I saw that almost every review was 5 stars. There was one person who gave them a 1 star and I know after being in business for over 30 years there is always that one person. So I called ahead to see if there was anything special that I needed to bring with me. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She said that when I got to the location they would set me up. When I arrived it was busy. The young lady working there was working with one customer filling his tanks and another was just ahead of me. When it was my turn she walked me through what I would need (new adaptors so I could use my RV's current hook ups and regulator). She was very helpful and pleasant. She kept everyone in order and was on top of it. I told her that I pick this place because of the reviews and she said that she was proud of doing a good job. She also mentioned the negative review that was posted and said the guy never came to her location. He mentioned the receptionist as being rude and there is no receptionist on sight. Just her and the 2 awesome dogs in the office. Anyway I had an amazing first experience at Affordable Propane from the first call to getting my 2 tanks filled. The price was 1/2 of what I would hav3e paid at the other locations I called. So although the reviews were better I also came for the price as well. It was a win win and I will be back.

(The van's customization was done in Texas.) The owner himself came out to talk with me and talked me through his idea for a solution. He quoted me what I thought was a very reasonable price and they completed the work in a few hours. He gave me a thorough rundown on how the new system worked and things to look out for. The truck I rented online was the wrong size because the small ones do not have the ramp. When I realized my mistake, I had already completed the online check out. I went inside expecting to be told, "Too bad." To my amazement, the clerk understood my problem, cancelled the incorrect rental, and immediately rebooked the smallest truck with a loading ramp. In spite of my own mistake, I was in and out within 20 minutes. The return was simple. I just parked it in the return area, did a quick walk around with the employee, and got my receipt for a completed return. No unexpected charges and fees.

It wastes time and money especially for people who are busy with kids that set aside time to go do these things. I'll give this place another shot because I've had good experiences before but it's extremely frustrating when I come in, only to be turned away because nobody is here to refill a tank.

The LP costs less here per gallon than at the exchange places like King Sooper, etc. And the tank gets filled to the legal limit. Just compare the weight of an exchanged tank to a tank that you fill here. That difference is significant and it means a longer time before refilling. The service here is excellent and half the time there's a line but these guys are fast! I've never had a long wait. Make sure to get your card punched! Pay less for a fuller tank! What's not to like?

I don't know why I even call other places to check prices anymore? The lady (Mary I think?) who answers the phone is always nice to deal with. The drivers are always very friendly and I like the fact that they respect our property. They walk to our door to double check where to park and verify how many gallons of propane we would like. We've used other propane places before we found Stone and we've never been treated with the great customer service that Stone Oil offers. We've NEVER had a problem or issue with Stone Oil. Great prices, great customer service, and all around great people. You can't go wrong with Stone Oil.
