Leaks observed in the following winter season after install that were never repaired or resolved. Even though it was under warranty in the contract. We also had issues with their exterior painting subcontractor who was very hostile towards our concerns of painting in the winter (cold temps and rain- we wanted to wait until spring. We insisted which drove him into a fit). The bigger issue was with the roof leak however and after contacting the Viktor the owner he offered to pay for the repairs (We had to hire another roofing company to come and fix, and also hire a mold mitigation company to remove mold). He never paid after over many months of notice. These problems are often resolved in legal mitigation with a contractors bonding company, however we discovered he had been recently sued by someone else for over $16k which drained their bond. Thankfully the other roofing company did a solid job of fixing the leak issues and mold mitigation company also did a perfect job removing mold so there is happy ending to the roof. However, do your homework on Washington labor and industries website https://secure.lni.wa.gov/ before hiring this company, or for any contractor for that matter. As of now their license is suspended, but yet they still advertise. Be careful out there!

I hired Viktor with Provision Remodeling to hang new cement board siding on my home and remove the…read moredrywall infested LP siding which was failing and original to our home. We went through him for exterior paint as well, which he insisted on using Sherwin Williams for, as they are considered the best quality. In the process of having our home looked over to see what projects we could afford to do, we had an unpleasant surprise in finding out the previous home owners...who replaced the roof themselves...laid the roof shingles incorrectly and therefore we had swelling and imminent failure. I received quotes from four exterior siding companies, as well as six roofing companies. I could have gone with two separate companies but Viktor won my business for two reasons. He was competitive with the siding and roofing companies I was seriously considering and he was very communicative. He answered so many questions. We have never had major home repairs done. We both had family and friends pepper us with horror stories of companies giving them a reasonable price and then tacking on thousands in charges at the end. I probably drove him a little nutty with all my concerns before we agreed to sign the contract. Then, after we signed, we added on work we hadn't realized needed to be done as well. For one, I thought the rubber trim wood around garage doors was part of the siding. It is not. Ours was in need of replacement. Our exterior outlets were outdated and out of code, as they were original to the house...twenty-five years ago. We asked for our bathroom exhaust fans to be replaced, which were accessed via the attic and that led to finding out our master bath vent was never even hooked up...just a fan box buried in insulation. That answered why we kept having motors burn out every two to three years. There was trim replacement which was unplanned for as well. There were a couple of delays, but Viktor was always responsive and reassuring when those happened and the work was not only done but done so well I've had multiple people, in the neighborhood, comment on the quality of the final job. His employees are friendly and patient with my curious George mind...asking about every little thing, as I just never stop asking how things work. He even went above and beyond. I ordered a new sliding patio door from a door company he works with all the time and when they were not communicative, Viktor followed up with them to find out what was going on. The additional charges for the work added after contract signing was very reasonable. I am fully confident in my recommendation of Viktor and his team. They are perfectionists, professional, patient, communicative, and friendly. I am very happy I chose to give Provision Remodeling my business and would do so again.

I have worked with many contractors over the years and my experience with Spruce Box was one of the worst I have worked with for small projects, due to a lack of good project management, quality control and professionalism in addressing quality of work issues. The painting of doors was terrible (trying to use cheaper paint than agreed upon and without tinting to match existing) and remain so, even after painting of some doors three times. They sparyed doors in my garage instead of a shop ( assuring me the results were equivalent) but the painting was a disaster because the painter worked for residential developers and not high-end interiors. Why did they hire this painter for my job and why did they not fire him after his many mistakes??? The hardware installation required re-installation in several instances due to not reading instructions and or lack of experience installing hardware. Trim Paint on the exterior siding and the chimney enclosure requires a second finish coat of paint. The patio door paint is discoloring and scratches off easily - probably due to prep or number of coats of paint. Bathroom door swings open by itself. On the plus side, the crew was generally friendly, kept the house clean and corrected their work when I pointed it out to them. however, many mistakes should have been caught by them. I believe overlapping scheduling of projects led to a rushed job and was even told as much by the crew on a couple of occasions. Response to the issues during the work was minimal and required my constant attention. Now (5 months after the work) and a walk through to identify the issues, I am told by Xavier (owner) that they had barely broken even on the job financially, and would they therefore would not follow-up on the correction of mistakes or paying me to make these repairs on my own. They no longer return my calls, and have essentially ghosted me. This might happen with a bad friendship but should never happen in a business context. I WOULD NOT HIRE SPRUCE BOX NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE FOR ANY PROJECT BECAUSE THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK AND THEIR HIGH PRICES ARE NOT COMMENSURATE WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.

We signed with Green City 2 weeks ago and I'm already the proud owner of two freshly installed skylights. They did the work in less than a day, the crew were all good guys and obvious pros, and they didn't leave the place a total mess. I even volunteered to vacuum the schmutz that they did leave behind.
