This year was my first year of visiting the Elbert County Fair. I have a one-year-old and a…read morethree-year-old and they absolutely loved the fair. They loved seeing all of the animals. There are buildings that have in goats, sheep, pigs, cows, rabbits, chickens, and even turkeys in them. They've got lots of 4H competitions here. Also make sure to check out the agricultural building to see items like quilts, plants, and pictures in the general exhibits. In terms of food and drinks I absolutely loved the lemonade truck. They have so many awesome flavors to try. I recommend coming the second weekend that the fair runs, that is when they have the free rides and activities for kids. Some examples are face painting, a mini train, bouncy houses, and a petting zoo. Check the calendar to see what events they have going on. They've got a parade, mutton bustin, rodeo, fireworks, and more.

The food trucks and concession stand were also decent. The whole event is basically free and you only end up paying for food, drinks, and any trinkets you want from the trade show.

This place feels like a Hallmark movie. They have tons of activities like: pumpkin patch, petting…read morezoo, giant slide, jumping pillows, corn maze, general store, apple cannon, rope courses, etc. They also had multiple food trucks and sold cider donuts (yum). The only communication that was timely was sending an invoice - one week before the work was first scheduled... In general, I'm always willing to give a small business a second chance to redeem themselves, but if they don't recognize it as an opportunity to earn your business and your respect as a consumer, there's not much more you can do. When I went by there was only one employee working and when I asked about indoor plants he quickly informed me that they have some succulents but that most of their plants are outdoor plants. I was extremely disappointed by the small selection of pots and other planting materials in the indoor store. The indoor store appeared bare almost as though they were getting ready to go out of business. The outdoor greenhouse was disorganized with stuff strewn about everywhere like they were in the middle of repotting and trimming and didn't bother to clean up. There are a nice selection of trees for landscaping projects but a bunch of the pine trees looked half dead. All the lawn ornaments and fountains which I assumed were for sale were sun damaged and weather worn like they'd been sitting out for years. I ended up with a 4" succulent as a gift for someone for $11 but I probably won't be back. Hopefully they are able to stay in business but they need a serious overhaul and a better selection first.

Calling the morning prior to my pickup to confirm everything I was offered next to no help and told they don't have the trailer I was renting. I was told to call UHaul directly and figure it out which I did. However, if that's the customer service they offer and attitude they show I will spend my money elsewhere.
