and asked if she could fix it, she simply brushed polish over the corner without blending it properly, leaving behind a very noticeable streak and then considered the job complete. HOW?? At that point, I was completely fed up. I paid the $40, and then the receptionist asked, "No tip?" even though I had already tipped the technician $5 in cash. Honestly, I felt like I had already over-tipped considering the experience. I closed out my check and left. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I'll be finding another nail salon moving forward.

Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! What should have been a simple gel pedicure ended with me being cut. I've had many pedicures over the years and have never been injured like this before. Halfway through, I was handed off to another person to complete the service, which made the experience feel rushed and impersonal. The overall atmosphere could also use some improvement. I love kids, and I completely understand that life happens, but when I go to get a pedicure, manicure, or any other relaxing service, I expect a calm and professional environment. During my visit, children were in the salon opening and spilling nail supplies, which made the experience feel chaotic rather than relaxing. In my opinion, that isn't the level of professionalism I was expecting. I was really hoping to find a salon close to home that provided quality service, but this experience was very disappointing.
