I found One Love Events on Yelp while searching for wedding coordinators. And, let me just say, if you are getting married you NEED a "day of" wedding coordinator. My husband was skeptical about hiring a wedding coordinator, but even he was completely onboard after meeting with Delina and Whitney. Who's going to put out your decorations while you're getting your hair/makeup done with bridal party? Who is going to queue the music or musicians? Who is going to sit at the venue for hours and receive all the vendors, because someone has to be there (flowers, caterers, cake, etc)? If you're like me, your family and friends are going to be in your wedding and logistically you need them in other places. Also, who is going to pack up all of your gifts, decorations, food/cake at the end of the night and put it in someone's car for you? Believe me, you don't want your friends and family stuck with these tasks when they could be enjoying your wedding with you. One Love Event staff handled all of this us! I admit I was a little nervous contacting One Love Events at first because they did not have any "Yelp recommended" reviews. But, let me just say, they were completely legit and professional. Delina and Whitney have been doing this for years. We hired them just for "day of" wedding coordinator services, but we got more than just "day of" services. We had pre-wedding meetings, calls/texts, and just a lot of communication before the wedding. I think they sent us vendor recommendations and a checklist too. Plus, Delina helped run the rehearsal the night before the wedding and collected all the wedding decorations. Also, if you're worried a wedding coordinator will cost a fortune, you're not alone. My husband and I paid for everything ourselves and wanted the most for our money. I called another 5 Star rated wedding coordinator company here on Yelp and I think they quoted like $3,000-$5,000 for only one staff member. Crazy. One Love showed up with at least 3 people that I saw and One Love was way, way, way more affordable than $3,000 for one coordinator. They also let you pay in installments and I was able to pay everything online. To sum it up, be a wise bride or groom and book them immediately!

We held our wedding on March 29, 2025, with over 500 guests, including many who traveled from out of state and internationally. While the celebration was memorable in many ways, it was due largely to the hard work of our family and the patience of our guests. Unfortunately, there were several issues with the venue that significantly impacted our experience. * Venue Access: We were promised full use of the Bellaire room, but only received access to half due to construction. We were not made aware of the final changes until the day of the event. This impacted layout and vendor setup, leading to unexpected additional costs. * Power Accessibility: Several electrical outlets were not functioning, creating complications for our vendors. * Restroom Conditions: Restrooms were not cleaned or maintained during the event and lacked hot water. Multiple guests brought this to our attention. * Weather Contingency: A tent was discussed in early planning as a complimentary option in the event of rain. We were later told--one day before the wedding--that it would cost $10,000 and had to be arranged a week in advance. Unfortunately, it rained during the event, and no coverage was provided. * Safety Concerns: During the rainstorm, staff began mopping the floors while guests sought shelter, and no wet floor signs were posted. This created safety concerns. * Seating Plan Issues: A detailed seating chart and layout were sent via email and reviewed during our walkthrough. On the wedding day, the plan was not followed. When we asked for clarification, the coordinator - Cathy, said she never received it, despite email confirmation on March 11th. * A/V Services: We paid $811 for six TVs to display our short film and seating plan. The TVs were non-functional during the event, and the on-site technician was not present. We were informed for the first time that our external DJ was expected to manage the venue's equipment, which was not part of the agreement. * Security and Staffing: We were told there would be two security officers, but only one was present. Several tables, including key family seating, were missing. The day-of coordinator, Cathy - was unavailable at critical times, and our family had to step in to support logistics during the storm. We paid over $35,000 and took many steps to confirm details in advance, including sending a comprehensive planning booklet and email follow-ups. Despite that, the event day was marked by disorganization and unfulfilled commitments. Our wedding was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. We had hoped for a smooth and professional experience. Half the event was held outside, and when it rained, there was no contingency plan. The owner's only solution was to tell our guests--many of whom flew in from around the world--to go home. We reached out privately and never received a response. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

Needless to say, I was stressed! After only a few minutes of speaking with Lisa, all my worries began to fade. Lisa brought the vision of my wedding to life -- in fact, she made it better than I imagined! She carefully selected the best vendors for me and never stopped working until she knew I had exactly what I wanted. With the amount of care and attention she gave me you'd think I was her only client at the time (spoiler: I wasn't, she had many!) but I never felt that. Every call, email, and need was answered promptly. What should have been a stressful three months of planning ended up an absolute breeze thanks to Lisa. As for day-of wedding coordinators, I could not have hoped for a better team and support system than Lisa and Tiffany. As to be expected with all weddings, problems arise, however, I had zero clue about any of it all thanks to my Stress-Free team! They handled every problem -- sometimes even before they became a problem! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Including the surprise firework show that I had planned for my husband and our guests during our first dance. No one else knew about the fireworks except myself and Lisa. This surprise took expert level coordinating as I wanted the show to begin at a precise moment and time. Lisa coordinated with the DJ, photographer, and pyrotechnic team flawlessly. It was a perfect moment we will never forget! I cannot thank Lisa enough for her hard work and dedication to making my dream wedding possible. Okay, a preface to my review before you hear about my experience. This place is a historic home in…read morehistoric downtown McKinney. It's absolutely beautiful, and makes amazing pictures for your wedding day. Nothing that I have to say is about how beautiful the location is, or any crazy hidden surprises (okay, maybe one) about the house. Please, look at the photos I posted from my own wedding to see how incredible this place looks and how well it photographs. Now, on to why it got three stars. When we first went (a year before our target wedding date) we were told that there were only 2 weekends left in the month of October and that it would cost x amount of dollars more (I can't remember the exact number) if we wanted an evening wedding because it was "in such high demand". We really loved the place, some friends of ours had been married there, so we swallowed the pill and moved on. Looking back, I really doubt it was that crowded seeing how easily they got us in for a rehearsal practice, I think we got ripped off. During the many many months up to the wedding they were so hard to get a hold of. They never answered their phone and sometimes it took two or three urgent voicemails before they would call us back. The woman who owns it convinced us we would need the extra hour added on to our package and when we didn't even remotely use it (finished earlier than the original time anyway) they wouldn't refund us even though THEY got to go home early because of it. Several things the actual week/day of the wedding. At our rehearsal we noticed that a strand of lights on the gazebo was out, we asked them to fix it and they didn't. The owner's mother is a florist and when we refused to use her because her prices were OUTRAGEOUS they retaliated (or so we believe) by leaving this horribly ugly bright orange/palm leaf floral arrangement on the top of the gazebo. Our colors were brown and blue, and she knew we were getting married later and left it up. It's now in all of our wedding pictures (see the example I posted) and honestly made putting our wedding album together a $@&!# because it was in EVERYTHING. We had to do a bunch of black and white photos because of it. I am still angry about it. As far as the weird surprise goes, their "bride's suite" is behind their laundry room and not very well appointed. We had to rent a hotel room so my party and I could get dressed because honestly, there is no where to sit down in there. Also, laundry room. Also, scary as hell doll-filled room right next to it. Like seriously, this is a lost scene from that weird 80's movie where dolls kill everyone. Also, the food we sampled at the tasting we went to was not what the food tasted like the night of my wedding. They cater their own weddings and the food at the tasting was pretty good, the night of it was disgusting. I really think they used left-over food from the wedding before because it was luke-warm like it had been under a heat lamp and flavorless. Luckily my cake was incredible and made up for it. They really made my wedding difficult to enjoy. They were not there to help us at all, and the women we hired to be "day of wedding helpers" were the only reason my party and I even got down the aisle. They were way overpriced for the terrible level of service they provided, and the terrible catering. Their only saving grace is the beauty of the house and the picturesque aspects of historic downtown McKinney.

The owners, Carol and Cheryl are awesome to work with and are available any time you need them for anything. The home is just beautiful and has a lot of character, which makes it exciting to decorate. We were able to go the night before the wedding and set the venue up. When we arrived after the wedding on Saturday the owners and their crew were busy as bees making sure the guests had everything they needed. The cakes they made were awesome and the food was delicious. The punch is exceptional and the chocolate fountain was a huge hit. The bride and groom were extremely pleased as were all the guests, and this grandmother was smiling. Everything was affordable and worth every penny.
