And really felt happiness I have not seen in a long time. When I received the invoice, I was shocked. It was a niche item, and the store seemed to know WAY too many specific facts for an employee to not have bid it up because it lacked keywords. It includes facts only fans would know. My child worked tirelessly all week to SELL other items to try and pay the $3600+. She lost sleep and ruined the entire week. She did not make her goal. I called Goodwill multiple times, but they told me they had a second bid and couldn't offer a discount. I explained. Clearly. I asked do they not assist with autism awareness and employment? They said I should have called earlier and that I was too late, but I called before the first bid, four times, leaving four voicemails. They said if I HAD CALLED then, they would have given a lower buy it now price, but I did call and after 5 days I got the "Unfortunately" speech. Seriously, ZERO concern. It's only 5 hours before payment is due, and my child is beside herself with fear and sadness. This is inhumane. Having been treated this way by a "disability advocate" company that got something for FREE, they wouldn't even allow a short extension! She even made a GoFundMe, but they didn't care. This means the world to my child, and I am astonished. I hope someone corrects this terrible error.
