I reached out to Dallas Palms via email on April 10, 2025, to share our concerns privately. As of April 22, there has been no response, so I am posting this review to help inform other couples. We held our wedding on March 29, 2025, with over 500 guests, including many who traveled from out of state and internationally. While the celebration was memorable in many ways, it was due largely to the hard work of our family and the patience of our guests. Unfortunately, there were several issues with the venue that significantly impacted our experience. * Venue Access: We were promised full use of the Bellaire room, but only received access to half due to construction. We were not made aware of the final changes until the day of the event. This impacted layout and vendor setup, leading to unexpected additional costs. * Power Accessibility: Several electrical outlets were not functioning, creating complications for our vendors. * Restroom Conditions: Restrooms were not cleaned or maintained during the event and lacked hot water. Multiple guests brought this to our attention. * Weather Contingency: A tent was discussed in early planning as a complimentary option in the event of rain. We were later told--one day before the wedding--that it would cost $10,000 and had to be arranged a week in advance. Unfortunately, it rained during the event, and no coverage was provided. * Safety Concerns: During the rainstorm, staff began mopping the floors while guests sought shelter, and no wet floor signs were posted. This created safety concerns. * Seating Plan Issues: A detailed seating chart and layout were sent via email and reviewed during our walkthrough. On the wedding day, the plan was not followed. When we asked for clarification, the coordinator - Cathy, said she never received it, despite email confirmation on March 11th. * A/V Services: We paid $811 for six TVs to display our short film and seating plan. The TVs were non-functional during the event, and the on-site technician was not present. We were informed for the first time that our external DJ was expected to manage the venue's equipment, which was not part of the agreement. * Security and Staffing: We were told there would be two security officers, but only one was present. Several tables, including key family seating, were missing. The day-of coordinator, Cathy - was unavailable at critical times, and our family had to step in to support logistics during the storm. We paid over $35,000 and took many steps to confirm details in advance, including sending a comprehensive planning booklet and email follow-ups. Despite that, the event day was marked by disorganization and unfulfilled commitments. Our wedding was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. We had hoped for a smooth and professional experience. I'm writing this as a family member who helped plan a wedding at Dallas Palms on March 29, 2025. Despite paying over $35,000 and planning for months, the venue fell short in major ways--limited access to the space we were promised, dirty restrooms, broken A/V, and poor communication. Half the event was held outside, and when it rained, there was no contingency plan. The owner's only solution was to tell our guests--many of whom flew in from around the world--to go home. I highly recommend the Dallas Palms- especially if you're someone working with a tight budget but not wanting to compromise the quality of your event. The staff is amazing and very helpful throughout the planning process. I hosted a baby shower for some good friends early January '21 and we needed a venue that would accommodate the number of guests we had as far as space due to COVID, but also wouldn't break the bank. The Dallas Palms was perfect. Special shout-out to Ms. Cathy Duncan who made it all happen on very short notice, including a last minute major decor change. Currently, I am planning/coordinating a wedding for another friend who is on a very small budget (less than $10k). Cathy worked with us on a quote that met that budget and still allows for a great event. The location is great. The space is well put together and maintained. I am a newly engaged bride to be, looking at venues for my wedding in 2021. Dallas Palms unfortunately was my first stop on the list and needless to say I had a less than worthy experience. I was extremely disappointed and felt as though I was a burden to the individual who provided my fiancé and I with the tour. He did not sell me on the experience or make me feel worthy of the service they were willing to provide us. Let's just say I was extremely disappointed with the experience and the space. To begin the gentleman gave us prices and numbers before asking anything about our engagement, how we met or even what we were looking for in a venue. Maybe five minutes into our awkward and stale conversation he started the tour. When he lead us into the room that we possibly would host our reception in he gave no details about seating, set up or decor options. Oh and did I mention we saw the space with the lights off! He provided poor quality service and only showed half of the space to us. We didn't even see the ceremony room, which I'm glad because I didn't look forward to wasting any more of my time with him beyond my horrid 10 minute tour. Came here for a good friend's wedding and it is such a beautiful venue. I honestly didnt even know that this venue even existed until I attended the wedding. Dallas Palms is PERFECT if the couple wants a low-key and intimate wedding. During the ceremony, the bride and groom walked down the two separate stairs and it was sooo unique. The bride was breathtaking as she appeared at the top of the stairs. The ceremony and reception area were in two different places, which isnt a long walk at all. That works out because the guests are wearing some uncomfortable heels (ME!). The reception area was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and I couldnt imagine anything more perfect.The only issue I had was that the cocktail area was located in the area as the reception, which I think should be separated until the wedding party is finished taking their pictures. I find it awkward sitting at the reception table for a long period of time until the food was being served. Overall: I am really impressed with the venue and would love to have the option of having my own wedding there. Both reception and ceremony was very organized and flowed perfectly. We booked Dallas Palms when it first opened (2014) and it was a fantastic experience. With that in mind, we went back for another event this year. Unfortunately, I cannot in good faith recommend Palms to anyone. When our event neared, the City of Dallas announced restrictions on large events due to COVID19. While we were disappointed - it seemed pretty simple to us - Dallas Palms could not fulfill its obligation (understandably) so we would be issued a refund. Per Dallas Palms, their contract grants them immunity even if they cannot fulfill their obligations. We either must have another event (which is silly, the event was time sensitive) or forfeit any funds we have paid (in this case, upwards of 10k). The unfortunate part is the contract was presented as a formality, with several items crossed off or verbally changed and the force majuere clause presented as something to protect us. We tried to meet Palms in the middle to refund half our money back - and even though we had no use for an event, we would commit to throwing an event of half the size just for the sake of supporting our local business during this tough time. Palms gladly agreed to a smaller event - but no refund (doubling the price per person). At this point, we want to have nothing to do with Dallas Palms. Unfortunately they have a $xx,xxxx interest free loan from us that they refuse to return. At best, we can wait for a friend who may need an event and pawn the funds off to them and/or contact a DTPA lawyer. If you are considering an event at Dallas Palms, I would highly suggest looking in to alternatives. At a minimum, I would recommend reviewing their contract with a lawyer & buying the most expensive event insurance you can find. Even that may not be enough as per their emails, they are 'doing their best to not declare bankruptcy'. 2 stars only because the folks at their office were nice, kind people. read more

I've was hoping I would get a response from this company after our June 15, 2019 event. I sent them the following email on June 18th. I've tried calling. No one answers. I went on vacation and still nothing. It's quite disappointing after the few events our family had kept there and future business they have lost. **************** Hello Cathy, Please feel free to share this email with Nadia and whomever else necessary. We were truly excited to work with you to plan our daughter's graduation after our cousin Rohoni's 2 events we attended at your location. From our initial meeting with Fahad to the day of the party, for the most part everything went smoothly except the Security and Bartender misinformation. Just to refresh your memory, in our initial meeting with Fahad, he did commit to including the Security and Bartender charge. Even after I spoke to him, he still did not acknowledge his mistake. You did try to smooth it over with covering the cost of the Bartender charge. I appreciated that. The few times I met with you, you kept assuring me that y 'all were professionals and not to worry. And I expressed myself several times, that this was hard for me to hand over the reins to someone else and trust everything will be taken care of. But I did with your assurances. The Day of the Party 1. The 2 monitors were promised for our slideshow but instead we got was a projector and one pull up screen as if we were in a classroom. 2. At this point, you offered to refund us the cost of the 2 monitors. Let's start there... 3. I had asked for a table for upstairs for the DJ to setup. We had to say something. 4. 3 tall boys were supposed to be in the garden but we opted for the front entrance since the garden was not in sight. Did not see them in the front. 5. My request for appetizers to be served at 7:15 was ignored. Instead, I was asked if I wanted to still serve my apps because my guests were still arriving. 6. I told whoever that was stick to the schedule for apps. 7. The apps weren't served until about 7:30. 8. My cheese quesadillas were instead chicken quesadillas. I specifically ordered that for my vegetarian guests. They didn't get anything to eat until near 8pm. You told me the chef decided to do something extra for me due to whatever you told him about me. ??? 9. The cheese quesadillas came out right before the buffet was set up. 10. I never saw 2 servers at the same time. 11. The chips, queso, guacamole and salsa were not put out during appetizer time. We had to say something. It finally made its way right before the buffet was to be set up. 12. The chips and salsas were not refilled as needed. NO FRESH JALAPENOS. This was one of my specific requests. I did get the spicy salsa. 13. The guacamole did taste good but didn't realize I was only allotted one bowl instead of refills throughout the buffet. 14. The buffet was not setup in a manner that made sense. The plates had to be moved and the food rearranged. We had to say something. 15. The tortillas were still wrapped in foil. No one started unwrapping it until I did. We had to say something. 16. I asked for flour tortillas only. I received flour and corn. 17. I asked for the veggie fajita mix. I got a green beans mix instead. 18. By that time, the buffet was ready, it was about 8:15. 19. Then you had a server for the chicken fajita. Did not know there would be one present monitoring the chicken. 20. However, the chicken wasn't replenished until the first set was practically gone. People thought that was all the food. 21. Please do not tell me my guests went through food meant for 100 people. 22. Because of all these delays, I lost near an hour of my time running behind you and your staff. 23. The Bartender Ray was great! 24. The Security Guard was nice. 25. The dessert table looked good. We paid a lot of money for Dallas Palms to handle everything for us. We were constantly being reassured you all were professionals and knew what you were doing. Overall my daughter had a good time because we did our best to keep our disappointments to ourselves. So let's start with #2's offer to remedy the monitor issues and go from there since Dallas Palms failure to maintain their part of the agreement was not met. Ours definitely was. We would appreciate a timely response. Have a lovely day. *^********** Today is July 29th and still no response, no compensation. Very disappointing. I feel Ms. Cathy did her best with what she had. I feel DP should have a separate person in charge of hospitality and leave Ms. Cathy to decorations and setup. Having her running between 2 events may have caused some of these issues. I had my reception here in November of 2016. This place is great because they can do everything for you! Before finding Dallas Palms I was disappointed when I saw wedding venues that didn't offer anything besides the venue. You had to rent tables, linens, and find a caterer all on your own. Dallas Palms truly has it all! Cathy was our wedding coordinator and helped us with whatever we needed. The other staff was friendly and helpful as well. Dallas Palms can help you with pretty much anything you need. For example they helped us look for DJ's, mariachi bands, set up the venue, and make the boutiques/boutineers. They provided the tables/chairs, linens, and silverware. (and I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting) There are many unique things that the Dallas Palms can offer you, but one of my favorite things they did was our dessert bar. We didn't want a traditional wedding cake and this was something different they could offer. The bar was full of ice cream with toppings, an assortment of cookies and cupcakes. It was so fun and guests loved that they could have something sweet whenever they wanted. I hope you have a great experience like we did and give this place a chance! Not only was the food we had prepared perfectly cooked buy the staff went above and beyond to make sure the night flowed smoothly! We were very excited for our wedding. We had to cancel because of the pandemic. Understandably so. Because of the clause in the contract stating basically as long as the building is still standing we have to have the event, we cannot get any money back. While most of the time I would understand this, this pandemic isn't going away anytime soon. We have parents that are high risk. We are going to have a newborn baby. So I am not going to risk them for a party. This venue will not make any exceptions whatsoever which is very disappointing. I have to risk myself and my loved ones to get my money's worth? You have to find a guest that maybe can help. Cold appetizers. Dry chicken breast with some weird rice that was so spicy most people could not eat it and salad. Just a note: I Yelp messaged Annie (another reviewer) asking her about her experience right after I booked. I can now tell you that her review is almost spot on. Bebe (a coordinator that was fired from DP) confirmed that her wedding was not properly executed. Here goes: Overall, my wedding planning process with Dallas Palms can be best described as stressful and saddening. Yes, the venue is gorgeous, and the food is great, and they give you individual attention. But what's the point if you have to fight tooth and nail to get them to execute what you agreed on before? There are lots of gorgeous, good venues in Dallas, that don't run in an unprofessional manner. I once had sat 2 hours for a meeting I had scheduled. Then, someone came and talked to me for five minutes (didn't listen, just talked), told me what I needed to do, and then just left. I just sat there waiting for my wedding coordinator to come, but she kept being told she had sell tickets for a bridal expo they were doing. She's a coordinator! She should be spending time with clients (namely one waiting on her)! Well she tried to get away and talked to us and stayed late doing it so it's not her fault. She did her best. I just don't understand why Dallas Palms doesn't let their coordinators do their job and give their clients a good experience. There was a time that I was about to pay the cancellation fee and find another venue. If you want to be led astray, be fed a sales pitch all the time, hate your wedding & be told to settle for mediocrity, then book them. Otherwise, be happy with your choice and go somewhere else! Pros: 1. Nadia did an excellent job with my Pithi stage. Grateful! 2. Food Cons: 1. Constantly being exposed to the organization's internal turmoil- they kept switching wedding coordinators on me b/c they kept getting fired. Finally got one 2 months before the wedding. She slaved away for both my events (thank you Kristy!) to make up for the horrible experience with coordination, only to be told by a member of the dallas palms team that she didn't need to do anything for my pre-wedding event, as I was not paying coordination fees for that. Well i was paying for a constant wedding coordinator, and I didn't get that at all so Kristy was just trying to make for that. 2. I've edited this item. Before I thought the cake had been thrown away. I just spoke to my guests about it, seems like they saw the cake (and food) being boxed up into single meals, then given to staff members. They took my cake home. Forget the food, but I paid someone else for cake, NOT them. When some guests asked for cake during dancing, they were told it was gone. Kristy herself saw cake being boxed up. so there WAS some cake left. When we came to get it, she didn't know where it went (thanks for trying Kristy). So sad, as they never served my husband and I cake at our own wedding, and they took it home for themselves. 3. My bridal party was constantly disrespected. MOH was talked down to and they turned the AC off on them. Groomsmen were setting up the seating chart and were constantly disrespected all day. 4. Always being told no b/c it was inconvenient... even when I was promised the same thing before I signed. Once again... one big sales pitch. read more

This venue has 3 different buildings, in different sizes depending on your event. This is by far the best spot I have gone to so far in Dallas. I think I already said that about another venue but apparently I did not see them all! For Indian events they cater from Mayuri's which I love because their food is actually good. The venues have stairwells so bride and groom can enter like that, which I think is so lovely. I was emailing with Beverly at first before I came to see the place, and she had me meet her up the next day to see the venue. She was so professional and funny, and answered all the questions we had. They have a decorator you can work with, and photobooth ideas, green screen... A lot of fun ideas you can do and work with them on. Their price is pretty fair for the location and how the venue looks. Plus they seem so professional and willing to do all the work vs other venues who don't provide a lot of things. read more

Dallas Palms is a gorgeous venue and perfect for any brides fairytale wedding!! My reception was located in the Bel Air ballroom. Dallas Palms did an excellent job with the flowers and decor for my special night. My guests were all in awe of the ballroom. Nadia and Kathy assured me that my special night would be perfect and they followed through with their word. I had both beef and chicken served to each guest along with 2 vegetables, bread and salad. The food was wonderful. Irma, the head captain for the evening was Amazing!! She made sure that everything was on point. She and her staff worked hard and had smiles on their faces for the entirety of the event. As far as cost is concerned, Dallas Palms is extremely reasonable and will work to fit your budget. I would choose them all over again and recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and elegant venue. read more

We have used this venue for several occasions in the last couple of years since it opened. The first time we hosted an event there was for our daughter's sweet 16th birthday party. We were looking for a newer location and checked out several locations in Dallas and Addison area. They have 3 hall choices and our daughter loved the hall with a central staircase that was ideal for her entry during the event, hence we picked Dallas a Palms as the final venue. The entire arrangement including food, service and decor was so perfect that we decided to use it again later for an office Christmas party and subsequently for several other events including a musical evening for a charitable organization and a friend's 40th birthday. At each of these events, we have been very pleased with their attention to detail and personal service we received from their event planner. They offer an array of menu choices. For my daughter's birthday we had Mexican and Italian Stations with fresh food being prepared per each individual's choice. At other events we have had Indian food there. We have been highly satisfied each time. Parking is ample. In addition there is a lot of outdoor space available with each hall. Venue would have been ideal if it was in Dallas rather than Carrolton, but still fairly conveniently located for all our DFW area friends and we enjoy hosting events there. read more

Booked Dallas Palms for 2 wedding events. Initially they both were nice and seemed to cater all our needs. Our first event (pre wedding celebration): food was good, the décor was almost close as discussed. The afternoon of the event the decorator sent me the pic of stage and I requested to make few changes because it was little different but she refused to do that. Well that was kind of the beginning of upcoming disaster. Upon arrival; I found out that stairwell was never draped the way we discussed and the decorator was no where to be found. Finally the server started to wrap it and it was finished while the guest were pouring in. Not acceptable if they are charging you so much and taking entire payment in advance. Next day was horrible and that was my wedding day. The décor was completely different. Not even close to what we were told. The seating was less and they had to put another table in front of everyone to accommodate my standing guests (so embarrassing). They changed the menu!!!! without letting us know. Even though the food tags said the one that we were suppose to have but the items were wrong. The event manager messed up with the timing of food. I mean how dumb one has to be in order to mess up the timing of food serving if you have only 2 events to manage. They even messed up the cake we picked. It was a different cake. Finally the main coordinator came and apologized. Well my wedding was ruined and an apology couldn't fix that. I called coordinator/decorator the same night but they never picked my phone. Eventually he called and we met after 2 days. Regarding the décor part he completely refused to take any responsibility as it was done by his partner even though she was part of dallas palms team. Later he gave us refund of $ 600 as compensation. But guess what; after 2 days he called my husband asking for credit card so that he can charge for those $600. He said he did the refund only to calm me down. How unprofessional. DO NOT BOOK THEM. I WOULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE STAR IF POSSIBLE. read more

We recently visited Dallas Palms as a possible venue for our wedding reception. We were really excited after reading all of the rave reviews. However, our experience hasn't been as positive. Their complete lack of communication and slow response to both emails and phone calls is ridiculous. It took 2 days for them to give us a proposal which was said it'd be sent over the same day. Once the proposal was received they called and changed the pricing on us. I emailed back immediately to ask questions with absolutely no response. It's been a week and a half and I still haven't heard back from them about my questions. I'm really disappointed because I loved the venue, but we're going with someone else who wants our business and has their you-know-what together. read more

My friend just had her wedding here, the place overall is a very pretty place very elegant , but the customer service was HORRIBLE !!! The event coordinator or whatever she was , wasn't very helpful at all !! Things were not the way we had planned it out to be , she wasn't very nice , you would think the amount of money we paid for to have a wedding here they would cater to you and make sure you and the guest were taken care of ! Some rocky moments in the months leading to the wedding. But mostly good. The day of the wedding there was no communication or following of the itinerary. It killed the flow of the wedding and my wife's mood. Recommend having another person on the day of the event to ensure proper flow. One of the severs broke a glass and tried to kick it under the table. Fortunately the other sever and more common sense and swept it up. The building itself was great and food was good. Only one issue with the food. We requested no pineapple in the food due to guests allergies. There was pineapples found in the food. read more

The owner Nadia is supportive and accommodating, but her operations manager Cathy is in the wrong position. She brags about being in the business for 30 years yet tries to downsize contracted services. Don't assume anything! On the day of the wedding, we were told that we couldn't have access to the reception room until 3:30p ( 1/2 hour before the wedding). The decorator had been working with Cathy for months and was originally supposed to have access at 12 noon; the decorator was also a wedding guest and close friend. The reason we were being moved was the room had been recently booked (the Monday before the wedding) for a family brunch. After a heated discussion with Cathy and the host of the brunch, the group left. The host of the brunch was as disgusted as we were when she found out what happened. She vowed to post a review and encouraged us to do the same. To make manners, we paid for an open bar of wine, beer, and margaritas. Beer selections were very nice; wine selections were OK. The kicker was the margarita service - a bottle of tequila was on the table but was not mixed into the margarita mixt. I found out because I was helping to serve drinks - had to because the line wasn't moving because they claimed they didn't have wine glasses, but beer and margaritas could have been served; this was 15 minutes after the cocktail hour started. Guests started complaining that there was no tequila in the margarita. I questioned the bartender and he admitted that there wasn't any...guess the bottle was there to make us think we were getting what we paid for. Prior to the day of the event, there were a few hiccups that got handled, but the day of the event was a horrible experience and we tried to our best to keep the behind the scenes problems from the bridal party. I had my husbands 40th (surprise) birthday party at the Dallas Palms. I had been here once to attend a fundraiser and since then thought it was quite an elegant hall. When time came to decide where to have the surprise party I immediately thought of this place and, was I right about my decision!! From the owner to the manager and the party planner, everyone at this place was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were nothing short of amazing when planning this party for me. I felt like these people were part of my family. They worked tirelessly with me to achieve the party I had imagined and I was blown away with the end result. It was everything and more than what I had imagined. The food was fantastic. My guests were all praises. The venue it self if beautiful but beware. Kathy comes off as if she has your best interest but she doesn't. Make sure you keep up with ALL your paper work if you decide this place or are already stuck in a contract. We booked a bar for the cocktail hour and reception. The bar did not open until 2 hours before the reception was opened. When my coordinator asked Kathy was the bar going to open she responded no. When the bar did open, there was no security we paid for nor was it the second bartender. When we called and talked to Kathy about it, she began to lie and say it was marijuana in the bathroom so she told security to stay outside, then she turned around and said security wasn't in uniform that's why we didn't see them. Also, we had the Bel-Air. According to Kathy the pipes burst which led to an overflow of water and half a garden. According to Nadia it rained very hard which caused it. The contract states when such an even takes place the clients should be notified immediately, instead we found out at the rehearsal. Not one time did anyone approach my husband or I asking what could they do to make things better. Instead they took it in their own hands and placed 600 flower petals on top of dirt, which was tacky. I've tried numerous times to at least get a percentage of the money paid for the garden back, they refuse. They're very insensitive of how the client feels. Kathy also approached a bridesmaid and knocked on her window and asked her "what are you waiting on?" When she told her she was waiting in the bride, she became upset and begin stating she was there to early. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get it. read more
