Been going here for years. Great place with great people. Very caring and talented stylists. Danielle listens and so incredible at what she does. Natalie is the best at men's haircuts as well. My husband has never had someone cut his hair as well as she does. You will not be disappointed. read more

Ruby was my stylist and she did a fantastic job cutting my hair. My hair is really annoying, and she was so upbeat and patient the entire time. It was clear that customer satisfaction was important to her. She was frequently asking how everything was looking and I felt comfortable asking for what I wanted. Highly recommend!! read more

The best Salon I have been to in years! Ella is a wonderful hairstylist. She listens to her clients wants and needs and does a great job at looking at hairstyle photos and applying them to her clients type of hair! I always come home extremely happy with my hairstyle! This salon is all inclusive, manicures, pedicures, waxing for eyebrows etc... it is always a pleasure to visit this salon! Can't wait until they reopen after this whole c-19 pandemic blows over and our counties open back up! I really NEED a haircut! read more

Saw the Living Social Deal for Gloss Salon and thought to myself, this is good and could be a great deal if the services provided are professional and a job well done. The other cool thing about the Living Social deal was there was no limit to the number you could buy. So I made the HUGE MISTAKE of purchasing 4 vouchers. The first time I went in and met with the owner Ella, she was nice enough and did my hair, the color was not what I asked for, however I will say it was close and the cut was fair. But I had 3 more vouchers to use, so I thought what the heck, perhaps she just needs to get the feel of how my hair responds to color and cutting. I am an optimist, but in this case I was overly optimistic. When I left the Salon, I shared with Ella that I was glad that I had three (3) more vouchers to use and was looking forward to a working relationship with her, once again I was just too optimistic. I made my my next appointment letting Ella know that I would be using my Living Social Voucher. This appointment was extremely important as it was my big 50th birthday, so I added additional services for an up-do, as I was having a big cocktail party in the evening. When I arrived for my second appointment, Ella informed that I had better not be planning to use my Living Social voucher as I had to gift the other three I purchased. I was completely taken aback and was shocked at her outright hostility. Apparently Ella did not want to honor multiple vouchers and had decided that for those us such as myself, she could bully people in to paying cash on second and subsequent visits and have these same folks subject their family or friends to tacky and unprofessional behavior by gifting any additional vouchers. When I attempted to explain to Ella, that there was no limit on the amount of vouchers to be purchased she became loud and aggressive, mind you all this behavior was in front of another client, ouch! Anyone who uses Living Social or Goupon knows that if you can only purchase one voucher, the websites are set up to only let you purchase one. When I explained this to Ella, she insisted I was wrong and I had to give away my other vouchers as after all, how was she going to make any money, and although she knew at the time that I had made my second appointment that she had no intention of honoring my second voucher, she waited until I arrived for my second appointment. Apparently in order to blindside me, knowing that on a Saturday afternoon I would be stuck for going somewhere else. Especially since it was my birthday and I had a huge cocktail party to attend that evening. Ella even rudely informed me that it was not her job to teach me how Living Social works. I left, I would not give her a dime of my money and YOU SHOULD NOT EITHER, but here is the real clencher. When I called Living Social to get my money back, THEY SAID THEY HAD BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS MERCHANT. That certainly says it all right there. The good thing is I found a salon to go to, they got my hair color right and they cut it beautifully and did my up-do. Thank god for Nichole at Elite Salon! Nichole is my niece's stylist, and although Nichole was off that Saturday, she came in to to do my hair and saved the day for me. Buyer Beware certainly holds true when it comes to Gloss Salon! read more

I recently lost my hairstylist of many years, most of my adult life, who had been the only person I trusted with my hair! I was so anxious to trust someone new, I discovered Ella and amazingly she fit me in for the first time in December, even though being very busy with holiday clients! I tried to not expect too much since it is so hard to find a new stylist, and often takes some frustrating trial and error. I was pleasantly surprised at how fantastic she did, and over a month later I still am so pleased with how she did on our first appointment together! I go back to see her this week to do more, and I am so excited! I am so grateful I've found someone professional who I can trust, is very knowledgeable and talented, and whom I would recommend to anyone!!! go see Ella! You won't be disappointed read more

Ella is fantastic - very skilled, friendly and quick and she is great about getting me in at the last minute. I love going to her for a blow dry - I have very long, thick, curly hair and I am in and out of there in less than an hour, which is no small task. Very highly recommend this salon!! read more

I purchased the groupon offer yesterday hoping to get into the salon this weekend. On such short notice, Ella was not available, however Anne had an opening. I haven't had a good haircut/color in probably two years, so I was a little nervous going to someone without any info on them. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. Anne was awesome. I have been wanting to go back to blonde for some time now and I could not have asked for my color to have turned out any better. I showed Anne a picture of what I wanted and I feel like she did exactly what I asked for. I couldn't be happier and will definitely be going back to Gloss. read more

Adorable salon! Ella is great at what she does and makes my hair look fabulous every time! Highly recommended:).

Don't waste your time trying to get in here. I called and left voicemails over the course of two weeks asking for a call back and never once received a return phone call even when I had already paid for my hair. On her voicemail it also said that she was booked out over 5 weeks in advance. Very poor customer service. I would go somewhere else. read more

I've been coming here to see Ella for several years for color and cuts. Love her expertise and laid back style. She also makes great suggestions. She is the kind of stylist you can make comments to or even critique something and she isn't easily offended. But, I always leave happy! Danielle is also great. I've seen her for straightening and she shares Ella's work ethic. They both take care of their clients. It is always fun going there. A nice shop and nice stylists! read more

Danielle is a hair GODDESS!!! I've been going to her for about 5 years now and the fact that I have hair on my head is a testament to how great she is. She has brought my hair back to life after numerous dumb decisions (bottle dye, Supercuts hacker, a perm!!!!) and she always knows exactly what my hair needs. I go to her for everything and she can do everything (beautiful color, extensions, great cuts). She also has a fantastic, fun personality to boot. Ella, the owner, is also a total sweetheart. When I go to gloss I feel like I am visiting old friends, and I emerge with new and better-looking hair every time. GO TO GLOSS, NOW! YOU SERIOUSLY CANNOT GO WRONG!!! read more

I finally have the hair I have always wanted! After my favorite stylist moved out of state last year, I bounced around from salon to salon trying to find the right fit. I have found it in Ella at Gloss Salon! Ella was professional, friendly, and quickly worked her magic to turn my drab, dull blonde locks into shiny, full, golden tresses. The salon itself is clean and modern, but not at all intimidating. I will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely LOVE Danielle! I came in with a groupon for my first visit. I wanted to finally dye my hair. I was super nervous but excited all at once. Danielle sat down with me and looked at a few pictures of a color I loved. She then went and grabbed her color book and we worked out the color. She told me what to expect After a few weeks and gradually where the color would fade to. She was so patient with me and in NO RUSH! I loved that! After all I was going from a brunette to a red/violet. After she dyed my hair and then cut it I was in love! She is my go to girl now. I have always been one to only get my hair cut like twice a year. Now my hair has had more attention then ever with her. Because of all this attention I get compliments constantly on my hair. Not only is she super informative but they also sell THE BEST products. I am so happy with her that I will continue to drive the 30min hwy drive it takes to see her :). She is worth it!! Ella and Ruby gave my hair a full on make over! They collaborated together after consulting with me regarding my vision/dream hair. I am 1000000% elated with the results!! They also curled it at the end and I adored it!! Will def come again read more

Ella at Gloss Salon is not only a great stylist but a great colorist as well! I saw this salon in the "top best in the Sacramento area" about two weeks ago in the Sacramento News and Review so; naturally I just had to check it out. I called on Tuesday and set up an appointment for today with Ella. I needed a cut, color and was debating on some highlights. When I arrived I was greeted by a delightful receptionist who offered to start me off with a hot cup of Vanilla coffee from thier keurig. Yum! The salon has a light relaxing feel to it. The ladies were fun, has good conversation and not catty like other salons I have been to. It is also reasonably priced. Ella listened attentively as I expressed my uncertainties about highlights. I've seen so many ladies with beautiful hair and after highlights their hair looks awfully damaged. She explained to me that the way highlights are placed and the amount of time the beach is on your hair is an art and she could make them look great. I ended up trusting her;I went with highlights and my hair looks absolutely vibrant. Ella is very creative, listened to what I wanted, and delivered 100%! I see why this salon made the paper. I will be going back to get a color freshen up. I defiantly enjoyed my experience with this salon and will recommend it to friends, family, and Yelp! read more
