Long story short, the guy in the Bay highlighted my entire head in bleach, burned off pieces of my hair underneath (I have thick hair thank god), and after growing it out for so long, my hair was super uneven, thin at the bottom, and the bleach parts refused to ever curl. My hair looked crazy unless I styled it-- the new growth being curly and the old hair lying pin straight. I couldn't take it anymore. I found all the lovely reviews on Tanya and decided to give it a shot since I just moved to the Roseville area. Let me tell you, she did a FANTASTIC job! I haven't had short-ish hair for many, many years and was terrified to cut it. She took my face shape and structure into account and landed on a cut that would complement me, which it clearly does since everyone compliments my hair now and tells me how cute it looks. At the salon, I am a licensed cosmetologist (though I don't cut hair), and I felt I was met with attitude when concerns were raised. My daughter did not allow much heat styling, but once we got home, the cut was clearly very poorly blended, with thick, heavy front pieces. She was extremely upset and missed school the next day because of it. We were unable to get a correction due to the holiday weekend and had to seek another stylist.
