The food was amazing. Our waiter Tony was so awesome. The ambiance was incredible. My drinks was wonderful

The best food I had in a while. I had a small salad with some grilled shrimp, my fiance had the steak and we had the creme brulee for dessert. I really want to emphasize how good the creme brulee was. I have dreams about it. The crust was so nice and burnt and the custard was perfection. We unfortunately don't live in town, but next time we're here we will be back.

I met the manager (Frisbee--excuse me if I got that wrong!) during a night out, and he had such great things to say about the food that we made a reservation on the spot. I'm so glad we did -- the food absolutely did not disappoint, and neither did the service. The drinks were made perfectly, and the entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I'd definitely love to come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Global Grill did not disappoint! The wife and I along with friends (total of 6) enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Reservation for 530, we arrived several minutes early and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Samantha, was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Throughout the table, we ordered NY Strip Steak with mashed potatoes and veggies x3, Filet Mingon with mashed potatoes and veggies, Sesame Tuna with mash potatoes and asparagus with a tempura crust, Lobster Wontons and Chile Rellenos. We finished off with Carrot Cake, NY Style Cheesecake, and Gooey Center Spanish Chocolate Cake. A very enjoyable evening with great food and friends. I forgot to take pictures of everyone meals; however, I was able to find most through yelp and IG. The picture is identical to our entrees. Enjoy!

I'm super glad this restaurant isn't claimed on Yelp. I wouldn't want an owner or manager or anyone to see this review. It brings me great shame to not support this long-standing stalwart, fine-dining restaurant in my home town. But after trying amazing food in bigger cities, and even just-as-amazing food in Pensacola, the Global Grill has got to be better. Everything about the ambiance and the service was perfect, actually. A beautiful dining room with a classy-looking bar and giant windows looking out at the hustle and bustle of Palafox Street, particularly beautiful when it's all dressed up for the holidays. And the server was on point. Our glasses were never empty, and he was quick to make realistic and good recommendations on what we should order. No issues here. Now for the food. We looked at the entrees they offered, and decided to order just a bunch of their hot tapas, two off their regular menu, and two specials they were having that night. Lamb Lollipops (Israeli Couscous & Sun Dried Tomato Jus). The flavor here was very good, but the cuts of the lamb were everywhere, very irregular. And the sides of the chops were seared to an overcooked degree, hiding the beautiful medium rare they are probably supposed to be. Pork Tenderloin Medallions (Espresso & Chili-Rubbed, Chorizo Gravy, Apple Chutney). Again, very good flavor. Love the espresso/chorizo combo. But many, these poor little medallions were killed and turned basically into pork jerky. Super sad. Another one we had was a scallop special they were running, with a cream sauce and some noodles. The chef must have been frustrated with how many things he was killing, so these scallops were actually undercooked. I've never seen that in all my days. Now actually, the crispy fried red snapper special we got was really good. It was served with some sorts of rice and creamed spinach. And it was super delicious. Actually cooked very well, and I loved the spinach/rice combo. It felt very homemade, but still elevated. Then it was time for dessert! Gooey Centered Spanish Chocolate Cake (Housemade Basil Ice Cream, Pecans). I loved the sweetness of the cake and how it played well with the basil ice cream. I know the cake was supposed to have a gooey center, but dang, could it at least look like a cake and not a smattering of racoon dung? Anyway, as hard as this review was to write, I had to tell the truth. Global Grill was one of the pioneers of fine dining in Pensacola, but the lack of attention to details in the kitchen has certainly lost them a customer here, Especially with two amazing amazing restaurants less than three blocks from them. So sorry, Global Grill. Rest in peace, my old friend.

As always a great dinner. I will always recommend the Violet Beauregard for a drink. we always get the pork tenderloins, the crabcake was fantastic. Caesar salad is always on point. I always get the New York strip steak with the add-on, wife had the filet..

Pros: The location and the views absolutely cannot be beat. Right in the heart of downtown, with giant windows showcasing the beautiful Christmas decorations on Palafox. It really was super nice. The service was great. We were very well taken care of. The menu sounded really great. Tapas, when done well, are a great way to try many different things from many different categories; meat, seafood, veggies, pasta, etc. Cons: The execution was lacking majorly. The slicing of the meats was weird and uneven. The cook on the meats was very off. My first undercooked scallop ever. It was just way off for the kind of restaurant this place was trying to be. Tips: Go to the Union Public House instead. But if you have to come here, get anything they have with red snapper. That one was amazing.

I've been coming to Global Grill for years and it's always a pleasure. This time, we ordered some items that were not my favorite. Namely, the lobster wontons and chile relleno. I'm not a fan of wontons to begin with, but my dad wanted to try and I still didn't like it. The crunchy to filling ratio isn't good and the filling was too creamy. The chile relleno tasted very Mexican, which was to be expected based on the description, but I just didn't like it. The other 3 dishes were lovely. The lamp lollipop and brussel sprouts are a GG classic and never go wrong. The scallop special was delicious and unique. The beet risotto was on the bland side, but the scallops themselves were fantastic. Our server (I think his name was Mark?) was sweet and attentive. He came by the table enough to make sure we had what we needed but didn't feel rushed or overly attended to. The ambience is calm and quiet with artwork by locals on the walls (which are able to be purchased if you like!).

Service was very nice , our server made sure we liked the wine before he got us a bottle and even told us all the prices instead of just giving it to us! The food was so good !! We got appetizers and we were perfectly stuffed. The ambiance was really calming the restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night

Do they have a corkage fee? Or allow diners to bring their own bottle with or without corkage?

Do they have a private dining space for bigger groups?

They don't have a private space but they do have an area that can be used depending on size of group that would be viable for a large group and give a modicum of privacy. It's their dining area behind the bar off from the main bar/dining area

    Do they take reservations?

Yea and I recommend you make them! They don't do same day reservations from what I remember

    Are leashed pets allowed here?

No pets allowed inside. No outside seating available.

The drinks were refreshing and excellent. The mixologist at the bar did a fantastic job Due to an error in our bar orders we were actually provided our first order on the house. They hit that mark, but it cost me $40 with tax & tip. That is for just a salad and an order of french fries! The water came quickly in a real glass and tasted excellent. Very clean and cold, and greatly appreciated. Since it was a real glass I did not ask for a straw which is unusual for me. I enjoyed a nice view of the skatepark across the street as I dined, and watching all the people having a good time in the outdoors was refreshing. Most restaurants don't offer a view like this. There are a set of dining bars with chairs at the windows on either side of the door to amplify the view, but I opted for a traditional table since there were many available when I entered. As for the food... well, it was good, but not great. The $14 iceberg wedge was dotted with some delicious pancetta and gorgonzola cheese, and the lettuce was super fresh and crisp. Where it missed the mark was the overly mayonnaisey dressing. It really needed some more seasoning or something and I could not taste any buttermilk at all, even though it is called a "herb buttermilk dressing." The single cherry tomato (halved) was delicious and sweet, as were the 4 thin slices of radish. While the presentation was nice, it really needed more tomatoes and radish in my opinion, and a stoutly buttermilk dressing. The duck fat fries were crisp, too crisp. I enjoy the soft mushy potato inside the crispness of lard-fried potatoes, but very few of these offered that. They were generally too crisp, and some were crispy all the way thru making them a solid crisp. They came mostly unseasoned so I had to use the salt shaker generously. The sausage bits were good but a bit on the greasy side. The dipping sauce was mild, bland and oily, and I wished they had offered a ketchup alongside as well. Whether homemade or store bought, ketchup would have added color and some much needed acidity to the plate. Your mileage will vary, but for me, there are better options in my price range and this is not a place I can take hungry teenagers.
