I've been seeing this doctor since I was a kid. Apparently they stopped accepting my insurance but when I called to make an appointment, they asked if my insurance had changed (I said no) and they booked me. They even call me the day before to confirm my appointment. I show up and they treat me like an idiot and tell me they've never accepted my insurance. I guess I've hallucinated the multiple visits I've had with Dr. Globerman with the same insurance I've had since 2001 when I became full time with my employer. This office has gone from becoming a caring healthcare organization to a Botox-pushing money mill. The last time I was in, i was hurried through the exam like an inconvenience. My experience with with Dr. Globerman was very unsatisfactory. I came in to see her last year for a skin issue, and I could tell she didn't know what was causing it. Her response was like, "Hmmm, let's try this...OK, maybe not, how about this?" Then she was stumped, and just gave up. Also bizarre, when she did the full body skin check, she abruptly yanked my underwear down and poked around. If she's checking everything, fine, but a little warning would have been nice! Long story short, I STILL have the skin issue, nothing was resolved, and I am looking for a new dermatologist. read more

I changed to Dr. Globerman last year who was highly recommended and my experience with her was good. However, I recently experienced a fast growing bump on my leg. I was very concerned and called to get an appointment. I was told Dr. Globerman could not see me until the end of September. I reiterated my concern and the office person said I could see another doctor but not until the end of August. I was not offered any options, even to get on the cancellation list. Being very concerned, I told her I would have to find another doctor. I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell cancer the following Monday and within the month it was removed. I am certain Dr. Globerman is a fine doctor, however, if their policies prohibit assisting you when an emergency arises then for me there is no point. read more

I feel like Dr. Globerman potentially saved my life. I was 26 years old when I first started seeing her (so this back in the late 90s). I had a dark little mole on my left wrist that my Cool Newport Beach Dermatologist kept measuring every year when I would go for an appointment. My mom was seeing Dr. Globerman and urged (okay, begged) me to go be examined by her. My mom said Dr. Globerman gave very thorough exams and that she used a pathologist that specialized in skin biopsies. Dr. Globerman was kind but very focused. She took one look at the mole on my wrist and asked me a bunch of questions about it. I told her my Cool Dermatologist just measures it every year. Dr. Globerman asked if she could remove it that day... and that procedure would require stitches. I had not psyched myself up to have a procedure that day but because of Dr. Globerman's concern, I agreed. Okay, no big deal, a few stitches and I was on my way again. A week or so later I received a call from the Doctor (at 8:30 in the evening) that she had received the results from the lab and it was not great news. My little, flat, NOT scary looking mole was actually on its way to becoming Melanoma! Whew, she had my attention now... and once again my mother dispensed some invaluable advice. One more in-office procedure to make sure the perimeter of the site were all clear. I very much appreciate how thorough she is with her work. Better to be on the safe side than sorry, and I have been clear and healthy for well over a decade. Needless to say, I never returned to the Cool Newport Beach Doc. So if you are looking for a kind doctor who will give your skin a very thorough check then Dr. Globerman is the one I recommend. Thank you Dr. Globerman! read more

After weeks of researching dermatologists in the area I finally found Dr. Globerman and Im so glad I did! She really knows her stuff. I had to wait almost 2 months for an appointment so you know she must be in high demand. She really listened to my concerns and put me on a regimen that seems promising. One of the office staff was beyond rude and condescending. She said the co-pay for my insurance "usually" $30. No one there apparently bothered to confirm. I will update my skin's progress in a couple of months. *UPDATE* Havent had a breakout in a year and with just a few IPL treatments I wont need to wear makeup anymore. Woot woot! I have been going to Dr. Globerman for skin checks for 2 years and find her professional and thorough. Since I had good experiences with her I brought my toddler in to see if she could help. He had been diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum. Most pediatricians say to do nothing about it and it will go away. They are small wart-like bumps that often go away on their own. My son had this condition which left pimple-like bumps on his legs, arms and face. There were usually on a few bumps at a time but when they kept reappearing on the face they would irritate my son and he would lick and scratch them. Schools were also asking what it was and I would have to send notes saying it was ok and not contagious. He also was becoming self-conscious too since he said the kids were asking about his "polka dots" on his face. My previous pediatrician in another city had used some kind of thing that burned the wart-like bumps off but left oozy sores and a took a few days to heal. (Beetle juice) ? So, my son had had these bumps for 2-3 years on and off. Finally, he had 2-3 bumps on his face and one near his mouth so I decided to bring him to Dr. Globerman. My local pediatrician said to do nothing but they were itchy and irritating on his face and I was worried that touching, licking and scratching would make them spread. Dr. Globerman did not want to use the same treatment to burn off the warts and instead prescribed a cream related to retinol. She said to use a teeny tiny amount. I followed her directions and the bumps went away very quickly - within two weeks. I treated the bumps on his face and leg. Finally they were all gone at once! One year later and they have never come back. My son was truly cured thank you to Dr. Globerman!! I wish someone else had told me about this miracle cream earlier to save all of the difficulties that we had in the past. Thank you Dr. Globerman! read more

I went to see Dr. Globerman and left feeling like we accomplished nothing. I've developed an allergic skin reaction in my face for the past 2 years when attempting to put on facial cream. Dr. Globerman did not really consult, instead telling me that we cannot really tell unless I come back and do a skin test on my back. My thoughts: what would react on my face (which is probably everything) may not react to what is on my back. Doesn't take a rock scientist to figure that out. I saw another dermatologist in the following week and she sat with me for a good 30-40mins to at least figure out and consult my condition. We pulled up creams that I used in the past and eliminated certain active ingredients that my have cause a reaction. She then gave me some cream samples that did not contain those certain ingredients and so far it's been okay. read more

LOVE HER! She treated a raised scar that I had with a couple of injections. The scar is now flat and the color is fading. I had this small scar treated by another dermatologist before. Instead of doing this minimally invasive procedure, the other doctor excised the scar and re-sutured the skin, which in turn created a larger, more noticeable scar. Needless to say, I wish I went to Dr. Globerman first. Minimal wait times and free parking are plusses! read more

The best! I have gone to her for years and years! So have my parents. Dr. Globeman is highly recommended. I also want to say, after reading some negative reviews about the new management and waiting room, etc, that today, when I went to my appointment, I did not wait more than 5 minutes, and there certainly were plenty of chairs to choose from. Also, the next person who walked in for an appointment barely sat down before she was ushered in. I felt the office staff was very competent and "on the ball," friendly, as well. I am happy to go here. In the past, under the old management, I did find myself waiting for about 20 minutes on average. Personally, I did not mind if sometimes I needed to wait for Dr. Globerman, because I knew, from experience, that it simply meant that the previous patient needed a bit more time than he or she had thought and this doctor cares. I always knew/know that once I am in, that I, too, will get all the time I need with the doctor. I would much rather wait to get excellent care and treatment than go to a doctor who zips people in and out according to the clock like a fast food restaurant. I did get in very quickly, today, however, I would have still been content to wait in the waiting room if I needed to, because Dr. Globerman is the doctor I want to see. Very disappointing, Not with dr but the employees. I try to make and appointment and they denied service to me because they said I owe them money. If I wanted to see the dermatologist I would have to pay cash for all the services, of course I'd say no!!!! First they give me a # to call which I did then she told me we send you to collection agency!!after a day of struggling with those agencies and in a way wasting my valuable time... They finally say oh!!! You don't owe us anything!!!! I was so mad for what I had to go thru. We can make the appmt for you!!! After they treated me like a criminal!. Dr. Globerman is the worst doctor and office. If I could give no stars at all I would. Every time we go, she makes us wait at least 45 minutes in the waiting room. My son was going there to get his warts frozen off for 6-8 months and they didn't go away. They would get smaller and bigger. But never complete go away. She said she only had two methods and we tried them all. We spent over $1000 in all the treatments. I was so frustrated and felt bad for my 8 year old who had to do this freezing!!! It is painful to watch him go through it. I asked her to release all of our medical charts bc we would leave her and seek another doctor. She yelled at me in front of my son. Very unprofessional! As I was waiting for the front office to make copies, she pulled me aside and apologize for her behavior. Even she acknowledged that she was unprofessional. We switched insurance and went to Kaiser. They used a new treatment like a beetle juice injection or something and it went away 100% with one treatment! The warts have been gone for almost 8 months. Hasn't come back. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable, and appointment was on time. Kaiser! Can you believe it? I wish I could remember the Kaiser dermatologist do I can give her 5 stars but we only saw her once. read more

I was disappointed. Not with Dr. Globerman but with the office. I've been looking for a good dermatologist for years, seem to be none in Irvine really good. Friend recommended this one. She did a great thorough exam. But then I was charged extra for co-pay and lab work. A mole was removed and biopsied and Dr. G. told me to come back for a quick 5 minute exam to check healing. I did and they even charged me for that which I told them was very petty and money-grubbing. I never returned. Maybe more concern for patients and less for money would go a long way. After several disappointing encounters with dermatologists throughout the OC, I finally found a dermatology practice that I love! This practice offers a balance between Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology- a rare find these days. They offer all the latest cosmetic procedures, but do not push it on you. I saw Dr. Globerman for a skin check and biopsy and then Dr. Lander performed Mohs surgery on my face for a basal cell carcinoma. Both Drs. and the staff were professional, kind, and thorough. I adore Dr. Globerman! She is thorough, professional, and she knows her stuff. However, the staff that works with her leaves very much to be desired. One woman appears to be incompetent, a few of the office staff (who answer the phone) lack any compassion. The aesthetician is an idiot. There is a significant disconnect between Dr. Globerman's amazing competence and the ineptitude of those that work under her. I don't understand, and hope that Dr. Globerman is planning to make a change in this area. read more

I take my skin very seriously and I believe your skin can truly reflect your health and youth. I had an annoying acne condition on my face and Dr Globerman helped me get better by prescribing me topical antibiotics. I improved within a few months (granted I try to have healthy lifestyle as well, but still). She also advised me what kind of cleansers, moisturizers, and even makeup is good for my skin. read more

If I could give minus stars I would. I am writing this as a concerned daughter who has worked in a well known dermatologist office in Beverly Hills for many years. I mention this simply to let you know that I am speaking from a standpoint of extensive experience with various forms of dermatological issues and not just running my mouth. My father (who is a two time cancer survivor) went to to Dr. Globerman over 2 weeks ago to have a biopsy of some very large, nasty looking lesions. I asked him this morning what the pathology report was and he said he was never contacted with the results and had to call them. He called me back to let me know they came back as BASAL CELL CARCINOMA. The office NEVER CONTACTED my father to give him the results and made some excuse about running behind? I know from my job, as well as having had over 200 removals of my own (some cancerous), that him not having been contacted with this time sensitive information is reprehensible, irresponsible and frightening. Pathology reports can take less than a week to come back. There is no excuse for the mishandling of this extremely serious situation and I am hoping that anybody who takes the time to read this will think twice before visiting this office (if you have yet to do so) and going back (if you are currently a patient). BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE and look after your health. read more

Came in for Botox because I heard that she was really good and I was very pleased with the results! Dr. Globerman is very professional and kind of treated me like I was her daughter, very nurturing and caring. She gave me good consultation about the placement of the Botox. With Botox, the Dr. has to estimate what is the right amount for your face so you have the desired effect but don't look too" frozen". She gave me the perfect amount and it worked very well! Botox is kind of a science and an art and Dr.Globerman is awesome at it! read more
