Dave is not senile, he lies. For years he has insisted that the 2 tanks we had are his - even after we had him pick up one of them that was his. As we saw on surveillance, he came on our property unannounced and uninvited, banged on our door screaming. We called his phone and left a message that he was never to come on our property again. We had the propane evaluated that he delivered one time concerned it was making us sick, it was tainted. This is why we were getting sick from running the propane fireplace. It is why he can sell his gas for less. To this day he continues to bill us for 2 tanks (we purchased one subsequently ourselves) which we told him years ago he would have to prove is his. Of course he can't. So one of them we purchased AFTER he picked up the one that was his and one the previous owner purchased. Both have proof of bill of sale - neither of the 2 were ever leased. So number 1. don't be taken in by low pricing - it's a health risk. 2. Don't deal with him or stop dealing with him because if you have not seen his rage, you are likely to at some point. And, 3. his business tactics are fraudulent and can be proven to be fraudulent if you want to bother to take him to court. It's amazing he's been able to maintain his business through the years and that he has not been stopped by lawsuits, criminal investigation, fines and jail time. Our theory is he is so caustic no one wants to pursue him. Of course it may take only one time to shut him down completely. Addendum: because we are still getting billed, we could be the ones to shut down his business for good. read more

Dave at Global Propane has taken care of my propane needs for over 30 years and he is the best! Whenever I need propane I can count on Dave to deliver in snow, sleet, rain, hail or even the last minute when my propane is low and I've neglected to check my percentage. Not only does Global Propane offer fast reliable service, they also have the best prices in Colorado. I've received offers in the mail from other propane companies that offer gift cards or rebates if I switch companies, however, their prices are much higher than Global Propane so I don't fall for their gimics. I highly recommend Global Propane and I will continue to purchase propane from Global as long as I own my home. Take it from a long term customer, Global Propane is five-stars in my book! I would say don't do business with this company. I've never been so belittled by the owner of a company simply for having a question about my bill. Admittedly, there are times when they are cheaper than anyone else and they advertise a "volume discount" if you order more than 500 gallons. That's why I ordered propane from them. But when they finally sent me a bill for the propane I received (it took approximately 6 months before I got a bill), I didn't receive a "volume discount" even though I received 775 gallons. So I called to ask why I didn't receive a "volume discount," and I was lambasted by a guy named Dave on the phone for having the gall to ask such a question. I was belittled and made to feel small simply for having a question about my bill. I did not argue with him, I just paid the increased price and I won't be doing business with Global anymore. Learn from my lesson and don't do business with Global Propane or condescending Dave and don't fall victim to their "volume discount" advertisements. read more

I do not recommend doing business with these people. We had used them in the past. They rarely answer their phone and rarely call you back when you leave a message. Last week I called Global, asked for a current price on propane and specifically asked for a call back with the information. They didn't call and we arranged to get propane from another company. So, when a truck showed up and filled our tank, I assumed it was the company we had authorized to do so. I briefly spoke with the driver, because I ran out to move a tricycle that I thought might be in the way, not noticing the name on the truck. He said he had tried to call on his way out but no one answered. There was no call on my caller ID. I had been home all morning and the phone never rang. The driver left an invoice on the front door, and to my shock and dismay, it was from Global Propane, not the Company I had authorized to fill the tank. I did NOT authorize Global to fill our tank. All I did was ask for a price. I am raging mad! I had to call the other Company and cancel the fill. They were very nice and said that Global had done this to a number of other customers who had ordered propane from them. What Global did, is tantamount to theft. I will NEVER use Global Propane ever again. I am checking with our attorney for possible remedies to this theft, and I will report this to the State. OUTRAGEOUS!!! read more

This company presents a mixed bag of comments. First, their prices are among the most competitive in the area. The delivery driver was courteous and competent. He carefully asked which part of the property was appropriate to drive his truck. Likeable guy. Based on this alone, my rating would be four stars. As for Dave, the owner, I found him rude, insulting, and threatening. Although I have lived in America's west for over 20 years, he learned I was born in the eastern US and unabashedly told me to move back to the east where I belong. I don't tolerate bullies at all, so a heated discussion followed. I had called him and left my first message for a top-off during mid-day of his work day - no call back. When we did connect, he berated me for calling before a holiday and threatened me if I used another provider to fill his tank, although he was not responsive to my first call during his work hours and the tank was in no way marked as (property of) Global Propane. At that point, I did call a local "five -star" competitor and was actually in the process of making arrangements to lease a 500-gallon propane tank from them, pay their very low lease fee, the modest installation fee and have them drag the 66-year old Global tank off to the side when a Global Propane truck pulled into my driveway. The driver was very polite and competent as stated before so I allowed him to continue (don't argue with the messenger/driver). So if you do business with them, be ready for dealing with an owner who never heard of Andrew Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Don't take any crap from him, he forgets that you are doing him a favor by using his company - he generates a lot of hot air and animus in the process of dealing with his customers -- too bad. Remember you have other Propane Service options and don't need to listen to his vitriol. Once you get past the owner, you will find the company - driver, service, price - all very, very good. read more

These guys are fantastic. They've been my go to propane company since we bought our house. The only time I have ever not been too happy with them was when they came and filled up out tank with out calling ahead of time. Normally, we call in and need propane, generally when we are between 25% and 30% full, and their driver calls in route so we can make sure he gets to the right place. Our house is silly and if you don't get everything just so in google maps or map quest, it'll take you way out in the wrong place. So, they didn't call once and when I got home, I had a surprise tank of propane and a bill on my door. Not a huge deal in the end though because we had called it in and did really need propane that time. They have made special trips out for me when we had an issue with the water heater and it completely drained our tank in a matter of a week and a half, and they've always been willing to work with a payment plan after the tank is filled. We aren't made of money, and they understand we can't pay upwards of $450 or more upfront. I will definitely continue to use them and recommend them to the people around me. read more

New to the Elizabeth area having just bought a house, and not even furnished yet we are in our rv on our new property. Discovered the RV was hours from running out of propane and no easy way to get it filled before freezing temps return. Several other companies required me drive to them. They are a simple company that sells LPG. I know people want to not worry about checking their tanks, especially not ever run out of heat in the cold winter months, but still won't check their own gauge a few times a month. If this is you, then pay more elsewhere for full service. They have a top up plan when in your area, but don't expect them to check your tank level frequently, or any supplier for that matter. That said these guys will come out and fill your tank within the week; next day if slower season. They are simple small business and prefer to bill you later, and for 500+gal fills I have yet to find a better price. Yes, this assumes you have a 1k tank, a 500 gallon tank even burred will never hold more then 450 gallons, so for those I cannot say they are the best. I am not looking to chat up a friendly operator so the office call when they are swamped is no big deal to me, I simply want to call and say I would like my tank filled asap, they show up, know where to go and what to do, get a signature, and bill me. Easy, simple, done, just go out and look at your gauge when the sun is out and the wind is low, it's super easy and then save some cash and call Global on your next big fill. read more

used this company because they were reasonably priced. agreement was they were supposed to periodically check the tank to ensure it stayed full. they didn't! ended up with no propane in the middle of winter and took them two days to get back to me only to have it go two more days before getting a truck out to fill the tank. when I talked to Dave, who said he didn't know who I was and we fell through the cracks!!! His driver came out to fill the tank just as I was leaving and I told him to speak to or call (because I gave the company our #'s) my husband (who was home at the time). He apparently only filled the tank 100 gallons and put on the receipt that I refused him entry into my home! He never asked to enter my home!!! Both my husband and I attempted to call the company WITH NO RETURN CALLS!!! Now my lawyer is involved. Do not use this company! read more
