Let me start off with... I called before I showed up to verify I could get my wheel locks unlocked due to my key being damaged. When I showed up about 10 minutes after I called no one was in the service department. I waited for about 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I finally went to the front desk and asked if service was open today (even though I knew they were because I had called before showing up) and the lady at the front desk said they were and that they were short staffed but Thomas should be with me as soon as he came back from the service department below. She told me where his desk was and to wait by it for him. I thanked her and went to what she said was his desk. I waited for about another 10-15 minutes with no interaction. Finally a gentleman came up to me (who had been working with another lady when I came in) and he asked me what I was needing. I told him I had called earlier needing my wheel locked unlocked due to the key being damaged. (I had the key with me and showed him) He proceeded to tell me that they didn't do that here but if I wanted I could go to parts and see if they could order me a new set. (knowing this was unnecessary but hoping someone could and would be willing to help in parts I went over) No one was at the parts desk and I didn't want to wait for long time again so I called parts from my cell while sitting at the parts front desk. A gentlemen answered the phone, I explained my interaction with Thomas, about how "we don't do that here" and the parts guy seamed confused. He sent out one of his guys to help me, to make sure I was speaking to the correct person. The parts escort took me to the same guy I had just spoken to. The parts guy explained what I needed to Thomas and Thomas said that they were not able to do that unless they looked at my vehicle. I explained that I only need the key to unlock the wheel lock and that I don't need my vehicle looked at, that I had called to verify before coming that this was something they did. Thomas then said that if they needed to take my vehicle down to the service deck that my car needed to be checked in and that they would need to verify that my locks were actual Mini locks and not another brand. I confirmed they were Mini and he insisted on looking at them. I took Thomas to my vehicle and showed him my locks and the bad key. He insisted they were "after market" and "not Mini" locks. I opened my trunk and took out the packaging that my key came out of and showed him that they were indeed Mini and that they (Global Imports Mini) should have a master key to unlock my wheels. He proceeded to tell me that to do that he would need to take it to the service deck and check my vehicle and that it would take about 2 hours. (I JUST NEEDED THE WHEEL LOCKS UNLOCKED... NOTHING MORE! Why should that take 2 hours?!) I explained one more that that I didn't need an inspection that I only needed the wheels unlocked. He then said that they need to use a "special machine" to unlock my wheels. I questioned him (as one who has changed tires before that have had wheel locks on the tire) I asked him how that is possible if people need to be able to change their tires on the side of the road why they would make it so a "special machine" would need to be used to take the wheel locks off. At this point I had had enough. I had been lied to more than I care to count, from the "we don't do that here" to the "special machine" needed to undo the wheel lock. The manner in which I was treated, how I was patronized and spoken down to, to the unwillingness to even get the universal key to see if it would have even been an issue! Thomas Rickard is no someone who should be in front of the public. He is rude and unwilling to help, and his ability to speak to people without being patronizing is remarkable! (not a good thing). Please send Tomas Rickard to training so he can better interact with the public. So he can learn how to listen and not patronize people, as well as lie to them or question them when they have proof of the contrary (my locks and key being Mini, him telling me they aren't) I am INCREDIBLY disappointed and enraged with how I was treated today. read more

After several visits to this dealer to fix a recurring problem. I would have to give Global Mini a poor rating. I attempted to call the service manager several times without response on the issue. I have bought my last two mini cooper's from Global. My first experience was great. I dealt with Phil and he was the greatest. He made me feel comfortable and like I was part of his family when buying my car. My second experience was not like that at all...and I mean AT ALL!! I went in to test drive a roadster but the sales person would not even let me look at them. I was told I would be getting $1700 back on my trade in and it took 4 months and several calls to get $400. When questioned about this matter I was told I was wrong and nobody ever said I was getting that much back. It was a horrible experience and def made me dislike the Mini I was driving. The sales person called my place of work several times (after I asked him not to call the office) demanding I take the survey after purchasing my car. I took the survey to just get the calls to stop. I could go on about the sales team at global but I will stop...trust me if you want a Mini I would look elsewhere. The service department is not much better. Again I could go into a long rant about the service department but really all I need to say is this....I took my car in for service June 2015 everything was great. Flash forward to September 2015...I took my car to another mini dealership for a recall come to find out I had several recalls that were from 2014. The disregard of a safety recall at a dealership is something I cannot stand for. Until the management takes control of their business I will not be stepping foot on Global's property. I would much rather drive out of my way and go to the Mall of Ga Mini where the treat you like family and not just a dollar sign. read more

At 83 I've purchased quite a few cars in my life. Without any hesitation, this was the most enjoyable auto purchase that I have experienced and trust me, at my age, you get picky. Selling cars isn't really brain surgery, especially MINIs. If you walk into a MINI dealership you've got a pretty good idea you want one - they aren't commodity cars. I walked in after seeing a used 2013 Cooper S online that had all of the options I wanted. I took it for a test drive on a rainy Saturday, we did a very small amount of back and forth as their "Sonic Price" is a no-haggle one, then I wandered over to the business office where my first surprise came in. He ran the numbers and said he could give me 1.9% financing through BMW (a little better than my bank), then said if I agreed to some $149 security option, he could give me 0.9%. When I looked at the difference in the total amount of interest, the 0.9% ended up being about $200 cheaper ... so, I get something and pay less? Sure thing, pal. Second surprise came a few days later when the sun came out and I found more rock chips on the hood than I would have expected for a certified pre-owned car. Yeah, I know, I bought a three year old car with 42,000 miles. Still, this was a surprise. So I called Quent Jordan, the salesman I'd worked with. He said bring it in and they'd take a look. Imagine my shock when he called and said they were going to repaint the hood - on a car they I had already bought. Sure, they own a collision shop, but they still have to pay for materials and time. How easy would it have been to say it's yours, it's a used car? But they didn't. Everyone talks about the, "service after the sale" but Global MINI put their money where their mouth is. read more

Wow! Just bought the wife a 2014 Mini Cooper S and it was a great experience. Like some I am always skeptical of dealerships, however the wife and I were surprised at how good of an experience it was to shop and buy from Don at Global Imports. He greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and with absolutely no pressure walked us through the test drive (which was extensive) and the purchase. If you are thinking of purchasing a mini cooper I would highly recommend seeing Don Bryan and the folks at Global Imports. When I got home last night I was looking around the house for the wife and found her sitting in the garage in her new Global Imports 2014 Chili Red Mini Cooper. Oh well I guess it is just our dog and I for the foreseeable future. read more

Very poor service department. They break things and can't fix the things they break. I took my car in for a creaky window regulator. The day after I picked it up, the electric door lock would not work. I believe there must be a connection. I took it back. No, they say. Not possible. It is a bad actuator. They replace the actuator. I pick it up, try the lock, it goes up and down. I drive it home. The next day, I try to open the door. The door will not open from inside or out. I take it back. The apologize we will get right on it. I go back to pick it up. No charge they say and make a big deal of it. I am thinking that is sort of a given. I drive it home. The next day, I try to open the door again. Same problem. The lock button operates but the door is still physically locked. This happens on December 19. I have all my family coming in for Christmas and we are traveling together to several destinations. I need a car with a working door. I call and get the message that they cannot help me. They can't work on it and can't provide a loaner. I escalate and insist. Any car that is drivable will do, new car used car anything. They miraculously find a car that I can use the next day. I take my care in a third time for the same problem. I drive off. On Christmas Eve, the service rep calls and says the car is fixed but he has to tell me he is not sure of the repair. They may need an actuator cable and housing and of course that is a new repair that would be my responsibility. I do not argue the point but this is a passenger door on a car that rarely has a passenger. There is no chance that the cable is worn out. I simply say that I will pick it up on Saturday morning as I had originally said I would. On Saturday morning, Dec 26, I get there at the time they open. First, they can't find my paperwork. Then they can't find my car. Then, they find the car is still being worked on. The door panel is off. I sit back down to wait. Thirty minutes passes. Service rep drops by to tell me it will just be about 10 minutes. Thirty more minute passes. I actually have to leave town pretty soon since the Christmas party is still going on with my family. While I am figuring out what alternate plan I can take, they bring me the key. I thank them and go the car. I operate the lock and the door handle a few times. It works. So far, so good. I get in the car to drive off and I see that the air bag warning light is on. I stop get out and move the passenger seat. The light stays on. I go back in to tell the service rep. He is polite but somehow does not seem surprised. The service technician is called. The car disappears and 40 minute later it is back. They hand me my key again and say they are sorry. I say thank you and drive off. The only thing I noticed is that the gas tank is now full. Instead of being appreciative, I worry that they put bad gas in the car. This saga is but one of many I could tell about the terrible service I have had from Global Mini. I have stories about the compressor-a-year air conditioner, the wheel sensor problem that caused the engine to shut down while running on the interstate and they could not find the problem (Drive it they said, Call if it happens again. It did, three times.), the radio that buzzed and they could not find the problem, these are all $1000 to $2000 repairs. It is a loser car and a loser dealership. There is not much one person can do. I had my MINI serviced here once and won't be returning. I bought the '02 MINI (not here) and it's been an excellent and reliable car. Love! I came here to get my battery replaced and my A/C looked at. I told them I had the freon recharged in my A/C and it was still blowing hot air. Well, they charged me $450.00 for a new battery and $120.00 for a freon recharge and told me it was fixed. I was also given a PAGE full of recommended work for my car estimated at over 2k. I was driving home in the summer heat and kept waiting to feel my AC start working. It never did. They said my shocks, struts needed to be replaced and that my oil pan was leaking. I take my car to a Goodyear the next week for an oil change and I'm told there's NOTHING wrong w my car and that my air compressor went out, and that's why my AC died. Thanks for the rip off, GI. I do give 2 stars though because they washed my car for free and the food in the cafe was delicious. read more

Just walk away. Mini Cooper is a great car to drive daily and it promises. Unfortunately, this location does not promise. I've been here with family and friends and saw upfront how they treat their customers. When the car is new, they're nice at first. When the car is old and the warranty is about to expire, they change their attitude towards you. And I'm sure everyone knows about the excuses they make. I came in with a few of my friends with different years of mini coopers. They all had issues with the transmission. They said the estimated amount to replace the transmission is about 7000+. I've heard multiple times about something spilling on the transmission which causes the car to shut down. Another excuse was your transmission is old, you need to replace it. I guess you have to change a 4 year old car? read more

I purchased my mini at another dealership. I was having issues with my convertible top and brought it to Global mini. I was introduced to Lacey in the service area. Lacey was very courteous, and had wonderful communication. My car had to have the convertible cradle replaced and was in the shop for two weeks. Lacey placed me in a great loaner car, I received either a phone call or text every other day with updates. When my frustration was high, Lacey was very kind and understood my feelings. When I picked up my car it was washed and clean and I have had no more issues at all. Lacey is a great employee and I hope Global Mini knows what a great employee he is and how he treats his customers. read more

No gimmicks no pushy car salesmen, just great service and a willingness to help you find what you're looking for. I would highly recommend Sergei. He helped me find the best car and didn't mind me coming back after test driving a few cars so that I think through my decision. I recently purchased a used Mini Cooper S that needed some parts. I was able to call Jonathan in the parts department, explain all of the problems/parts needed as well as some of the rumors that I had heard about the Mini Coopers without a problem. Jonathan never dismissed anything that I mentioned. He took his time, ensured that I completed all of the proper paperwork and saved me from even having to drive in to the dealer because of the distance by shipping the items to me. I have always had good experiences with my BMW dealer but I think that Jonathan went above and beyond. I will be a Global Mini customer for life! I bought my countryman here last week, and could not be more pleased with the buying process. Sales were fairly low pressure, and the pressure to get warranties and upgrades were limited. My sales associate, Phil, worked with me and put up with my constant phone calls asking when my car would be in. He was quick, friendly, and straightforward. The finance department was easy to deal with and, so far, I couldn't be happier with my car. However, I have to knock off one star because of spam. As soon as I gave them my information, I began getting copious volumes of emails. Even worse, they seem to cross-reference your information with other people's information and spam them, too! I don't share my husband's last name, but my sister-in-law does. The day I bought my Mini, she started getting email spam from Global Imports. Not cool. read more

I had always considered myself spoiled by our MINI dealer in Shawnee, KS, where we have bought and serviced multiple MINIs over the years. I was concerned when we relocated to Atlanta that we would not find a dealer who would show us the personal attention and the attention to details that we had come to expect. I am glad to learn my fears were unfounded. Jermaine Duberry is a very professional service agent, and all their staff is courteous and helpful. Their waiting area is clean and well-stocked. My 2015 pumpkin orange (lava yellow) hard top came back from its service with a nice clean outside (and inside-which our former dealer did not do). In addition, Jermaine notified me right away that our MINI had a recall which they then executed. Our MINI had new power and a quiet purr that it had not had before. I will be happy to return to this dealership for all my MINI service needs. read more

Before I begin, you should know that Global Imports Mini has an "F" rating (the lowest possible rating) with the Better Business Bureau. An "F". I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I bought my Mini here and trusted their advice about service for years. Now, after spending thousands of dollars on service, I have discovered how shoddy, unprofessional and suspect their service actually is. After spending $3k on service in 2017, in November 2017, I brought my car in for an oil change because I was going on a trip. I was told I didn't need an oil change by the service manager. He said the light will come on when I'm due but they will do a complimentary 24 point inspection (which I would think included checking the oil.) A month later, in December, the Check Engine light came on. I brought my car in the next day and waited all morning for a diagnosis. I went to lunch & the service manager called & said I had low oil (!) which caused a solenoid switch to warp. He advised I get I an oil change and replace the solenoid for $500. He said that would buy me time, but I'd eventually need to replace the oil pan seal for $1,100. I told him just to do the oil change and I'll think about trading it because I'm spending too much on service in one year. My Mini only had 70K miles. He said I really needed to do the solenoid too or it could further damage the engine. So I okayed the charge with the understanding this would at least temporarily fix the problem. Thirty minutes later, he called me to say the car was ready. I was surprised that $500 worth of work could be done in 30 min, but I said okay and picked up the car. Before I got out of the parking lot, the Check Engine light came back on, so I turned around, back to Service. After waiting another 2 hours, the Service Mgr. said I now need a $3k timing belt, in addition to the $1,100 oil pan seal. I reminded him that he said the $500 repair I just paid for would buy me time to think about trading. He said he would talk to his manager about refunding at least part of the $500 since the repair didn't fix the problem. The next day, he called to say, no discount. I told him that the $500 repair that was supposed to correct the problem took the technician 30 minutes and I would at least like a refund for part of the $330 labor charge. The answer was no. I traded the car immediately, and because the Check Engine light was on, I lost another $1,500 on the trade in. I wrote to Global Imports twice, once in Dec & again in Jan and copied the national Mini office. The National office was very concerned and responsive. They did everything possible over the past two months to contact Global Imports to solve my complaint, but Global Imports did not even respond to the requests for information from their National office. Last week, the National office rep said she finally heard back from Global Imports, gave me the name of the manager, said he told the Regional Mgr he had tried to contact me and had left me messages and was waiting to hear from me. I told her that no one had ever contacted me from Global Imports, no voice mail, messages, emails or letters. But I agreed to try again to call Mr. James Hall to resolve this conflict. Of course, when I called and left another voice mail he never returned my call. Nor did he respond to an email. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and checked their rating for Global Imports Mini. Global Imports Mini has earned an "F" with the BBB and the BBB site states that Global Imports did not respond to any of their several customer complaints, thus they earn an "F" rating. If you expect professional service and expect a response if you have a problem--Do not use Global Imports Mini. Do not buy your Mini Cooper from Global Imports Mini--their are better, more professional dealers. If you buy there or have a service problem, they will not respond to the problem, they will stonewall you, hoping you will go away. You will have to take them to court to get a resolution on your complaint. Think about it. "F" rating with BBB. Buyer Beware. read more

This is probably the most unethical business I have ever had the misfortune of working with. I purchased my car as a certified pre-owned vehicle along with an additional warranty that was supposed to cover "everything but the tires" for the next few years. However, every time I had my car serviced, they would find something that "wasn't covered" to charge me for and would also find additional problems with the car. Over the course of a few months and several service appointments, I expressed that I thought my car was leaking oil. My completely unconcerned Service Advisor Desmond continuously told me my car was fine, that Minis/BMWs "burn oil", but less than a month after a major service, my car started smoking and shaking while driving to work and I thought was going to catch on fire. I ended up having to have a head job performed on my car which took about six weeks for them to complete, at which time I was nearing the end of my warranty and asked that all of my upcoming service be performed as well. Shortly after my warranty expired, my car started running out of coolant between oil changes, even though I had just had a coolant flush. When I asked if their work was guaranteed for a period of time, I was told that it was not - not because they don't guarantee their work - but because it had been completed under warranty, one I paid thousands of dollars for and not out of pocket. As much as I love my Mini, I will never take it here for service or purchase another vehicle from Global Imports again. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Just moved to Atlanta from Seattle and getting our mini serviced currently. I've had an excellent experience. I called day of to see if they could get me in that afternoon (my husband is out of town and we wanted to do the service while he was away). They were able to accommodate my schedule and were so very speedy. I had the brakes done and some other minor things in about 90 minutes. They replaced a lightbulb for free and frequently updated me on time and expense of the services needed done. Very pleased and will return here in the future. While all the staff were courteous and knowledgeable, I can not say enough positive things about Vikash, who sold me my car. I worked with Vikash over several weeks, making a number of visits to Global Imports until I could make a decision that I was extremely happy with. He was incredibly patient through all of my questions and inquiries. He really knows about the mechanics and specs on the MINI, and is clearly very passionate about the company and its cars. Being a MINI owner himself, he spoke from experience, and at the same time, was able to offer objective opinions when I needed them. To be such a new salesman, Vikash really went above and beyond in his performance. He insured that I left the dealership with a car I loved and that I could reasonably afford after much searching and contemplation. Don't go for service. I went in and explained, that my check engine light was on after getting an oil change that was preformed by Valvoline. I also stated the oil light came on directly after leaving. I went on to say that I wanted an oil change and asked if they could check the check engine light. I was told, that would be an extra charge of $99., which I refused, not when I could get a diagnostic free of charge elsewhere. After getting the oil change, I asked again if service noticed anything while preforming the oil change because the gentleman helping said he would see if anything looked peculiar. He stated, I didn't check. Well oil light went off after oil change. No ethics or integrity, he never said, oil light is now off, bad oil may have been the problem. Don't go find a place that values clients. Yes, I agree you have to make money. But in business, ethics prevail, and cost will take care of itself. read more

We have been waiting for 4 months to get the title to the car they sold us and we've received nothing but LIES as to the reason we don't have the title yet. Ignored e-mails, excuse after excuse. I finally went in person after receiving my registration notice for the car we traded. More excuses and lies. Marvin, the general manager lied that he didn't get my e-mails. Title department is useless and no help. I curse this car every day I walk by it in the garage to get to my car. That's how bad our experience has been. I also purchased my 2008 MINI Cooper from Global ... and the experience was great. I had my MINI Cooper serviced at Global three times since my purchase ... and the experience was great. But for the past 4 weeks ---- they don't seem very interest in my pleas to schedule some routine service. I have called 4 different times: First attempt --- the person answering the call insisted that I owned 2 Coopers in her system ... and told me I would have to talk to my service rep; Second attempt --- I was told my serv rep had changed and she would have him call me (never got a call); Third attempt --- I got the serv rep recording / left my name & number on a Friday morning .... and found a phone message from him on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 (Gees ... now what "Mini Driver" is going to be sitting around on a Saturday afternoon waiting on a call??? LOL, well not me!); Fourth attempt --- I called again / got the message machine / left a message / 3 days later --- still no return call. Enough is enough .... I called MINI of South Atlanta and my new service rep Marty could not help me fast enough! He told me the wait would probably be about an hour and half ... and he came to get me in a bit over an hour. Donuts, coffee, bottle water and fruit! Bottom line, Global seems to be slipping and I would rather take my MINI to someone that wants my business. This rating is not based on a particular service complaint .... I am really unhappy with this dealers service departments honesty. On my last two visits they have pushed uneccessay repairs. Today it was a water pump even though it was clear that the only problem was a thermostat housing. The quote from global ws $12000 and an independent fixed it for $270 with the part still purchased from Global. My visit before it was brakes and an alignment. Both were not needed on a 2010 Cooper S with 23000 miles. My purchase experience was good with Global but I i will never take my car back to them for service again nor purchase another vehicle from them. read more
