Visited with several friends Friday February 7th. We were there at prime time in the evening and only had a wait of twenty minutes which we spent playing a game of bean bag! A fun feature the restaurant has next to the front entrance to make the wait time fly by. Not the first time I have eaten there and the food is always superb. Wow! We had never been to a Glory Days Grill and my expectations were minimal, but we were both amazed by our first visit. We went on a Wednesday early evening and the place was really busy but we found room at the bar. My husband had the meatloaf which he loved, and I tried the GDG Crave A Bowl with burrata rice, feta, cucumbers, chick peas... it was AWESOME! Will definitely have that again. Hello .. from "The Restaurant Guy" ... former owner of The Chart Room, Cincinnati Ohio. This place, GLORY DAYS, may turn out to be the gem of Citrus county as far as restaurants go. I say that based on an overall presentation by the restaurant itself, the wait staff, the menu, the food and the service. Plus their weekly specials! We waited until things settle down after their grand opening, and it looks like we waited too long. It was one of the most enjoyable casual dining experiences we've had in a long time. I am now recommending it to everyone. Especially veterans and first responders, since they are offered an extremely generous 25% discount. This restaurant is new, but it's very spacious, extremely clean, the wait staff looks young, yet very attentive and knowledgeable. We couldn't help but be impressed by the menu. Take your time and look it over because it's going to be hard to make your first choice, and you'll leave after taking notes of what other days and for what other restaurant items you will be returning! Very fair prices, very good food and presentation. Even the water was excellent! Fair happy hour prices are constantly offered. Not one single solitary complaint. Had a wonderful lunch at our new Glory Days restaurant! Our waitress Emily was friendly and very attentive, never had to ask for a refill on my ice tea, she was on top of it. My Buffalo Chicken sandwich was delicious and the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings were AMAZING! Will be back! read more

Love the GDG Bowls. Love their understanding on Food Allergy (gluten). Love the military discount. Staff is well trained. What I don't like is how COLD they keep this place. Look around and you will see many seniors with coats, sweaters and hats because it's way too cold. We love eating there and we love to leave for the hot temperature outside. Being in the foodservice industry for decades, I can say this. The food was delicious. As for getting said food, (we sat at the bar), was another story. Though the ladies behind the bar were polite, they obviously lacked standard bartending skills. My wife and I got our menus, had 2 beers. We sat the menus on the tender side of the bar so they would know we were ready to order. It took 10 minutes for me to finally say, "hello..we're ready to order" We placed our order, specifically asked details about my order to make sure it came out as it should. Only one meal came out. We had to ask for silverware. After I almost helped my wife eat her entire plate of wings, I asked the girl if my sandwich was on it's way. She said "oh yeah, just a few more minutes ". We'll being around the business for a minute, I saw her rush to the kitchen. She obviously forgot to order my sandwich and put the "on the fly" to the kitchen. My next beer was on the house because she realized an error on their part. Nice. I appreciate that she addressed the issue Good..right? Not exactly My food came and it was delicious. Even after we had to ask for condiments, salt pepper ketchup etc..some slack service, I was satisfied. Now..get this. We asked for a box for our leftovers, got it, and our bill. Our bill fold, with our card sat in front of them for another 10 minutes or so before I again called her attention. Listen..not a horrible experience, but there is obviously some lack of simple standard here. We saw other folks alot less satisfied than we were, and we are gracious in the knowledge the business. It's very simple here. There is NO good management as far as we see. There are too many inexperienced people working this joint with no management skill backing them. My boyfriend and I stopped by there last Saturday night for dinner. This was our first time. It was later so the place was not crowded. My boyfriend got boneless wings and they were horrible maybe liked they were cooked hours ago and have been sitting. They were brought to the table like someone threw them on a plate no presentation at all I ordered the smothered chicken a recommendation by the waitress. It was ok the chicken was not very hot the cheese was barely melted. My mashed potatoes were cold. Overall it's a nice place inside and may be a great place to watch a game. It was our first time here at Glory Days in Lecanto Fl. Our server was great. Her name is Chelsea P. Very sweet and helpful. We had a Philly cheesesteak and wings, and an app of fried Mac n cheese. The Philly came with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, which I found bizarre, so I had them take it off so it was just extra cheese, onions, and meat. It was very good! My fiancé liked his wings. The app was good but not fantastic. We also had chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The cake was huge and delicious, but just wished they gave more ice cream. We only got one small scoop. It wasn't enough for the size of the cake. The ambience was nice, a lot of tables and tv's. One manager kind of annoyed us because she passed our table a few times and acknowledged the table behind us and in front of us. She did say "you ok?" once, but didn't even stop. That was the only negative. We definitely would go back to try different foods. The menu is diverse and there's a lot to pick from. read more

Things seeming to going downhill here after a couple of excellent experiences in the first couple of months. Part of the problem is they seem insistant at keeping the thermostat at 68 degrees when it is 93 outside. Three of the four of us had cold dinners by the time they arrived at the table. Food quality also seems to be going south. Deep fried items overcooked and Cole slaw with a strange taste, combined with a 45 minute plus wait for entrees makes me question whether we will be returning very often. read more

What happened to this place? First few visits were great. Now, not enough wait staff, extreme wait time for food, cold food, undercooked burgers. They advertise a discount for veterans and first responders but when asked, said no they don't do that. Glory Days has only been open for 3 days at the time of this review. We weren't expecting it to be very good, because it's brand new. WE WERE WRONG!!! Pleasantly, pleasantly wrong! It was fantastic! The service was incredibly good! The drinks were fantastic (we had the regular house margarita (only $6) and it was huge - and it was great --- and it came FAST! We ordered the boneless wings as a starter and they also came fast... and they were the best we've ever had anywhere. We ordered the Burger Sliders and a Buffalo Chicken sandwich (no judgement...I DID have the steamed Broccoli for a side.) Unbelieveably great! ALL of it! Even the Broccoli was steamed perfectly and we couldn't believe how fast everything arrived - and the place was packed - so it wasn't because it was a slow day. We will ABSOLUTELY go back! Our server was great and the owner stopped by our table to see how we liked everything. This place is exactly what our area has been needing. The only other choice of anything close to it was Papa Willies... and we refuse to ever go there again. We are going to be regulars at Glory Days -- and NO, we don't own part of the restaurant - it was just.that.good! Our server was Nissa -- and she was fantastic! High Fives for that young lady! When this place first opened, it was very popular and busy, with good food and great service. However, the quality has declined. This is the second time in a row that we have experienced either terrible service or improperly cooked food (chicken). With many new restaurants opening in the area, I think they are struggling to retain good staff. Last night, we waited 15 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. The table next to us had a server who was chatting and laughing with them for a long time. It turned out that was our server, who knew those people. After asking the manager who our server was, she finally came over to take our drink and food order. Later, we noticed our server was back at the other table chatting again. All our glasses were empty, there were no straws, and my wife needed extra dressing for her salad. It was really frustrating. When we finished and received the bill, I explained to the server why she was receiving a small tip. I told her how frustrated we were watching her entertain her friends at another table while neglecting our needs. We have decided not to return. The food quality has really declined and so has the service. read more

We LOVE dining at Glory Days for several reasons. First is that they are service oriented; if they mess up they will definitely make it up to you. Second is that they have a great menu with reasonable prices (and they list the calories too!). Third is a great atmosphere whether you're indoors or outdoors. Tip-- the outdoor seating is "first come, first served" so if there's a long wait, watch for an outdoor table to open up! We are frequent diners; been going there at least once per week since they opened. read more

My friend and I went to Glory Days Friday because it is 'Fish Fry Day'. We got there at 11:30am so we could beat the crowd. The restaurant was about half full. I ordered a Caesar salad and a cup of their clam chowdah. My friend ordered the fish and fries. The service was great! We had such a bubbly server. The food took forever to get it. At least a half an hour. My salad came out brown and wilted. The dressing had no flavor. The chowder was really good with large chunks of potato and alot of clams. I sent the salad back and asked for a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was loaded with sugar and barely edible. I would not recommend this place to eat. There are so many other restaurants around that have much better food. read more

Been to Glory Days in other cities and have no complaints. Wife and I decided to give this location a try. We ordered a cheese steak and sliders which should be fairly easy to prepare. Was ready to leave after an hour wait when wait staff finally came with food. Waitress apologized for slow kitchen but we were already past the point of being able to enjoy our meal. I doubt we'll go back because there are other options that don't make their customers wait excessively long for their food. read more

On a Wednesday evening my husband and I sat outside(cold inside) and got a lemonade and a strawberry mojito at the server's suggestion. The first time she came out with the lemonade she said the bar was making his drink. Later she came out and said they made the drink wrong and she was having them make it again. We ordered a cup of chowder and our meals- he ordered cheeseburger sliders and I ordered fish and chips. The tiny cup of clam chowder was barely warm. I sent it back. Still waiting on the food, The manager comped our entire meal. Before the food even came. The fish was overcooked and quite tasteless. The coleslaw is bad. Not sweet at all and very dry. This restaurant opened 4 days ago. I usually wait until the restaurant has been open three weeks before I try it in order to give them a chance to work out the kinks. I must say I was shocked at how well this restaurant was running. We were a party of 10 and one of our party thought he made a reservation but when we got there, there was no reservation under his name. This was at 5 o'clock and the place was packed. I thought we are going to be sitting here a long time waiting for a table for 10. The hostess asked if we were willing to take a high top table if it became available first. We were seated within five minutes. There were plenty of staff running around the restaurant all looking very calm and in control. Our server was outstanding. Our food was hot and outstanding. Getting worse and worse each time we have gone there. Ate there 9/20 for lunch and got the chicken answer to philly cheese steak. It was crap. A few tiny pieces of chicken, tons of lettuce and smeared with mayo. I just so happens the first time I got it there it was very good. It has gone down hill very fast. The friday fish dinner special was also excellent the first 2 times we went,So good that we made the mistake to introduce another couple to the friday fish dinner,and it was oily and over battered. Terrible. I have tried it one last time 2 weeks ago and will never get it again. Apparently it seems to me they were giving good quality meals and larger sizes of everything the first couple of weeks they opened. Now that has all changed. I was going every week now once a month. Soon it will goodbye if things don't change. We eat out 7 days a week so we have plenty to compare it to. Keep it up and the waiting line will shrink and shrink,as I notice it has already.
