Absolutely love Gloss! I had never thought I could have long nails before going to gloss. I had been getting gel x for a while here in order to have longer nails as mine are thin and always rip no matter what I do. Since I don't like them too long they suggested trying hard gel as it strengthens the nail but isn't putting a fake nail on top like the gel x. It's amazing! My nails don't tear anymore and I have been able to grow them naturally to the length I like through getting hard gel. And when I was getting the gel x this place was a step above the rest! I went to another salon to get a new set and they started coming off within a week! Not at gloss. Long lasting and absolutely beautiful! The work they do is top notch and the space is beautiful and relaxing as well! read more

Scheduled an appointment for a gel manicure with art at 11am over the phone the day prior. When I arrived I asked if they would had an availability for a pedicure. Was told no problem and escorted to Mimi. Had a pedicure with Mimi and it was great. 5 stars. Noon rolls around and I finished my pedicure. Then I get moved to the table to start my manicure. Natalie is the person assigned to do my manicure and nail art. I have pretty thin nails so I just mentioned that to her so that she was aware as she is drilling down my old gel polish with her machine. Had to stop 1-2 since it started to feel hot. Nothing major. Honestly, something that happens often. From the start the process everything seemed rushed. It honestly felt like she had a timer. Not to mention a total lack of attention to detail and quite sloppy. Pulls out the cotton balls and lightly soaks them in acetone and balances it on each of my fingernails. Zero foil to wrap around my individual fingers and the cotton ball. No, I was left to balance the cotton ball on each individual finger. Making it virtually impossible to move my hand. Talk about lazy and rushed. Removes it and places it next to the dirty workspace with someone else's nail clippings. YUCK. And then reuses it and slaps it on the next hand. Repeat. Ok, not feeling great at this point. Natalie than half removes my gel nail polish, pulls out the UV machine and starts applying the new color. I stop her and go "wait why are you applying new color over old semi removed/cracked old gel"? Annoyed she says "oh you said your nails are thin so didn't want to hurt you". Thanks for the consideration but you didn't even ask me if that was ok. Never been to a nail salon that does that. Annoyed she proceeds to remove all the nail polish. Nail polish removed she starts to apply the new nail polish. Wait I asked her "Are you not going to cute/file/shape the nail?" Her response is "no" Ugh. I had asked her to cut my nails at the beginning at the process. Request is ignored and she is annoyed that I'm asking her to do that service. Pretty common part about getting a manicure. Also no cuticle remover either. Apparently that is done after nail polish has been applied? Again, never been to a salon that does that. Obviously, she is just wanting to finish the job as quick as possible. And avoiding steps in the process. I'm so uncomfortable at this point. I asked her if she was in a rush because she obviously seemed like that from the start. She goes "No"and just stares at me. I ask again. She stands up and snaps "do you want someone else to do you nails"? I responsed yes and she storms off. The receptionist comes up a few mins later to talk to me. Basically her response was time was limited and she was the only one available. I reminded her my appointment was at 11 and I had been there for this particular service. Her responses was "but you got a pedicure". Listen I understand, I added a service and that can complicate the process. But she didn't mentioned it would be an issue. I tried to explain but at that point we were talking in circles with no resolution. Making it seem like it was my fault bc I got a pedicure. Ok whatever. She did offer for me to wait for someone else to become available later to finish the job. I was over being there to be honest. The whole experience was just so uncomfortable and honestly the worst experice I've ever had at a nail salon. read more

Has been my go to spot! They tend to be busy so I recommend to call ahead and set up an appointment. They technicians are really sweet and amazing artists. My January set had a lot of detail so I was worried that the technician won't be able to make it look like the picture inspiration. Well Natalie exceeded my expectations because they came out even better. For my February set I had Ashley. She did an amazing job! I showed her a picture and it came out better than the photo. I would not recommend the service here. I came in looking for someone to do a jade marble look (see reference photo) but i came out looking like my nails were stained by grass. I wish they would just tell me that they couldn't do it instead of attempting to do it. It looks nothing like it. To top it off she talked shit about me and said u didn't have money which is so far from the truth and so rude to say to your customer. Diana was so rough with my nails and filed my existing nails off instead of letting them soak off like other salons do. I have never ever had my gel taken completely off by a hard drill before. She also rushed through my cuticles and cut it so roughly. This place feels like a factory and there's very little attention to your care. I think you should avoid this factory at all costs. I am not someone who would usually say anything at a nail salon but this place did such a poor job I had to. read more

I requested an acrylic fill with gel polish and a pedicure with gel, paid $120 plus tip $25 plus repair $25 and they didn't repair toes. Garbage.... I don't want to blame the work so much on the tech Ashley and Kaylee , although they are trained to work like hurricanes. I say this because what normally takes a good two hours of relaxation, this work was done in 45 minutes. It was 45 min of at least 20 technicians working and speaking to one another in Vietnamese and laughing obnoxiously with one another while paying clients just looked at one another and rolled their eyes at one another apparently annoyed , me included. But let just say that's the vibe at most shops. But what really petered me was the quality of nail polishes, I got my nails done Friday the 13th of October, by October 17th my nail polish began to bubble and feel sticky , I called them so they could redo the color , I asked if I could do a French tip and I would pay. Tech told me it would be $15 dollars only due to the polish being not dried correctly at first . I agreed and moved forward. As I left to pay the cashier lady told me it would cost $25 because of the color change ???? I was puzzled and disagreed with her and she proceeded to say sorry that's the way it was. I paid and sadly I didn't tip the tech because I felt overcharged. I really hope she gave the tech who did my French tips a percentage .... Sick of these money hungry techs who buy cheap products to make an extra buck, and they have a ring full of zelle and Venmo information for every tech used for separate tipping, or you can "pay cash." Going home to my Las Vegas tech who is amazing and never leaves me unsatisfied. read more

**UPDATE** I'm seeing that my latest experience here is not an isolated incident. I used to look forward to coming here and getting my nails done and have referred several coworkers to come here--but this time I left disappointed. My usual nail tech, Kevin, does not work here anymore and when I made an appointment for my GelX and asked who would be doing them they stated they would assign someone that same day. That worried me from the start, but I've had so many good experiences here I thought I'd risk it. My nail techs for the GelX and pedi were super sweet but I hate my nails--they are thick and curved and way longer than I wanted/showed in the picture. My cousin said they looked like cherry tomatoes (haha). I might try to go to the Silverlake location and try my luck again but this was a waste of time and money. read more

I have been a customer of their Silverlake location for a long time. I really wanted to love this location since it's much closer to where I live. I was disappointed. I had an appointment and ended up waiting 30 minutes before someone got started. It felt rushed. I asked for slightly round nail shape and ended up with squared edges. The nail polish was streaky. She noticed it and did a 3rd coat only on two of my nails, but left the rest streaky?!! They do have a wide regular nail and gel polish selection. I will not return to this location. read more

My service was so quick but in an efficient way, not at all rushed, and it was mesmerizing to see such a unique and complex nail design come together so quickly & perfectly. I came in with a picture of the style of design I wanted, but asked my technician to match the colors to the colors on the cover of one of my favorite books. They did an amazing job, and mixed the colors right in front of me on a palette and even used gold foil to get the gold just right. I've been here on 3 occasions to get a dip manicure and a delux pedicure. Every time the dip manicure has chipped within 24 hours. After my 3rd appointment I can back in the following day to complain and get a repair. They reluctantly fixed one nail, but with a terrible attitude and a poor quality repair. I came back again 2 days later as more were chipping and they refused to re-do the manicure, even though they told me they would if it happened again. Recently, I needed to get my nails done last minute (as well as a pedicure since my go-to nail tech only does nails) so I decided to give Gloss Nails Spa a chance! I'll break it down in sections: Salon: - All techs and clients are required to wear masks. The first door said they check temperatures but I didn't get mine checked so maybe they stopped doing that (if so, they should probably update their sign) - All nail desks and pedicure chairs have clear barriers in between. - I felt safe being here, which was a huge plus for me! Improvement: - The front desk answered all their appointment calls via speaker phone that was ruining the "vibe" of feeling relaxed when getting my nails done. Not sure if this is an everyday thing but something I personally feel should be done aloud because it was a bit distracting. - My nail tech (Natalie) was good, not great. I did want a specific design and she did her best to re-create it. I liked my nails, I just didn't LOVE them. - My pedicure lady was great!! Overall, it was a good experience...especially if you're pressed with time and just need to get your nails done ASAP. Gel mani came out to $50. Regular Pedicure came out to $25. Total of $75! I called and had an appointment to fix them yesterday however, I decided not to go back as they "fixed" my friends nails and left them the same. I made an appointment last weekend for a dipped mani/regular pedi. The studio was clean, and I appreciated the steps taken towards being covid safe. Everyone was masked, my temp was taken, and I was politely asked to wash my hands before browsing colors. I appreciate a business owner that cares about client experience and is willing to take steps to remedy a negative one. I had my manicure redone by Jane and it was great! Truly like night and day. I had the exact same manicure done and the results were so different (this time much better). Jane was friendly and was gentle while removing my previous manicure. The owner checked in to see how things were going and was very friendly as well. The manicure itself is beautiful. My biggest complaint with the last one was how thick & blob-y it appeared, changing the shape and of my nails. This time my nails feel delicate and natural. I made an appointment the day before for a 1:00 mani/pedi with a friend. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated about 5 minutes after arriving. They have a very wide range of nail polish colors from various brands. I ended up choosing a bright pink Zoya polish. The pedicure chairs were very large, the staff was so kind and efficient. They made sure to ask my preferences for everything from massage pressure, nail shape, and polish color. I told my nail technician that it was my first time back since the pandemic began and that I wanted a super thorough pedicure so she told me about their deluxe offerings and was very transparent about the pricing because I asked for a callous removal as well. Now sitting at home I'm so happy with my nails, my arms and hands feel so soft and I'm so excited to go back and probably do the deluxe again. I really like this place. I've come twice this month because they are very professional, efficient, and they do a nice job. The nail technicians that have serviced my nails thus far have always been very friendly. My dip pedicure this past time with Lisa is a much higher quality than the first one I got, but I wasn't dissatisfied with either. My pedicure looks great as well. You can pay with card but they have Venmo or cash for tip, which I find extremely convenient. I love Venmo. What a great idea. This salon is cute, relaxing, and they do a nice job! Meanwhile, my nails started chipping off yesterday, a week and a day later. I called today to ask if they could fix the four nails that have chipped.
