We ordered the Sweetwater skillet and it was delicious! There must be at least 12 folks working here. Everyone is friendly with the best attitudes! All were exceptionally quick to refill coffee and offer up the best in overall customer service experience! This wil definitely become a regular stop when visiting! For Moab locals, Wow, how lucky you are to have this amazing restaurant in the place you call home.

I then ordered a plate of fries, thinking fries would be a safe choice, but those were terrible as well, in my humble opinion. After a long day enjoying Arches National Park, we were really looking forward to a good, simple meal, and unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. I don't expect fancy food from a diner, but I do expect potatoes to be cooked properly. Actually I'm saying 2 stars as the Waitress was kind enough not to charge us for the Potatoes or the fries, but the food itself was a huge disappointment. 5 stars for the Server, 1 star for the cook.

I absolutely love beignets, and at that price there was no way we were walking past. We went inside and ordered six. Since they're made fresh to order, there was a short wait, which was more than worth it. We told the friendly employee behind the counter that we wanted them to go, and when she handed us the bag she smiled and warned us they were piping hot. She wasn't kidding! By the time we got back to our apartment, we couldn't wait another second. They were hot, light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We devoured every last one. I only wish we'd had more time to explore the rest of the menu because everything looked tempting. If you're strolling through downtown Moab and have a sweet tooth, Elsie's Old World Delights is a fantastic stop. Fresh beignets, friendly service and one of the best dessert bargains you'll find.

It was creamy and milky and not overwhelmingly sweet. The drunken noodles were also fantastic, it was chewy and flavorful and had lots of thai basil in it. The basil really brought out the dish, it was minty and herby and really counterbalances the heaviness of the dish and acts as a palette cleanser. I do wish the beef was a little more tender though but the taste is perfection.

We arrived around 6:00 p.m., and not long after we were seated the restaurant really started filling up, so getting there a little earlier was perfect. We started with the small Greek salad, which was fresh and a great way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the flat iron steak with a baked potato, grilled zucchini, and a roll. The steak was unbelievably tender...you could cut it with a butter knife. I ordered the Zac Mac & Cheese, and it was delicious. It was loaded with fresh, crunchy bacon and fresh jalapeños throughout, giving it just the right amount of flavor and a little kick. It also came with a warm roll. Between the excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, Zax made for a fantastic first dinner in Moab. We'd definitely come back.
